Giants may have rushed this a bit, but on the other hand they can test and test a map/ DLC Internantly and not find bugs or things that were missed until its released to everyone. With that said the Map looks awesome. I am not huge on the production side of the game so i personally can take or leave them. Still the new crops are great. Thanks Mrsealyp for the tour. Congratulations on your partnership. Hope many more follow well deserved.
In response to your comments about the map feeling sterile. Let’s be honest, it’s a Giants map. These have never been “wow” factors and they never keep my attention for long. The actual map will die off as all the others did and our real benefit to the DLC will be modders making use of new features. Kinda funny how that works out basically the same every time.
That being said, I don’t really see any new scripts on this map. The crops are basically the same process as root or potatoes. But I suppose adding them does increase the diversity of crops. And they’ve acquired new brands for this DLC like Dewulf.
I’m happy that giants is keeping FS 22 alive for an extended period and I’ve bought both season passes to show my support. But I’ve barely used any of the DLC. My own fault? Sure. But the mods from the likes of Custom, Casserias, Karl, or script mods from Wopster are the things that keep me hooked on this game.
Sorry just not impressed. I feel Silver Run had awesome new equipment that did not need to be modded right out of the gate to make them usable. A rollercoaster build that gave you a goal and a lifting cheat that was greatly appreciated being on PS5, when the coaster was completed.
Not to mention a boat build! Many new production chains that were more than just sell points. Which hopefully will be changed in an update. A Piano build from planks? A farmhouse from Giants that you can't even go in and manipulate? Chicken coops on starting farms that aren't even worth keeping from the get go? It's a good looking map, but to be honest if it was just a mod map in the hub with the new carrots and such, I'd pass. I feel Bally Spring with all the new young animals had a bigger wow factor for me. Just my 0.02

I find it weird that they haven't been able to add some of the platinum expansion DLC trees to other maps by now
I doubt most map makers would want to make their maps require a dlc that only a fraction of the playerbase owns.
They will probably be more common on the next game as some people don’t have the dlc it would limit how many people could play certain maps

Might just be me but after the last expansion pack that came out with forest run and all, this one just seems like it missed the mark a bit.
I downloaded the dlc this morning on ps5 and had no issues at all.

Good tour as usual. I think root crops needed to be expanded like forestry did in the platinum would be good to have onions as well in the next version of the game looking forward to trying the new crops, equipment and productions out and to see what the modders come out with to expand these crop types
I am on Xbox one and didn’t have problems downloading new map. I live in Ontario I don’t think it matter were I live. I love how you play and keep us updated on what going on in your life. It help people going though tough times and we aren’t alone in our struggles. Hope you and Mrs.. Sealyp can do more videos soon. I know you both busy people.

I like this map a lot, I've always been a fan of the Polish and similar area maps in all the FS games so I was looking forward to this one. As maps by Giants go it's one of my favourites, it is definitely lacking in some areas compared to the Polish mod maps but that's because it's a Giants map and they have to try and make it so it has something for most players. Hence why it feels a little sterile next to maps like Kolonia, Wosnice and so on.
I do like that it's not too production factory heavy, sure there are a few new ones for the new crops but it's not as excessive as Silverrun felt (though they did make sense and fit the map).
One of the big letdowns for me is the large sections of unbuyable land, particularly on the left side of the map with the thin fields that have houses and almost mini farm areas that should be attached but you can't buy or use them. There's even a windmill area up near the north farm that looks like it could / should be a small grain mill production, but it isn't and you can't buy the land or remove it to place a modded one.
Small things in the grand scheme of it, overall though I do like the map and what I've seen if the DLC as a whole so far!

I also had that can't move anything. After starting the map without any mods activated it worked as usually.
The dlc is available on series x now but if you try to load the new map in with mods on it will go in black after the character has been picked, it’s not crashing you still can hear the game and you can go in to both menus but you don’t have a picture, when you go to the map menu there’s absolute nothing on it. If you turn off all mods it loads it just fine.
Morning Mr S.P. im on ps5 and mine was on the main menu before i opened the game. Anyway works just fine for me, i love it.
I like that the dairy is a sell point, elm creek is frustrating when running a large dairy farm. The milk fills up faster than it makes product and I sell all excess milk to the farmers market.
Another wierd thing is we have a new planter and harvester but you don't get the ridger to go with them in the starting equipment. With the piano building, you don't need to buy it. You can just take planks there and then it functions as a sell point.
Showing as available on PS5 but when you click to buy it takes me to a DLC page but it’s not there. I suspect it’s available for 2 year season passes only atm.

