I’m using music to get through the 5th years after my daughters death. My Laura played cello and I wanted you to know that this made me cry, which for me was very healing. Yes, I cry every day even after 5 years; the agony never goes away, you just learn to get by. This is my song of the day for Nov 13, 2024. Much love from Laura’s mom 💕🐝💕🇺🇸
Anyone who understands Bach’s language is highly blessed because all the letters in the alphabet are not enough to express his genius…more blessed are those who can perform him
Another suite 1 recommendation from youtube, a minute into it I'm hooked and I watch the entire thing uninterrupted. Lot of clarity and beauty in your sound loved it!
This young man has potential. He understands Bach. His violin bow needs to be adjusted to play the strings properly. I heard a few mistakes from incorrect finger pressure. But he never lost focus and played right through his small mistake. I enjoyed watching him playing because he was focused on his playing and focused on the music. His fingering and his touch can use a little more work and polishing. But he is attuned to the music he plays. On more than one occasion I watched his eyes. He disappeared from this world ever so briefly as he connected and joined with the music as he played. The young man is a true musician. I did hear a couple of minor mistakes. I also saw him getting a little frustrated because of the mistakes. His cheeks became visibly flustered and red when he played a couple of wrong notes. But to his credit he kept going and kept on playing. The mark of a true musician well on his way to becoming a master cellist. His frustration didn't last and he didn't let it get the better of him. Bravo young man.... thank you for this video recording.
As my teacher, the late GREAT Frank Miller, once said to someone in a master class. "Take your whole life to learn these suites" Even now 46 years later, I still discover new things in them.....Bravo!!
Good one, absolutely! Unpretentiously. Let the music stand for itself - yours is very good and under my Top3 worldwide, seriously 👌🏻☺️🙏🏻 ….if you may like, check out my father’s one recorded at Zurich in 1970 under (follows) ….

Thank you very much for the kind words. I had a chance to listen to your father's playing and I enjoyed listening to some of his 1st Suite.

You his cello mentor? want to hear how well you play it.
There's always one Ass.... out there to ruin a very beautiful moment.
