George , I like Tamiya kits . It can make a nice change after a difficult or involved build. Some of the older kits can be had for a good price , at least in the US . And , I often have more Mojo left for weathering and accessorizing if the build hasn't been difficult . That has certainly been the case with my Tamiya Sdk. 15 Horch and Steyr 1500A trucks . Good builds that I liked weathering and adding bits to . I , myself , get kind of tired of a kit I get bogged down with , especially when PE is involved . Evidently, you don't and that's good . The hobby is big enough for all of us , fortunately.
I can understand what you are saying exactly Tom and i do respect your opinion. But what's pissing me off in tamiya is this, take their tiger tanks for example a 40-50€ kit that doesn't contain the essential pe mesh for the engine deck, but is sold separately from the same company as an aftermarket part! It should be included in the box! Anyway, thanks for stopping by, take care and model on my friend!
@thomasdailey9280 i have a bunch of those also, that's the reason i also like companies like italeri! Less expensive, great and obscure projects and teaching basic modelling skills all in one box
Thanks Johnny! I do believe that this pile of parts will become a good looking single piece of the famous boom stick! Take care and model on my friend!
Thanks Bob! It is a nice challenge to pick the right parts and the kit is so well thought that helps you a lot with your choices. Take care and model on my friend!
Coming along nicely George. My only problem is the Mandatory cold one....In Ireland now its minus 3 with Freezing fog.. yuk.. So cold ones... hmmmmm haha 😄 😆
Hahahaha! A hot brew then! But that punch line is Steve's Jones copyright hahaha! Thanks a lot Don, really appreciate your support my friend, take care and model on!
A lot of sub assemblies! I'm with you when it comes to Tamiya armor. I would rather get a Dragon, Takom or RFM kit for the money. Tamiya aircraft on the other hand I love to build, the Tamiya P-38 being the best kit I've ever seen
That was great time spent this morning George. Thanks for this I enjoyed little pile of subassemblies at the end of the vid haha, as well as your attempts to say … whatever that word was you were trying to say hahahaha
Hahaha, equilibrator! I learnt it, after all the effort hahahaha! Thanks Michael, onwards for gathering more footage to keep you company. Take care and model on my friend!
Coming along really nicely George. It is a great kit, I know what you mean about the other kits that may be a little more expensive but have more detail parts like PE etc. Tamiya aren’t quite idiotic proof though as I’d still manage to find a way to get it wrong.
Thanks Mike, i am glad that you understand what i am saying about the rest of the companies. Tamiya is the most idiot proof one, thing about dragons instructions! Take care and model on my friend!
Nice work with the small details George. I've only built Tamiya armor and not their cars, airplanes or ships as of yet. Ive always felt their prices were high but high quality perfectly fitted pieces. I do want to try some of the newer brands with tank interiors such as Ryefield and Takom. But I still like Tamiya motorized tank models.😁
Motorised tamiya kits are vintage kits David, everyone likes them! Tamiya car kits are fantastic, but most of them lack engine detail. If you try RFM, takom or any other high end company you'll see that they are game changers! Take care and model on my friend!
Thanks Paul! Hahaha, don't worry i am late for everyone's updates as well! Hahaha, life and work always get in the way. Happy new year to you and your family as well, i wish you all the best. Take care and model on my friend!
Great update, dude! Thoroughly enjoying watching your build. I'll take Tamiya over Dragon any day. Sure, you don't get all the extras as you do with Dragon, but Dragon kits are so hit and miss you never know if you're going to get a great kit, or a giant piece of shit. Take care, my friend
Really!? Well i understand that, i am biased with dragon, a lot of modellers i used to watch builded dragon producing builds i couldn't even imagine. Although i said all that for tamiya, i have built and still own a lot of their kits. Thanks for watching as always buddy, take care and model on!
@@ThatMofoDamon Don't get me wrong. I do like Dragon kits ... when they aren't a pain in the ass with WTF instructions and terrible fit issues. The Tiger went together beautifully, and the T34/76 I built when I got back into armour was also a very nice kit. Their SU/100 and T34/85 were both trainwrecks that I never finished. Take care, my friend
Happy New Year to you and your family George :) Wish you guys there a lot fun , fortune , love , prosperity , luck in everything you guys do and most important a good health in 2024 brother :) Looks good wondering whats the end result already :) Keep on the good work . Have a nice Sunday with wife and kid there :) Stay all safe and well my dear friend :)
Thanks a billion Ozzy! I wish you and your family whatever you desire and health above everything else! It is definitely going to be a winter setting, now everything else is still a possibility 😉 hahaha! Take care and model on brother!

Don't know a lot of their aircrafts! I like that you understand me! Lot's of sub assemblies indeed! Thanks again, take care and model on my friend!
Its still impressive George when you have a pile of sub assemblies in font of you its a bit like ship models 😉. Regards Gav.
Thanks Gav! I believe that this pile will lead to a great single piece! Take care and model on marra!
