I love taking my kids and watching them stand on the motion sensors for the monsters and getting the crap scared out of them, screaming and running to hide behind me, only to come back seconds later and do it again. You can totally do that DIY striped pumpkin! Spray it all white first, then dry. Use tape, evenly spaced to create your stripes, then paint in between lines to create the black stripes.. so simple
I don't have a total wishlist but I've decided for the Halloween season I'm going to decorate my vw bug named beetle juice with things surrounding that movie. So I'm gonna dress up fake skeletons as characters and such and they'll be passengers as I drive. For Halloween I'm gonna put lights and fake spiderwebs on it for when trick or treaters pass it. I'm so excited oh my god.

Oh, those skull succulents are awesome! Target always has the best halloween decor! Many years ago, i bought bleeding skull candles there. There was little ones & a full size skull. I have yet to burn it because i want to keep it, lol. You cant get them anymore so ill probably never burn them but i wish i bought more of them when they had them cause ive never seen them again. I do however have a very large outdoor display that we have done for over 10 years, we just add to it every year. I dont do like gore/scary stuff, but more whimsical/funny/realistic. So it is a cemetery, the first year we did it was about 2004 & at Target (of course) they had this huge creepy lit tree that i fell in love with. That started it. We made wooden headstones, found a bunch of old rickety fence panels, like picket fence, in someones garbage! Painted black, it is the perfect creepy fence, however over the years i have had to replace the main structure to keep it together but i let most of the pickets fall off so they lean, some are broken, etc. I hand carved the writing on the stones, i think there are about 20 or so now & i 'aged' them to look streaked like you find in a real cemetery with old stones. I am a graver, i got to cemeteries & document them for find a grave so i see alot of them lol. I love skeletons so ive got a creepy guy coming out of a grave, a guy buried alive, one full size skeleton with overalls on digging a grave (yes we strap a shovel in his hand & attach his foot to the shovel). I have 2 small skeletons i bought the year before last, they are like child size & i planned on making them twins in wednesday addams dresses but havent had a chance so they just sit at a crate & play with bones right now. My favorite one is the full size skeleton which i went to goodwill & bought an old dress & 1920's hat & she walks through the graveyard walking her skeleton dogs, with a lantern. Ive got candle holders all through the cemetery, i cant even count how many packages of tea lights i go through every halloween & they are lit every night (unless raining or too windy) all of october. Ive also got a creepy doll pushing another 'broken porcelain' doll in an old doll buggy. She was actually turned on when they shipped her & the mail lady nearly had a heart attack, she said she picked up the box & it said one of her phrases, incredibly fitting, about being dropped & broken. Then of course there are lights draped around too. I also decorate the porch & bought a new huge weeping willow i got from Target at the end of Halloween 2017 but not on clearance yet, i think it was $80 but it is so amazing! I wanted it in the cemetery but i put it up on the porch so its not exposed to rain. Everyone loved our display then 3 years ago we moved to another state & there isnt much traffic here for people to see & last year we had someone send us 'you need jesus pamphlets in the mail so that was a first, lol. There is also a wide array of skeleton animals so those are super fun to add to any display, almost all are from Target. I wanted the full size skeleton horse from Home Depot but dang is it pricey!! I wanted to get one & put a skeleton on it with no head to reference the headless horseman but skeleton form. My husband had a total knee replacement last august so i didnt get the new stuff completed/bought that i wanted but i did get the full size headless horseman sillhouette cut out, it just needs painted & sealed. I have a life size witch with cauldron sillhouette that still needs drawn out, cut & painted too, hoping that gets done this year. My original display featured a full size actual witch, complete with a smoking cauldron, broom, dress, wig, nasty witch mask, straggly hair & hat but i wanted to change it & just go with more skeletons. I have so many ideas but not enough cash to spare on it. Oh, i also do have a mini halloween village display inside. I almost forgot about that. My wishlist is skeletons carrying a coffin. A skeleton drunk sitting against a tree. Getting the sillhouettes finished for this year & a group of skeletons dressed in old west clothes. Sorry so long, im a chatter lol.
I love Halloween, but I don't decorate for it all year. I don't put Halloween decor out til the end of October. But I love fall and keep fall decor up until November. I'm going to get some fall decor tomorrow so I'm really excited about it. Bring on the cooler weather and the smell of fall in the air.

I got a few of those glass skulls last year from Micheal's and I love them! They only had one purple and sadly the one near me did not get them back this year. Cost Plus World Market is another place to look for Halloween decor they can get some cool retro inspire things. Also Home Goods is great as well especially for seasonal dishware. I had no idea Target had such cool things! but after watching this I am definitely gonna have to hit Target for some decor.

NO WAY I'VE BEEN EYEBALLING THE MOON WREATH FROM SPIRIT HALLOWEEN AS WELL, SO COOL! A couple years ago I got these candelabra/candle holders that are black spinal cords and I'm obsessed with them. The things I've been really wanting is the typewriter from Michael's and the Annabelle replica doll from Hot Topic. ALSO, if you have an A.C. Moore Craft Store near you, you should check it out it's very similar to Michael's they have some cool Halloween decor and crafts too!

I’ve already purchased the bat moon light up thing from Big Lots and I love it!! It’s a little cheap/fragile but for the price it’s not bad at all. I've already been purchasing things for my halloween decor. This is my first year in my own apartment so I'm going ham! I'm trying to go for more of a "goth fall" or "haunted mansion" vibe since I want to leave the decor out through thanksgiving as well. Lot's of black and burgundy and lots of skulls and bats and fortune teller stuff. I found this sweet wood skull that has the zodiac wheel carved onto it and I looooove it. I think this year though a lot of stores are going the cutesy traditional halloween route which is a little frustrating but that's okay because it gives me an excuse to buy more next year :D

I was just at Walgreens, and it was Nightmare Before Christmas heaven for me. I'm in love with the Jack and Sally Sequiens pillow. I want 2 of them and keep Jack on 1 pillow and Sally on the other and put them on my leather couch, and if I can find a Zero pillow on my chair. That would be great.

