Cool to come back to re-watch Bens first against the Browns. Especially knowing that this would end up being a career 26-3-1 for the Steelers with him at the helm. was also cool to see in the breaks the casters mention that NE looking for their 19 win in that game being played, to know that the Steelers will in a couple of weeks put an end to that streak. :)
I remember the introduction to 'NFL On CBS' from 0:00-0:11 as if it were yesterday... I remember the introductory video package like what you see around 0:11-0:52, as well. I wish we still had those, today--just so you can see all of the older players that are featured & reminisce on them.
crawford371- That is very true... I remember watching both this game & Ben Roethlisberger's last game against the Cleveland Browns in the 2021-2022 NFL season, respectively as of it were literally yesterday. What a way to go out, huh?...
First steelers game I ever went to. I was 5 years old, got to see Ben's first rushing TD. A couple weeks ago, I got to see his last rushing TD against the Titans.
derekrichards1076- You were at this game?... Nice!... I was in the first semester of my Freshman year of high school when this game took place & I remember watching it with my dad on our TV in the living room as if it were literally yesterday. I went back & saw when you said how old you were, too.; I was about 15½ when this game took place--3 months shy of my 16th birthday, to be exact. I live in Illinois & I was happy to see that our Chicagoland CBS affiliate aired this game because this encounter was a true classic, in my opinion as it pertains to all of the games I've seen in my life on TV involving the Cleveland Browns/Pittsburgh Steelers rivalry & I loved every last second of it. On the other hand, I'm a Chicago Bears fan & week 5 of the 2004-2005 NFL season was a bye week, so, I didn't need to worry about having to see them lose another game & in fairness, I would've much rather watched 2 other out-of-state NFL teams that I'm familiar with slug it out than my Chicago Bears lose to a team I don't like, or, a team I'm not familiar with, anyways...
I remember watching this game with my dad as if it were literally yesterday & I can still recall saying "Run, Ben!..." around 17:47-17:53. I was damn-near screaming at my TV because I honestly thought that the Cleveland Browns' defensive line was gonna get to Ben Roethlisberger & tackle/sack him, but, they didn't make it, that far--thank goodness...
I remember watching this game with my dad as if it were literally yesterday & I can still recall saying "Run, Ben, run!..." around 1:52:17-1:52:40. I was damn-near screaming at my TV because I honestly thought that the Cleveland Browns' defensive line was gonna get to Ben Roethlisberger & tackle/sack him & thank goodness that didn't happen...
To be honest, I think that rivalry ended when the Browns went to Baltimore, and then the rivalry became Steelers/Ravens. Cleaveland never got it back. Now that both teams are fairly different now, it may make a comeback. Even as a Steeler fan, I would like to see that again.
I'm still sickened over what we see around 37:41-38:10 when it comes to Jerome "The Bus" Bettis & Duce Staley. I remember watching this game with my dad as if it were literally yesterday & thinking to myself "If Jerome Bettis is healthy & suited up for today's game, why isn't he out there, yet?...".; On the other hand, I thought to myself "Where in the flyin' heck is Jerome Bettis at when Ben Roethlisberger needs him?!..." in the beginning of the game because I literally didn't see him taking the field, at all. You don't keep a player like Jerome "The Bus" Bettis, for example on the side-lines & relegate him to a second-stringer/back-up, in my opinion.

Browns have struggled against other teams not just Pittsburgh. Boy that's an understatement

The last Browns game in Pittsburgh had them winning 33-13 fairly handily. It would be 16 years before they won there again.
I remember this game like it was yesterday man I am getting old 😞
2004 in general doesn't feel like 16 years ago
Ben's first start vs the browns was a win and his last start vs the browns ended with a win

Now the Steelers lead the all time series at 76-59-1. Shows how one sided the last quarter century has been.
I remember watching this game as if it were literally yesterday & saying "Throw it, Ben!..." to my TV around 49:58-50:10.

Look at how young Ben Roethlisberger is at 2:43-2:55.
He truly is in great game shape, isn't he???...
When it was still a legit rivalry #DawgPound

Go steelers football and I am big fan of the Pittsburgh steelers football team
24:45 Ref took a nut shot and the fans behind him are laughing
Garcia was well beyond the line of scrimmage
Jeff Garcia is wasted on the Browns. After he left Cleveland he led 2 different teams to the playoffs.
Ben greatest at extended the play 🙌
0:11 Those CBS intros were my childhood. Why get rid of those sorts of things? They only take up 30 seconds of a 3+ hour broadcast
Later his year Duce Staley got hurt and was never seen or heard from again.
His best years were with Philly Steelers should have paid Zereoue
@@chrisspearline2942 Zereoue was out of the league faster than duce lol

Duce Staley travelled across state to play for the Steelers a little bit.
Cleveland hasn't been able to defeat Pittsburgh since about 1964.
Huh? They beat em last season Nigga
@@MultiKushie browns can't beat Steelers in Pittsburgh though.
killalltogepis991 they can and they will foo

Yeah Gus Ebenezer is a great football name wtf
Good game Pittsburgh
What did Gus Johnson mean at 1:58:45-1:58:55, exactly by "Now, you start doin' the math."?...
34-23=11.
1:03:35 the reason Steve Tasker is doing the game not Brent Jones
Go Browns
Huggie Bear lol
Go steelers football
Cleveland sucks and will always suck lol
