There’s something about Robbie and his videos that makes them lovely to watch, maybe it’s his calmness and just all round nice bloke feel and clearly a great Dad, top man Merry Christmas to All…. 🎄
yes, that's what I was trying to get across to my partner as we watched this, that all of robbie's youtubing has been leading to this momentous pinnacle: the paid-for ski resort holiday review vlog!
Merry Christmas Robbie. Great content as always. You are now officially my favourite moustachioed celebrity (taking over from Burt Reynolds, so not bad. Not bad at all).
Ski'd Alpe D'Huez last year and thought it was great. Conditions sadly let us down but resort seemed to have everything you would need, even considered going back this year!
Hey Robbie, very nice video about the resort :) Just at the end you said it does not have a very lively après ski, and you say there is nothing like a big folie douce style thing, but there actually is a folie douce in Alpe d'Huez, at the top of the Marmottes 1 lift ;) Also, in the town of Alpe d'Huez there is quite a lot of clubbing to do.
I’d have loved to but we only had time to do one or the other, and to be brutally honest, I thought La Sarenne gave me a better RUclips thumbnail and title!
@@RobbieKnox that’s very fair, and completely agree with the thumbnail and title sentiment! I’d definitely recommend skiing it if you make it back out there though, that and Sarenne are the two ski runs that will stick with me forever (except my first ever black)
@@RobbieKnox there are many great ski resorts like riksgränsen, åre, funäsdalen. Be aware that it can get to -30c sometimes. But usually is around -10c. Theres many good places here. Sweden very much welcomes you
Well, you’re definitely my favourite ski and food and walk journalist Robbie! Hope you and the family have a great Christmas! What do you think of Chamonix and do you reckon it’s any good going in February?
Great video Robbie. Me and my partner are looking to book a ski trip Jan 2025 but never done it before. Do you have a suggestion for a website to book for first timers that will need ski hire included. Keep up the work!
We ski, crystal or Heidi aren't bad. I'd recommend alpe d'huez (where Robbie is) if you're complete beginners. Don't be tempted to go to the cheapest place you find (ie somewhere like Bulgaria) as the slopes might not necessarily be as beginner friendly Highly recommend getting yourself to an indoor artificial ski slope as well for lessons so you don't waste too much time on holiday learning the basics.
I find it really hard to show how steep runs are on video. Something will look really steep, then I watch it back on the video and it looks easy. So no, it’s steeper than it looks, at least on the early section.
Robbie love you on the podcast mate but I literally just posted a comment with the word a*** (bum) and they keep getting deleted. Sort it out man I’ve unsubcribed now because if this nonsense 🙄
Journalist, dad, fashion-man, food and drink oracle, skier, dad, brewer and moustache advocate. Your CV must be mental!
If I had a CV it would be chaotic.
Don’t forget the best on the happy hour podcast 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 @robbieknox
Thank you so much Otto, I nearly booked this place for my newborn child and now I shall not. Saved me thousands.
Some travel reviewers are just on a different level Chelsea.
Thanks again Robbie; we have literally booked (or not booked) ski holidays based on your reviews. We love them!!
Oh, great. Have you got a trip planned for this year?
Off to Selva Val Gardena with the family Feb half term. Have you done much in the Dolomites?@@RobbieKnox
@@jamesnield go to san martino di castrozza in dolomites, best one imo
From one Robbie to another, really enjoyed this one. Looks like an amazing trip and a really well done video. Merry Christmas!
Thanks Alternative Robbie. It was great fun!

You’re my favourite skiing RUclipsr. A Skiing King. Merry Christmas!
Thanks, you're very kind!
Looks beautiful - adding this to the travel list
It was great to be fair.
@@RobbieKnox I am always looking for resorts with a good amount of both beginner and advanced runs
Omg you’ve nailed it! Free ski holiday, the thing you love most by becoming a RUclipsr.. congrats 🙌 well earnt

Great video Robbie and Otto the Ski God! Thank you so much for journing us, it was an awesome few days!
Thanks so much for having us Zac, terrific trip!
Stunning runs! What a fun experience for yourself and Otto to enjoy together, lovely!
I just love the pace and flow of these videos. Thanks Robbie!
Glad you enjoyed it!
going to Sauze D'oulx in January and this video amplified my excitement tremendously, excellent video once again.
Awesome. Have you been before? I’ve always wanted to go but haven’t.
@@RobbieKnox I haven’t but i’ve heard tremendous things!
Love to see Robbie on the slopes! Come on Ski resorts sponsor the man more often! I guess we know who is the favourite child now 😂
Looks perfect for family skiing
Yeah, would suit families really well. There’s so much to do besides the skiing.
Great stuff, looks a really good and affordable resort.
Great review. I was in Alpe d'Huez at the same time as you. What a fantastic resort. Cheers
Alpe d’Huez looked great. Need to stay there sometime too!
Great video robbie!,Love the skiing content, otto is the next bode miller
Thanks! Yeah, he'll be in the Olympics soon!
New-born here, was planning on going next year. Guess I gotta wait :(
Sorry newborn, give it 6 months.

Yeah, it looks great. We stayed in Vaujany but from my brief forays into Alpe d'Huez it looked awesome.
Dad of the year Robbie Knox
I try my best!
I'm off here in a few weeks, so thank you for the video!
You've achieved your final form - Robbie the Ski resort reviewer who gets freebies for each vid. Legend.
Need to build on this to get more ski trips.
great video, thanks for sharing.

Oh yeah, sorry, I meant Vaujany doesn’t have a huge amount of après. I think there’s plenty in Alpe d’Huez.
@@RobbieKnox yeah Vaujany is more for families or people who want to ski alpe d'huez without breaking the bank :)
I was there last week, wish I had done a Sarenne run with you sir!
Aw, next time pal!
Awesome video Robbie!! Love it. Can’t believe you didn’t ski The Tunnel though, unless it was closed of course. Iconic run with HUGE moguls

I was in Alpe D'Huez 16-23rd december as well, the tunnel was closed sadly. @@RobbieKnox
Great video. Watched all your skiing vids
Top tip. Walk backwards whilst holding the banister to go to the toilet. Easier than forwards for your knees
Great tip! Will give it a go!
Looks amazing, going to Japan in January and I’ve only ever skied on shit Australian snow so I can’t wait
Please go visit sweden and ski here! We have ski season to june and july inn the north.

nice review, do think the apres ski is indeed a little less but there is one folie douce and its really nice.
Great video ! But As a new born I am fuming I can’t ski here !
Sorry, wait till you’re a month old then hit the slopes.
Great Review! Although I agree there is better Apres ski in other resorts (Tignes Valdisere) there is in fact a Folie Douce in Alpe D'huez!
Yeah, sorry - I meant there wasn’t one in Vaujany. Don’t think I was very clear though.

@@sgddfgfghfgh thank you very much! I will look into those.
Is it common to feel any affects from the altitude on a ski holiday? Never been so not something I have considered before.
I found your body feels fitter during cardio when you get back to ground level post holiday
I’ve done it !
Fantastic vid Robbie. Good laugh! But since when can the Brits ski 😂?
Does the video do it justice how steep some of the runs are? I found looking back at when I went it didnt

Whenever I'm asked who my favourite RUclipsr/Journalist/Podcaster/ ForeSkin/ Ex-Soccer AM employee is, I can't help but say Robbie Knox
If they list all five of those then there isn't much competition. But thanks!
Otto is the best kid.
He’s excellent.
Alpe dhuez ?
Yeah. We stayed in Vaujany but same ski area.

It’s not actually the worlds longest black and much of it is actually green!
I'm not buying the 10/10 croissant review
