Me too!! thanks so much. The IOD transfer books this spring are some beautiful ones. You really do. get alot too. I've made so many things and still have transfers left :)
Theresa, try applying a coat of clear wax (don't wipe it back) before your coat of dark wax. When you wipe back the dark wax it will look less grungy. You might like it better.
Im obsessed with dark wax!! When using dark wax on light colored chalk paint you have got to use clear wax first or it'll be way too dark. If it's too dark reapply clear wax and use it as an erasure.
From the boots, wall pocket, air dry clay, the brown box floral, pallet wood and lavender, this video was magical. I loved all of the "Lovers of flowers" transfers you are using Teresa. You are amazing. Donna xoxo
Oh my goodness Teresa! Absolutely lovely that palette wood sign with the IOD decor is so precious! So beautiful! I also love what you made with the little wooden boxes, both of them and that little urn design. That is so cool. I wish I could find some kind of mold that was like that. That would be so fun to make! Thanks again for sharing all your lovely ideas. It's so nice spending a Sunday afternoon with you while I relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. God bless and have a great week😊
I love them all! I live the creativity of the little urn, great idea! One of my favorite verses is: Psalm 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: For thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
I thought the way you put transfers around some of your pieces was really nice Teresa. And I really loved the little urn piece that you put on wood with a lavender transfer. Fantastic!
Hey Teresa, love love love ur projects,u r so talented. I didn't like dark wax UNTIL I learned to use clear wax first!! Now I am addicted to it, you can choose how dark or light u want, try it b4 u give up. Keep up the beautiful inspirations.
Hey, Teresa, I love the last project with the lavender. I think the urn looked better in bright white. I agree that dark wax can make things look dirty. Using clear first really helps you control how much dark wax gets left behind. TFS
I like to use white wax from Dixie Bell on the shades of white painted items. It makes the details pop without making it look dirty when you don't want it to.
Teresa, our projectsare always amazing You have the gift of creativity. I really ejnjoy watching and sometimes re-watching your videos. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to you and Ben.💞💞💞
I know exactly what you mean about dark wax versus having a clean look. However I’ve learned to appreciate seeing the detail that a wax can bring to your molded piece. It’s taken me awhile to get use to. But I have found that just using a lighter wax can bring out the detail without making it look dirty. It’s more of a vintage or rustic look. So I guess I like both. It just depends on the particular project. I wanted to tell you that I look forward to seeing your videos every day. I enjoy them very much. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful and inspirational ideas ❤
Teresa, if you put a layer of clear mat or satin finishing spray first it doesn’t change the color of the paint but it settles in details. They are all so beautiful. “For God so loved the world” 😊❤
I really like the pallet wood with the transfer project! So pretty! I agree about the dark wax. Sometimes, it takes away from the beauty. And, your creations are usually feminine and lovely. 😊⚘️🪻🌹🪷🥀
I love how you use transfers, the large projects & the tiny ones. This is a Bible verse I love: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14
Oh Teresa, the boots are so beautiful! I absolutely love the cone, it is stunning! The IOD transfers are so wonderful, they turn anything to gorgeous! The tray was absolutely amazing! Love the urn and flowers, so sweet!💚💚💚
Hi TeresA, I agree. Dark/black wax can make pieces look dirty . I learned from a You Tuber to apply clear wax first. Then apply the dark wax. It gives you much more control to wipe back. By not using the clear wax the paint sucks in the dark wax. Especially with clay base or chalk paint. Hope you will give it a try. Love and enjoy your projects. 💕🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞
This time I agree with you.. the white urn was best. I often like dark wax! One of my favorite verses is Eph. 2:10. Thank you for your beautiful creations!
I love dark wax on my projects but I can see how it may not be your style. I did like the urn with the dark wax before you painted it but it’s gorgeous white too.
I know, I think I just don't know how to use it either ;) You always make everything look so good when you use it. I guess it's all about the technique so I will continue to practice using it! Thanks, Susie!
Hi, love all projects. Really love the flower transfers!! I have been watching Ben chop his wood and I have too say was really amazed at how it works in this decade. Love both of your work. It looks so simple for you to make something beautiful. I do have a question should you seal every item that has been painted with chalk paint??? Thank you for sharing your talents!!❤
Hi Theresa! I also took a while to admit to myself: I don't really like dark wax, I think people tend to confuse "aged" and "dirty", sometimes. If a painted piece "fall flat" to me, I'll rather dry brush a darker color lightly over the raised areas. Love all the projects.
It can make pieces look dirty. I learned from someone here on YT. Apply clear wax first then add the blk wax. Definitely gives you more control . At least I feel it does. Hope you try it. 😊🐞
Thanks again for another episode of inspiration! I really liked the half urn you attached to a piece of wood, keeping it white was a wise choice! ☺️ " Have a blessed day"
Hello Theresa , I just want u yo know that, I enjoy ur videos so much ...U are truly talented the things u mske ste beautiful u have s great style n detail...🌸🩷
My favorite bible verse: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
This is one of my favorites also and have read it many times because I struggle with the no worry part :) So I always try to remember this verse and let things go. So special and thanks so much for sharing it with me, T.
I love all your videos but this one in particular really spoke to me, I think I may actually order these iod and floral transfers. I've been on the fence because I don't want my style to look shabby chic. I like more of a vintage look. I love all the old olive jars, the vintage water pots, old teak vessels, the marble and travertine bowls and trays, and old wooden and paper mache bowls, and wood risers. The stuff like Olive Atelier sells. I do love the french look though and I love florals and some girliness added in. So I guess I'm really confused with my style. LOL I have question though. The old books you used in your first couple of vignettes like next to the boots, did you diy sand those or did you find them this way? I really want some more old books. I've purchased a few bundles around the holidays this past year but they really add up. Also, I'm so glad you asked the question about the dark wax, because I've seen people use it and I love it, but I don't want the dirty look. I see some great techniques in your comment sections on how to use it, so that really helped!
Thanks, Trina for leaving me a comment and so nice to meet you :) I think you will enjoy the transfers and they really have a beautiful look for just about any style. I love all the vintage items too and wished I had a huge house to display them! I agree, we got some really good tips on how to use the dark wax without the dirty look and can't wait to try them. Thanks so much for watching and great talking to you, T.
I love your style and all of your projects. If you don't mind, can you give me the name and where you got the transfer that you put on the rain boots please?
❤ love your projects Mrs Teresa! My verse is : Jeremiah 33:3 “ 'Call to me and I will answer you. I'll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own. Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and wondrous things you do not know.” -Malone 💕
Hi Teresa hiBen and my fur buddies I really love primitive and the grubbier the better but I also love your French country Matthew 28:17 When they saw him, they worshipped him I like the feeling of the verses of Jesus birth xo

