Fez - Tetris Puzzle - Anti Cube (4 Mini Blocks - 3 Switches)

- In this secret room there is a hidden Anti-cube which can only be unlocked once the Tetris shapes on the 3 sides are all satisified. To do this, stack the blocks onto the glowing switches. The final block you will need to carefully place onto of another block.
Once complete, the Anti-Cube appears in the centre.
FEZ is a game developed by POLYTRON and is available as part of the August 2014 Instant Game Collection for PS+ members :) This video was taken on the PS4 but Fez is available on PS Vita and PS3 as well.

There are 4 patterns on the cubes. You need all 4 to be the same pattern when you stack the blocks. If you grab a block, and spin the room, the block you are holding wont spin.
I finally figured this out, no real thanks to this video. The trick is that all four angles must be satisfied at the same time, that is two 't' shaped setups and two 'l' shapes. For each of the 4 angles, the four blocks do not have to be perfectly aligned in 3d, that is, they just have to look right from the 2 dimensional 'front' view.
So for example the T shapes from the front must look like this:

where the 1's are single stacked blocks and 2 is a stack 2 high. When viewed from the left side looking right, this would be:

From the fourth angle, top of screen down, it's the T shape again of course.
Thank you so much for this. I thought the entire time that I would have to make the shapes as they would look from overhead, not congruent to the screen like the actual solution. The game isn't clear enough on the details sometimes.

it seems to be very temperamental... I find using the D-Pad is better than the stick
I finally got it last night. I have NO idea what I did to get it. But thanks for making the video, I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten it without this.

+srtapolaa weird.... you have checked that it matches the tetris
shape on all sides?
Tip: you need to match the pattern on the side of the blocks as well, it's a very subtle detail but its there.

@@EvangelineBelle So there are 3 sides and only 1 top block to match up to how that block should be facing in each side.
There's a visual hint on where that block would be stacked just right there in the middle of the screen.
The top block must match with the hits for each different placement.
1- Top middle.
2- Top Right
3- Top Left.
After placing the middle bottom block, you will have to figure out how you can stack the top block to match all three placements in one go.
if it helps, draw them out isometrically on a sheet of paper and see where that block should go.
I don't comprehend what I'm doing wrong with this puzzle..
I got the cube by doing absolutely nothing, then I looked it up to check if it's a bug, I realized I could use ctrl to pick up blocks (which I tried before) and then I did the puzzle properly and now I got 2 cubes.
The geometry in this puzzle didn't make sense to me... The 4 figures could never all be completed, because the 4th box had to be in the middle on 2 of the figures while on the right or left on the 2 other figures. I solved it in the end by making sure all blocks faced the same way, but how that solved the geometry issue, I do not know
It doesn't want to match all sides.... I'm slowly having enough...
Five seconds later: fuck, how did I do that and why weren't it working before.
How are you supposed to do this? The 2 high one is always in the wrong spot on one of the sides and I can't find any way to pick up the top block.

How do you put them down "lightly"? Can't seem to make it on PC, just tosses it away onto the middle cube...

Was there a fail safe for this puzzle? I got the anti cube without finishing the puzzle
There are 2 anti cubes I don’t know how to get each one specificity but I got 2 then the level turned gold on my map

Tor Wikström I also got two! I had three blocks on the light up pads and was holding the fourth on a corner, and as I was changing angles all of a sudden an Anti Cube appeared... The fourth block stayed suspended on some invisible platform. What a mysterious game...

Sliding the blocks and throwing them puts the block in a different spot. Great puzzle but horrible explanation in the game. Does not explain the difference and that movement also should not matter if you are trying to put the blocks in a specific spot based on the orientation of the puzzle in your head. I figured out the puzzle but since all i did was tossed the blocks where i wanted them to be based on the 3x3 orientation, it never worked...even though i knew where the blocks should go.
great game, cool puzzle, horrible design.