Nice looking map, already logged a few hours, scratching that Sosnovka nostalgic itch. No sell points for platinum expansion products which is a shame but easy enough to add in.
To be honest, it is as exciting as having hot cross buns for sale on Boxing day. Very bland indeed. Thank you for a good honest review.

Wow what a jump through hoops. Its was a pain in the rear to get that to show up.
I feel that Giants rushed this DLC and the two tractors as a different DLC. May I say to purchase two extra tractors. Thank you for your awesome video.
Giants has traditionally done this. With Platinum there was a Volvo loader that was extra. Giants offers a few vehicles through the year separate from the season pass. These usually just cost a couple bucks. It is what it is, your choice to purchase them.
Nov. 14, 2023 The looks of this map overall is rather depressing. The town areas look nice but the general "rural" areas look rather sad, which is disappointing. I don't like the fact that the harvesters do not have a holding tank, which makes it miserable to harvest the new crops. Not everybody uses AI workers nor do they play multi-player so this map is not player friendly at all. Also, Giants did not even include a bunker, a silo or any type of root storage for the new crops, either on the map or in the building mode. The only silos that work are BULK silos from Oma Tana and MissyB. Overall, for me personally, this map is a huge let-down. Please say hello to Mrs. Sealyp and give FarmDog a treat. I’m on Xbox and all fine here. If it helps I got it via in game took about 15 minutes to download and all I did was exit the game start a new one then back to FS and all works fine 👍
dont' know if it's a bug or not. If you own the preserved food facory on the map you get paid for delivering your beets to it as well as getting the goods to sell. Could be just the boxed beets, haven't tested the loose ones yet.
Biggest shock to me is why Giants still dont give you early axcess on PS. Its realy time to give a console player that now.
I imagine the productions issue is a mistake on giants part and I think there might be an update later to sort it out

For being "slammed" that little VW is very tippy. It is reminiscent of the log trailers on Silver Run, someone at Giants has a heavy hand with center of gravity...
It’s didn’t drop till about 10am I remember reading it somewhere about around 10 am
I really believe that the dairy and spinnery as sell points only is a mistake that might be fixed in an update. Maybe not...But if not then I just wish Giants had not used the placable buildings here and just created a different building facade. I hate duplicate buildings on a map, if I have to place my own dairy I want it to look different,

Oooh I had another game update after I downloaded the expansion and I had a load of updates to about half my mods and the game update got rid of all my current game save and reverted back to game save that I had not played on from a year ago. And I had no maps downloaded
I’ve got it on Xbox but the new map when I load in the game goes black screen but when I press start it brings the map up

On my Xbox it was available for download as soon as I logged in this morning.
I'm on xbox x series and starting the map up. And seen that I only have one new crop type. Red beets. I don't have carrots or the parsnips
I am very surprised that auger wagons were not added or modified for the new crops. They would be so helpful in driving along side.
I know, that was an unfortunate oversight, especially for working these crops on other maps. Should be easy for the modders to add though.
Since those two patches we got within the last week all my savegames are broken on XBox. I know it´s the mods and I fixed it. But even within the same map, I could restore one savegame and still a different one on the same map wouldn´t load. I can start some maps without mods, but not others. Is any one else expiriencing similar problems?
I want to go to big Flats, Texas and see how much potato chips I can actually make. Is it possible to fill up a couple different warehouses😂😂😂😂

for me Silverrun was a revolution to the game. this is not. but it seems like a nice map to play on and i will surely try it at some point

can not purchase the grain mill. so no flour can be made for the bakery
And just to let everyone know that, if you want to store the new vegetables you can use the train silo or we already have at least 2 mods that will store them. One is from oma tanna, the other is from Missy B. They will hold all bulk materials. Great job Mr S.P.
I bet the multifruit version of the Shultz Modding underground silo will hold them too, though I haven't tested that yet.

