P0700 is a generic code. A full scan with a proper OBD scanner will show the related codes. It may be eletrical related as low voltage can cause the computers to miscommunicate. Possibly a battery replacement, cables may need replacing or a power draw that is destroying any new battery overtime. This is provided you have serviced your transmission per interval schedule and the car is shifting fine etc.
Thank you for this. My car isn't starting, and the code is coming up as P0700. Strange bc my transmission isn't shifting hard, or showing signs of wear. Hoping this is the problem.
