I think the Mother chose what she liked instead of the daughter, her facial expression at the end says otherwise. She still looked pretty but the royal blue was a statement and the orange was uniquely pretty.
The blue one was extremely elegant and a split could have been made in it. I also loved the orange one. The splits of all the black gowns were too much for me.
Normally I agree with the dresses picked for try on, but not this time. The blue was absolutely gorgeous on her! It fit her perfectly and the color was beautiful. All the other strapless dresses made her top droop and looked way too small on the bottom. The slits going up that far, made her look like she was squeezing into something that didn't fit and I can only imagine how much she will be tugging to keep that dress from riding up constantly.
I am never a big fan of splits on prom girls. They can wear the slits when they are in college. But, in all honesty, it really does not matter what I think. All that matters is what she is comfortable in.
Try adding some shoes, walk around, sit down and stand up a few times when you are working with strapless and a high split to see what you are going to see - it's one thing to stand still and a whole other thing to do the rest of the night.
She look so good in alot of dresses but that blue one dam she looked stunning !!! I also liked one of the black dresses on her too but I can't get that blue one off my mind I guess it's because that dress would definitely be a drop dead gorgeous eye catching jaw dropping award winning dress...lol I hope I didn't go over board..lol 💙🖤👗
THAT ORANGE WAS THE ONE THAT THEN IT MATCHES HER DATE BOW TIE ON POINT BUT OH WELL SHE DIDN'T PICK THAT ONE ALL THE DRESSES WITH THE SPLIT WAS TO MUCH ON THE HIPS TO ME!!!
That young lady has the perfect hourglass body shape. She has the body shape that women of all races, sizes and ages pay big money to cosmetic surgeons to get. All the dresses worked on her, but the electric blue dress was absolutely perfect on her. The color and style suited her perfectly.
I would love to see her choose the blue dress. It looked so nice on her as some of the other dresses seemed too old for her, a bit risqué. These are young girls going to prom not out to the casinos or some other upscale place. Let them be young and sweet. JMO
Agree 100%. My mom would have NEVER let me go outside of the house with a split practically up to my crotch! It's astonishing what parents let their children (CHILDREN!) wear these days.
That cobalt blue dress fit her perfectly!👌🏾& she's right the young lady should pick out her dress first then that dictates what color the couple will wear.
@@cherietaylorsmall5764 It’s because of her lovely hourglass figure. Those splits would be more modest on a different body type, but we all got what the Lord and our mommas gave us.
@Mojogoblue I understand that, but those who design these dresses should make allowances for this. After all, they are catering to plus size people, and they deserve to have their split falling nicely as opposed to a wide open look, which is a hair away from exposing the vagina.
First time EVER saying this but I did not like the dress chosen😞she’s gorgeous her shape is perfect and the split in that dress didn’t showcase it. I absolutely loved the Orange and the Royal Blue one🧡💙 Great job as always JBG🎉
AGREED!! Normally, the dresses they choose are spot on but this time no. The splits were too high, she stands flared footed. The Blue and Orange but they were too modest for her. I am surprised by mom.
@@stanliemurray2085. Me too. I was surprised by the mom choice. What’s mom background? We should not let the fashion industry dictate what is acceptable. But I loved the blue and orange gowns.
The orange dress actually fit - the others were too small! Fit the largest part of your body and adjust the rest. And either better boning in the tops or definitely need straps.
She has the body for all of them, but those splits were too much. That blue was so elegant, and the orange was very pretty as well. Splits are okay, but as a young lady, we must learn to be modest as well. ❤❤❤❤
The BLUE looked like it was made especially for her. The color screamed on her skin and the ORANGE was my second favorite. It matches her escorts color and she looked regal in it. I'm not feeling the splits on these girls. They're way too high and the dresses too tight. As soon as they sit down their undergarments will be showing or the split will split even further.
I'm wondering that too. Will the split....split even further when she sits down? I tend to think that it will. Then what will she do? The dress will be ruined, and hopefully she won't be embarassed with it happening at the prom. She needs to try it out first. But, if it rips, she can't take it back. The split dresses were a but small on the bottom. They were all very tight. Maybe one size up and then adjust the top to fit for the rest of it, that's what others have done. Formalwear often needs to be tailored and altered to fit each person.
The blue and the orange looked really good on her. There was one black dress that looked very nice on her. A lot of those splits were too much because of her body type, and made the look seem inappropriate for prom. The dress she chose had a decent split.
I agree with you that those splits were too much, and most schools do have a dress code, and wearing that dress was too much. Modest is the best policy.
Mom being OK with that split for a school function is bonkers.. That said, the 3rd, 5th & last one were the best. I loved the 5th, black silver/sparkly dress was my fav but the slit needed to be closed. Orange popped on her. The blue was just pure elegance. Those slits were too much for a highschool event, ever..
she slayed EVERY SINGLE ONEEE…!! the one she chose was my favorite too, so beautiful. the mirror, see through detail, split, the black. so gorgeous, i want one too!
I’ve never been so irrationally upset with a teenage boy I don’t know for choosing his colors first. That blue was amazing. She’s just gorgeous anyway.
Oh, mannnn I would have loved her in the orange! Well, like you said, it’s her body. I’m glad she found something she liked and hope she feels beautiful for prom!
“That split comes down a bit more…which makes me comfortable” 😉 Me too (as a mom of a high-school kid lol) That royal blue was so elegant on her. All the splits were too high for 17/18 y/o. I’d have to get the split stitched down several inches
Lesson in life Do Not Allow anyone to put you in a box, unfortunately her boyfriend shopping before she got her dress hindered her selection, honestly I pray this is a lesson learned. She is a Beautiful Young Lady and deserves the best 👑🖤👑
The blue and orange were more classy and covered...the others imo were a bit much with the very high splits not sure if she chose what mom wanted or this was her favorite as well.
The royal blue, #3, was the best choice. She looked fantastic. Other dresses, the slit was too high on all. My 2nd choice? The orange. It was gorgeous too.
the oange one looked so amazing on her skintone it was maybe just a tiny bit to sharp in the color but amazing still. but the one she picked was my second favorite so good choice
you are beautiful and look great in all the dresses..I trust you the split is very mature for a high school girl but when I think about it shows no more than a pair of shorts girls are wearing now..I also think about the boys ii 🙏 for their controll
That blue is bomb
She is stunning in the electric blue gown
She is stunning in the electric blue gown
Yes... Just right for her age. Blue one.... Orange is beautiful too.
I think the Mother chose what she liked instead of the daughter, her facial expression at the end says otherwise. She still looked pretty but the royal blue was a statement and the orange was uniquely pretty.
My favorite was the blue gown
Blue
It's a no- brainer.❤
Not a fan of those splits though.
Shop buyer needs to make more age appropriate selections for young ladies.
She can wear any of these but my favorite is the blue. All the dresses looked like it was made for her.
The blue one was extremely elegant and a split could have been made in it.
I also loved the orange one.