I love that Joie des roses transfer! Great projects Theresa. ❤
Me too!! thanks so much. The IOD transfer books this spring are some beautiful ones. You really do. get alot too. I've made so many things and still have transfers left :)
Have you ever tried clear wax before the dark wax? That method gives a lot more control to wipe off more of the dark wax not making it look "dirty"
Thank you Teresa for sharing your Beautiful projects, I really enjoy watching you create these projects.
I love the look of white.
Love today’s projects. You do a good job on your videos.
Glad you like them and appreciate you leaving me a note!
I’m with you on the dark wax. I prefer the cleaner look.
Thanks, Carol! Me too :)
I loved all of these projects! Beautiful!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
Theresa, try applying a coat of clear wax (don't wipe it back) before your coat of dark wax. When you wipe back the dark wax it will look less grungy. You might like it better.
Hi Teresa. I DO NOT like dark wax except occasionally. I much prefer a clean look, or a little white wax.
Thanks, Karen! Me too and white wax is a favorite of mine also.
Im obsessed with dark wax!! When using dark wax on light colored chalk paint you have got to use clear wax first or it'll be way too dark. If it's too dark reapply clear wax and use it as an erasure.
I just received my "Lover of Flowers" IOD transfer. Can't wait to use it. Spring has sprung at your house and it is beautiful.
Thank you Jeanne! You will absolutely love that transfer book. It's one of the best!
The lavender at the end was so simple but really made a statement. I loved all the projects.
So pretty.
Thank you! 😊
I love the 3D effect of the flower transfer and urn
Everything was outstanding as always!
I just love all the projects that you do. The large pallet with the roses was absolutely gorgeous🥰

The projects are all so beautiful. Matthew 28.20 And behold I am with you always❤
All are beautiful 😊
These are absolutely Gorgeous 💜
These are wonderful! ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
I love rusty crusty, i love soft pink and white shabby chic. Not all projects should have dark wax. It depends on what you like.
Love IOD transfers! Everything is beautiful as always! 🙂♥️🌹🦋🌸

This time I agree with you.. the white urn was best. I often like dark wax! One of my favorite verses is Eph. 2:10. Thank you for your beautiful creations!

Everything is just lovely!❤
Love dark wax but use clear wax with it if you don't wanna change your paint color it acts like an eraser and you'll love it!!
Thanks for the tip! I need to get some clear wax for sure.
I have a gray wax and it's a great option to the super dark wax. It really depends on what I'm doing.
I love dark wax on my projects but I can see how it may not be your style. I did like the urn with the dark wax before you painted it but it’s gorgeous white too.

Thank you so much! You are so sweet ❤️❤️
Try a little clear wax before your dark wax. It helps make it much less harsh.
My fave verse is Romans 8:28
I’m using your verse in this Sunday video! Thanks for the clear wax tip. I think that’s where I go wrong.
Beautiful projects! Mark 10:12 With men it is impossible but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Lovely verse, Nancy! Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️

I love these. My granddaughter just got married and had a French country wedding. These projects would have been perfect. JESUS WEPT.
I'm not fond of the dark wax either.
So it's not just me! I see others use it and it looks good but I can never achieve that look :) Thanks!
I hate the “rust and crust” look. It looks like pure filth to me!😂. I would much rather a clean, bright look.❤
