Drone Batteries (LiPos) don't like the cold. You can think they are fully charged but the cold inhibits them from supplying enough power needed to keep the drone up. If you warm then up with the car heater, you should be able to get the drone up and the normal use will keep the temps from dropping in flight. When you are following the Pivot on the road with your flashers on, you are the F.R.E.D. (Flashing Rear End Device) Like on the end of a train without a caboose. Great video! I never knew they even moved those things around.
I've watched more than a few of the pivot related videos you have and I had wondered how they were moved. While this is involved, it's much less work than completely disassembling them and setting them up elsewhere. I always learn something with your videos. 👍
You were referring to a vehicle to go with a wide load vehicle. They are called escort vehicles. Can be in front of load. Or behind. Especially with extremely large loads. Think the blades of a wind generator. For a windmill farm.
Agco owns Fendt, Valtra, Massey & Challenger they are all good machines. You can also run pretty much any brand of equipment with them because they run the universal system unlike Deere.
Hi Laura, Great video. We don’t use irrigation pivots here in central Md but there are a lot of them on the eastern shore of Md. I often wondered how they moved them. I learned something new today. I work at a Deere dealer and a customer just bought his new Fendt 936 in to pickup a new Deere planter. I’m like you I climbed in it and it is loaded with buttons. I have no idea what they all do Lol . Have a great week 🙂
Few people, especially those not involved w farming, realize how high tech and sophisticated farm machinery has become. Laura, your lovely smile & perky personality help make your videos so enjoyable. Take good care of yourself--and stay warm too.
Fendt are very versatile and fuel efficient tractors with highly ergonomic and easily customizable controls. Used by quite a few contractors here in Ireland. They are complex and the Vario transmission needs a careful operator to prevent early failure. Even with that, I have heard a few horror stories of 5-figure repair bills. They are designed for Europe combining field work with high speed road duties. Some limitations of high horsepower Fendt models in heavy draft prairie work are well documented by Mike Mitchell of Saskatchewan on his channel. The main issue is not getting the power to the ground as efficiently as it's tracked Deere and Case rivals, because of insufficient weight and ground contact and power losses through the hydro/mechanical Vario transmission.
Heh guys. I'm sure you know that Fendt is part of the AGCO group, which includes Massey Ferguson and Challenger in the USA. Fendt is AGCO's premium brand in Europe, and Fendt technology (in particular the new FendtOne control system) is very impressive. However, at the end of the day a Fendt is still a tractor... which can still break down just like a John Deere or a Case IH. Having said that, it is very encouraging to see you two looking at what else is out there on the tractor market... Keep up the good work!!
When my dad and I farmed south of Aurora. We had an Electragator which we towed between to pivot pads. Each tower you could pull a pin and rotate the wheels, then pull the entire pivot. We had it down to 4 hrs to move it 1/2 mile and have it running again.
Interesting to see what is involved in moving pivots. With as many sections as most have in a field, I can see it taking some time to get it all moved. It sounds like you all are the pivot experts in those parts. Thanks for bringing us along as you learn new things, Laura. It's interesting. Dave
I enjoy everything that you guys do. I have learned so much . It is nice to see someone having fun doing everyday tasks. A ray of sunshine to start the day .Thank you
@@flo__60 we still have 611 pulling the mixing part. Appart from the clutch having to be replaced (twice I think, because of our abuse) great tractor, pitty the summers getting hotter and hotter, because now the only option is like driving around with your front and back window open
Thank you so much for a new video. I know you are busy with everything going on at the farm and being a new wife so I wanted to take the time to let you know we as fans appreciate it at least I do.
Wow! That was amazing...moving a pivot in sections is a lot of work. So fun to see something new every time we watch your videos. That tractor at the show was really something. Would love to see it in action. Thanks for another working/learning/teaching moment with Laura Farms. Love ❤️ you, Grammy

We owned a Fend712 Vario, it was used daily to run a feedwagon on our Dairy. Repeat hydrolick control failure made us decide to sell it after 10000 hours!
After the harvest you were wondering what you would do all winter. Every video is more interesting than the last one. Something new all the time. I enjoy you enjoying your life and learning new stuff.
In Mon-Dak country we call that flagging equipment. We usually have a lead flag vehicle and a chase vehicle. Sometimes we just have a Lead vehicle depending on the the number of tall steep Hills, and flashing lights and width of the equipment.
Have had Deere for 60 years on our Farm. Our Agco dealer is second to none, and the Fendt Warranty is the best in the business. Trading a 7330 on a 718 and a 8310R on a 933.
Unfortunately you are correct. Deere imo isnt what it once was. We run nothing but Fendt and sold off most our deere equipment. 200+ acres Corn and soy.
Yeh i do a bit on the trailers for some local contractors when silage is on, they have a fleet of Fendts but had 2 Deeres. A 6145r and a 6155r, they were alright on the road work, but lacked in power on the hills and i found in Auto they held the gears too long before downshifting so you loose revs. But in the field with a 16 tonne silage trailer on i couldn’t keep up With the forager on the uphill. Even in manual one gear would rev but not make the speed, the next gear would make the speed but didn’t have the power to pull it. Really 155hp should be plenty for hauling trailers but the transmission means they couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding
Hey I'm from Germany, we have one 936S4 Fendt and two 724S4 Fendt and it's one of the best Tractors on the market ✌️👍 we don't have any problems.. Fendt=❤️

I'm definitely a John Deere guy, BUT! get a fendt to demo, I don't think you'll regret getting the experience of trying something different, that I know isn't so common in America
The vehicle at the end looks like a Ford LTD 2 with a Ford four-wheel drive set up under it either for high water or a mud buggy. LTD II was a pretty sturdy body style. You just have to make sure your seals are in great shape and your U-joints are greased well. And remember to run your differential and transfer case vents hoses up inside the body. The real serious guys and gals would run the exhaust through the hood and I have a snorkel on the air intake , with the radiator either in the back seat or the trunk . That worked even better when they came out with the electric fan set up. Some would even pack cosmoline around the ignition system!
I do have Some experience with Fendt from 20-30 years back, before they was available in the US. I really like them. They’re built to last. So... My opinion: Go for a Fendt demo. 👍👍

really though trough tractors small details everywhere on them that make work easier. I looked the older joystick thinking we need key to cue memorised speed on it same with revs, we got it on the later joysticks but using those... now we have auto steer to launch... guess now i'll use the teach-in to do it from the joystick like i used to do for speed an rev settings. would also be great if we had a dial for slight change on the speed setting without bringing up the menu every time....