That blue is perfect the way it is
The blue is perfect. She has beautiful figure and sll the drrsses looked great minus the high splits.
Yes ! Something about the blue against her beautiful complexion popped !🤩
Agreed splits too high wish they were a little lower
Blue is better. She don't need a slit.
I agree with you that those splits were too much. Modest is the best thing for a female at all ages.
She has such a beautiful shape, she looks gorgeous in all the dresses! The bright blue is 🔥 on her though!
Split is to high...go with the blue. She is beautiful in the blue for her age.
the blue was the best one.
I feel like tell him to take whatever he got back. So you can wear that blue, is that wrong?😅
I'm thinking the same, a lil blue bow tie can be picked up anywhere if needed
Nope, not at all. He's wearing blue & orange
Nope! These new males are just confused.

Should have picked the blue. She looked magnificent in it.
a lot of those splits are too much...but the one at 5:40 is nice
Yeah, I don't understand the "split to the crotch" look. 😂 Frankly, it detracts from the beauty of the dresses.
I think so too. It's not a split but a whole highway. She is a beautiful young lady. that blue dress was fire 🔥 on her.

WHAT 😮THE BLACK ONE ? She was absolutely gorgeous in the orange one AND the blue dress
The Blue and the Orange all day No other comments

It's her decision but i think the blue and orange without the gloves was what I was hoping she'd choose. 🤷🏾♀️

I really am not fond of the leg splits.

The slits are too high in these gowns!
How do they sit?
It is a beautiful dress but the split is to much. I’m surprised mom approved the dress.
She looks stunning ❤
The blue is gorgeous, and she looks so pretty in it. Why do young women want to just wear black?
I liked the one with the sparkles on half the dress...her pick was good--heck everyone was good but the splits---babee I was scared😆❤️
Some of those dresses are too grown for prom. Drop the high wide splits
I'm happy she has what she likes. I loved #3. It was my favorite.