I love the new crops and the fact they work on all maps. The equipment looks very good. But: the map is boring compared to some mod maps, there’s no decent farmyards and why don’t the sprayers have spot spraying? Now they are useless. And that a shame seeing they had time again to add non farming related stuff like soccer and a piano factory. Nice map tour as usual.
The see and spray is a John Deere patent. Giants can't add that to any other brand sprayer. Modders can though. Unfortunately these sprayers will be locked to modders.
I can't even use the new planters, as soon as I open them in the store my game freezes.
I feel this map is boring as well, feels so lifeless, rivers and the few waters there was just shallow ponds. I already had a lot of bugs happen to me in the 7-8 hours i played yesterday. will probably go back to Rennebu or some of the other maps.
Just a shame none of the harvesters have hoppers to hold the crop...I'm sure modded ones Will come in time I'll probably hold off buying until then

@@KnapoWill There is a single row with a hopper. Honestly, I get why they did it like this. It is more realistic and they wanted to highlight the new row process. I am surprised they even included the 4 row self-propelled harvester. You are right though, mods will come out fast. You will be using the Colossus before you know it...
Gorgeous Map. Does anyone have any Tutorials on how to edit traffic Direction? I would love to have them driving on the left like the UK but i don't know how to do it

@@banzaiman1 You would do it through Giants Editor if the map is not locked. Bauer Brown has a pretty good tutorial on traffic loops.
What's up with incomplete production chains. They put in new potato production that requires oil but no oil production. They have a bakery but no flour mill, dairy or sugar mill to produce the products needed. They did same thing in silverrun forest need cloth for sails but not spinnery. Yes I know you can add in your own but should not be need to complete the production chains they built in the map.
Yes! This has always bothered me too. Something else, when selecting farm manager and start from scratch, why must the starting farm disappear? I get there are triggers associated with the placables but you could just assign ownership to npr like many mod maps do. I hate playing on a map with a blank hole where a farm should be.

Very odd some of the productions are sell points only, this has to be addressed in a patch in my opinion. That grain mill for example looks epic however super disappointing it's only a sell point.
Well that's a shame, I'm getting black screen on New Farmer mode, no new crops on Court Farms and my game crashes when I try to buy the new seeder for carrots on other Giants maps 😑

I have mixed feelings about this map. It seems like several rural areas from completely different Polish regions smashed together. A village with such rustical houses should be more "compact", with narrower and curvier roads, smaller selling points. The piano production facility looks kind of meh and the forest areas should be much more dense. However, the general feel and look of the map seems ok with some great small details here and there, like the soccer field - just think about the multiplayer potential :)

I love the map, it is a beautiful map. I think MrSealyP is correct in pointing out the farms. It seems lazy. There are different farm houses, kudos to Giants for that. But the same barn? When you have other choices in decorations that have working doors? And I'm sorry, but all three are small, hand-to-mouth farms that couldn't afford that silo system. Those silos are just wrong for the area. I am sure there are other things on the map that could be done better, but now that it was mentioned in this video I have to sit back and say yeah, he is right. That is glaringly obvious.

I think Silverrun from the Platinum Expansion is a much better map. Im really not impressed with this one and am glad I decided to skip getting this DLC.

A lot of things have gone downhill since 17 mainly the crop textures. With the years that has passed these should be far better and not worse. How much did they make in profit on 22 we will never Know. As far as the map goes I've seen better from other polish mod maps and not so plain looking as this.
When i start the map , is complete black… when i dont use any mods then working fine , so is confict with one of the other mods or expansions… anyone have same issues?

Thanks for the video. I was looking forward to a new map but I'm very disappointed. We have a bakery but nowhere to make flour or butter. New potato crisps, but nowhere to make oil. The silo's don't store the new products. And no biomass plant. In order to make this game viable i have to buy up plots and install the required productions or use mods that will allow me to purchase flours/butter etc. It seems a half-arsed attempt by Giants to add a new map without any planning and just thrown together. This map needs a major patch. I normally enjoy new Giant maps but this is useless IMHO.
Animal dealer only has chickens for sale is this just my one or is an update coming..
If you only own a chicken pen then you would only be able to buy chickens.

Typically xbox are a day late because microsoft want to "vet" the content before allowing it to go live.
Giants know this, its been this way since the very beginning, aand Giants could let microsoft have the release a day earlier im sure to ensure everyone gets it the same day. Yet Giants dont.

