I use an old camping metal coffee pot to melt beeswax and combine oils over a double boiler. I use canola oils instead of coconut because I am allergic. Once I take it off stove, I let cool for a minute and then add vit E oil and essential oils. Use 10 drops of essential oil(s) per Oz of mixture.

Hi Rigel I want to do a healing salve with 10 different varieties of essential oils based on my research of their properties. How would I calculate how many drops of each to put , would u recommend .5% always (2 drops each) Also if I do 120 ml 4oz tins do I put 40 drops essential oil in total ? Thanks!
You can adjust and use more oils if you desire. I like around 20-25 drops of essential oils per 2 oz tin. A couple drops of each should work fine. Yes, if you’re doing a 4oz tin then use twice as many drops as the 2oz tin. Hope it works well for you!

Hi! You could try this salve. You could swap out some of the oils and try ones that are excellent for skin including geranium, frankincense, lavender, and tea tree.

What essential oils would you do for a teenager or young adult for acne, blemishes, and soothe?
Hi! I would use the HD clear roller blend. It was designed for this and works well! Roll on the face morning and evening after cleansing. There is also an HD clear foaming face wash you can use with the oil.

Hi! The recipe would be the same. I’m using 2oz tins in this recipe and when I asked google to convert 60grams to ounces it’s about 2 ounces. 👍

I see that you didn’t mix in the essential oils with the base. Does it blend in still?
Yes, it blends when I pour in the melted base. You can stir with a toothpick or similar if you prefer.
Hi Rigel, wouldn't the therapautic qualities of essential oil get lost when the temperature rises?
Hi! Excellent question! The therapeutic qualities of the oils will start to diminish when heat rises to 140 to 160 deg F (citrus are on the lower end and tree oils higher end). The base mixture is heated using a double boiler method and the essential oils added after heating to maintain the most therapeutic properties. Don’t heat the oils while melting the base. Hope this helps!

Yes, that will work! Enjoy!
How much oils would I need for a .5 oz tin? I ran out of my 2 oz and 1 oz tins.
A couple drops of each oils should work!
How many drops Vitamin E oil for each tin or complete recipe?
Around 3 drops for each tin should work!
Do you do any oils for hair?
Yes, I add a drop of rosemary to each shampooing for hair growth and the doterra hair serum.
If you don't have copaiba what can you substitute?
Hi! There isn’t really a good substitute for copiaba but you can omit it if necessary. It’s such a unique oil with broad range of benefits that can’t be achieved with another’s.