Those wall hands u could totally make on ur own girl! I love making stuff like that. Just have to go to Joan’s or michaels get the wood panel with whatever style u like. Plastic hands, and spray paint. And just nail the hand to the wood and bam! U got tun for a good price!
My michaels had a pillow that looks just like the pier 1 cat one just not beaded! So obviously not as fancy but the cat design is super similar and it’s probably half the price!

Check out Ross. I just went yesterday and they have skull table runners with girly touches, such as pink back grounds or skulls with flower crowns. They so have throw blankets and general decor pieces with skulls. Also cats. I went a little overboard, beware!
So regarding the spooky sprinkles and cupcake decorating stuff: I would use the sprinkles and edible decorations on my hot chocolates! Or lattes! Make a white hot chocolate and using food coloring to make it black.. or red... or purple (pick your poison) then top with whipped cream and all the sprinkle goodies!!

My kids love both the cutesy and the kind of (but not TOO) creepy decorations, so we do a good mix of the two... But I am always on the lookout for halloween decorations that I can keep up year round. Those tarot table cloths and those raven candle holders really caught my eye. I'm also on the lookout for more (real) animal skulls this year. I have a cow skull above my piano year round and I've got a taxidermist friend who I'm going to hit up to see if he's got any leftover skulls lying around. I'm hoping to have a mantel full of skulls eventually!

The bat mirror from At Home Store doesn't swivel. ☹ It's a good size to have as your vanity mirror but when I held it, it some weight to it. Hope this helps.
Just went to Pier 1 this weekend and honestly, I did not like the black cat pillow. Terrible scratchiness and the beads look like they might fall off easily. The raven candle holder was really neat though.

That mirror sadly doesn't swivel and it's a lot smaller than it appears online. Kinda wish it was bigger and a swivel would have been appreciated too. The moon from Big Lots is pretty cheap looking in person tbh. It's bright white instead of that pretty yellow they show on the website and it's all shiny and plastic. The Venus fly trap from Michaels is green but it's pretty dark so it's not bad looking and it's metal which is why it's 30$

I’ve already purchased the bat moon light up thing from Big Lots and I love it!! It’s a little cheap/fragile but for the price it’s not bad at all. Also highly recommend checking out HomeGoods, they have awesome stuff this year!

I've already been purchasing things for my halloween decor. This is my first year in my own apartment so I'm going ham! I'm trying to go for more of a "goth fall" or "haunted mansion" vibe since I want to leave the decor out through thanksgiving as well. Lot's of black and burgundy and lots of skulls and bats and fortune teller stuff. I found this sweet wood skull that has the zodiac wheel carved onto it and I looooove it. I think this year though a lot of stores are going the cutesy traditional halloween route which is a little frustrating but that's okay because it gives me an excuse to buy more next year :D
I just got some cute stuff from the target dollar spot today!! I also love decorating with the "creepy cloth" they sell around Halloween, and they always have it at the dollar store, if anyone else is interested!
I use my hand (tea light candle holder) from last year to hold my beauty sponge on my vanity! So cute and spooky!
I was just at Walgreens, and it was Nightmare Before Christmas heaven for me. I'm in love with the Jack and Sally Sequiens pillow. I want 2 of them and keep Jack on 1 pillow and Sally on the other and put them on my leather couch, and if I can find a Zero pillow on my chair. That would be great.

Those wall hands u could totally make on ur own girl! I love making stuff like that. Just have to go to Joan’s or michaels get the wood panel with whatever style u like. Plastic hands, and spray paint. And just nail the hand to the wood and bam! U got tun for a good price!

My michaels had a pillow that looks just like the pier 1 cat one just not beaded! So obviously not as fancy but the cat design is super similar and it’s probably half the price!

Check out Ross. I just went yesterday and they have skull table runners with girly touches, such as pink back grounds or skulls with flower crowns. They so have throw blankets and general decor pieces with skulls. Also cats. I went a little overboard, beware!

So regarding the spooky sprinkles and cupcake decorating stuff: I would use the sprinkles and edible decorations on my hot chocolates! Or lattes! Make a white hot chocolate and using food coloring to make it black.. or red... or purple (pick your poison) then top with whipped cream and all the sprinkle goodies!!

My kids love both the cutesy and the kind of (but not TOO) creepy decorations, so we do a good mix of the two... But I am always on the lookout for halloween decorations that I can keep up year round. Those tarot table cloths and those raven candle holders really caught my eye. I'm also on the lookout for more (real) animal skulls this year. I have a cow skull above my piano year round and I've got a taxidermist friend who I'm going to hit up to see if he's got any leftover skulls lying around. I'm hoping to have a mantel full of skulls eventually!

The bat mirror from At Home Store doesn't swivel. ☹ It's a good size to have as your vanity mirror but when I held it, it some weight to it. Hope this helps.

Just went to Pier 1 this weekend and honestly, I did not like the black cat pillow. Terrible scratchiness and the beads look like they might fall off easily. The raven candle holder was really neat though.

The moon from Big Lots is pretty cheap looking in person tbh. It's bright white instead of that pretty yellow they show on the website and it's all shiny and plastic. The Venus fly trap from Michaels is green but it's pretty dark so it's not bad looking and it's metal which is why it's 30$
