Beautiful projects, Susie! I love the file box & the cannisters! Just lovely! Thanks so much for sharing all your tips! Nice to collaborate with you! 💖💖💖
What a fabulous job you did on everything Susie! But those canisters...OMGoodness!!! LOVED 💙LOVED 💙LOVED💙! Right up my design alley😉 lol!!! Thanks so much for sharing and for co-hosting this collab! It was wonderful working with you!!🤗
my fav as well but I had a hard time deciding between the tray and the metal box.. Great job on them all.. Thanks for sharing and greetings from Nova Scotia, Canada.. My small shop is called Flora's Artful Blessings but I don't have a RUclips as yet
Wetting your paper expands the paper so that it won't react to the decopauge medium and wrinkle. If people are having issues, they could either be over saturating or not spritzing enough water. You really need a fine mist spray bottle like they use for hair, not a cheap spray bottle that shoots out way too much water at once, then spritz it to where it has all come into contact with the water, but just lightly (not soaked.) You can also lay the paper face down on plastic like the wrapper from a transfer, spritz the entire back, then put down your medium, then lay your paper down while still on the plastic and use it to help rub out the wrinkles. Hope all that made sense ❤ ALL OF THESE are beautiful and you did a wonderful job!
That metal box (last project) is my favorite. I am not familiar with paint inlay; that box is beautiful... I enjoyed watching you work on each item, but I like the box the best...
Looking forward to seeing your last things thrifted! Such great projects and tips on the air dry clay. I get cracking sometimes. So happy to share in this collab with you!
Lovely projects, Susie! I have been intrigued by the paint inlays, but was afraid to try them. Now I may just have to jump in! Thanks for joining the collab with us!
Loved the tray so much!and your box was super sweet I did my first inlay this morning , same floral design as you have. I totally messed up , as much as I watched the directions.. they aren't cheap and my very favorite I messed up! Wish you were here🤣🤣
I've messed up many a paint inlay. I recommend practicing with some of the smaller pieces. Melange paint inlay has tons to play with. It gets so much easier with practice.
Loved all the thrifted items. It’s given me inspiration on what to do with my similar thrift finds. Do you find that there are any chipping issues on the non-pourous surfaces? What are you using to seal the canisters?
I’ve heard the a lot of people have a lot of trouble using the paint inlays again when they use Fusion paint. Have you? Does it seal over the transfer since you lay them in the wet paint? My favorite would probably be the jars just simply because I like the white and blue decor. All of these are gorgeous though!
@@cindyhester9823 Not transfers but you can with the paint inlays. The image will get more distressed and lighter each time. I think they can be used up to 3 times. Also note that any paint left from the first project on the inlay sheet will also transfer to your new project. I'm going to be showing using one several times soon in a video.

Great viso
These are pretty but I was looking for vintage silver tray makeovers with clay
Good video
Love the file cabinet. I have 3 of them and did one. I love your idea of this one. Any rust tips you use??
You can spray it with a clear primer before painting. That usually works for me unless it's really bad rusty.

Loved all the thrifted items. It’s given me inspiration on what to do with my similar thrift finds. Do you find that there are any chipping issues on the non-pourous surfaces? What are you using to seal the canisters?
For those I used a gloss top coat from Fusion.
They have held up great. I still have them.

I haven't had any problems. I always stay with them and remove them as soon as they are dry to prevent it sealing the paper in.
@@susieonthefarm So you’re able to keep using the transfer and the paint continues to come off multiple times?…

So is an acrylic or chalk paint recommended for the inlay versus the fusion paint??

So is an acrylic or chalk paint recommended for the inlay versus the fusion paint??
Yes they are recommended. I have had lots of success using Fusion but it's hard to reuse them.