They should put out a mod map pack of the top mod maps so they dont take up mod space on console.

I think because using to many mods … my memory almost full.. then i do with around 40-45 mods en always working … then every time i take the next 40-50 mods en still working ,

From my perspective this is better than the platinum (though silverrun is a nicer map imo) because it adds new crops. Others have noted it seems rushed and I agree, probably going to give it a couple weeks for the patch then get started on it.
Silver Run had a few teething problems too if you remember...I think all maps do. I don't know if this was rushed as much as there are some things that got overlooked. When you consider the scope of the DLC I can understand why...It'll be fixed soon enough.
@@seanobrien7169 yeah, I let Silverrun set for a while too (mainly because I was uninterested in logging), by the time I played on it it was all good, they always fix any of the little bugs, they're pretty good about that.
I have premium expansion and PS5 setup. I downloaded this DLC and it's froze from the very start. Also there are no new crops.
I hope this DLC doesn't suck as bad as last 2 for this year.

@@commanderman_64 Every game that has mods does this with every update. It is your choice, either play with no mods for a few days or wait for the modders to update their mods and catch up. If you are on PC you can check the log and see where the hangup is and just retire that mod for a bit. Not sure what console guys have to do. Just life, man...

@@seanobrien7169 I found 1 DLC mod that was causing the freezing problem. Horsch Aggrovation. I had suspicions w this DLC because it's been nothing but a pain since I downloaded it.
The game worked fine after I unclicked that 1 mod.
On ps5 no problems
27:46 mr sealyp we got have a Christmas fs22 football game please that be so cool falls in nicely with the Remembrance Day, my grandad when he was alive told me a story on Christmas Day him and the what he called fellow man (he just wanted to sever his country ) … anyway I digress they played football and sang songs , played cards and swapped ratios . Then this what still to this day I don’t get shook hands and promised if they came face to face they make it quick and painless … my grandad passed in 2014 . Anyway so I though if tie in well if on Christmas time we’ll could all (who can afford it of course ) to the help Ukrainian people and have a couple games of football
I like the game but why is it that giants think only Europe and only Poland do farming there are more polish maps than any other region, I guess Europe thinks only Poland can farm
??? Giants now have 2 US (-ish...silver run could be Canadian) 1 French, 1 Alpine and 2 eastern European if you count the aggrovation map which really is just a specialty. I think that is pretty balanced. If anything the South American, Asian and Australian peeps should be complaining...I'd love to see an Asian map...

I'm having an issue where when you're in the character creation screen, you hit confirm, and the screen goes black, but when you hit pause, you can see the map thru the UI screen.

This dlc is a joke, im so disappointed. Had black screen issues which i fixed cuz of a modhub mod conflict. Everything you say about the new map is very valid but yet they add a working scoreboard? 😂 there are no base game options for storing the new crops, i think maybe two mods that do.
The new crops dont work on mod maps even tho another youtuber said they do before release.
I love this game have 1300 hrs on it, but giants needs to do better.
If the mod map you are trying it on has a custom crop calendar it wont work.
@seanobrien7169 don't think that's the problem, court farm has custom calender. It doesn't have carrots or parsnips but it has red beets
@@mikeg6881 The way it works is a mod map reaches into the Giants base system for most of its information. Things like how to draw a tree, how to create a placeable, weather patterns, textures...really everything about the game. These things are not in the mod map file, the mod map links to base game files for this stuff. This changes when the map modder does something custom...like adding in a new crop or crops. Then, instead of linking to the base game files that now contain these new crops, Oxygen David created his own files included with his map. This is why the map just doesnt see the base game crop stiuff.
@seanobrien7169 o ok ,thanks for the explanation. Was just going through a few maps and like u said any map I checked with a custom calendar the new crops didn't show. Just was confused cuz of court farms. So I'm guessing oxygendavid had files for red beets when he made the map knowing the expansion was coming

The new Premium Expansion is truly disappointing , the map is ordinary would not get into the top 20 maps available. The farm yard is tiny, the animal pens a joke ( 20 chickens!). A lot of other map mods have additional crops, the equipment is not better than what is available ( I dont buy for brand naming). I will not buy Preorder again, not until I have watched your review. I give it 4 out of 10 only because it has a few good productions
