To those who think you know how it's done - there's a hand-off to another guy - he hides it up his sleeves - it's a fake bottle...you're all wrong, sorry. I had the opportunity to visit Shawn at last year's New Year's party, and he did this for me. Now get this, I brought a bottle of wine, my wife and I drank the wine, I handed this bottle to Shawn who then made it disappear - while standing alone in the middle of his back yard, and then brought it back and handed it back to me. He was alone, no-one near. he wasn't wearing anything more than a normal shirt. No jacket, no helper, didn't drop it or toss it away. This is magic at it's finest. Simple, clean, amazing!

Think I know how this was done. The seemingly interested guy behind him gets the bottle handed during the obscuring act with the handkerchief. Pause on 0:37, he is focusing on something, and a dark part of his suit appear below the magicians arm for a moment which i initially thought was just the jacket. Pretty sure he is part of the act.
Guy on the (our) left takes the bottle at 0.35-0.36. You can see him start to tilt the bottle sideways and even give it a gentle push, and you can slightly see the guy's arm move behind there, and at 00.38 we even see the bottom of the bottle slide past near his collar. No matter HOW - it's an amazing trick.
My brain hurts. Seriously, Shawn is just so good. How can that be done with witnesses so near? Incidentally, that's not the first time I've asked that question.
The man behind Shawn's right side has to be in on it. If you continually pause the video you can see that the bottle is never out of his sight. The napkin is never blocking his eyes from seeing the bottle. Yet he is amazed. Did he see the bottle vaporize? We know that did not happen. I think we have a left-hand reach in from behind between Shawn's right arm and side.
I figured it out Shawn has a thirds arm underneath his right arm and his shirt has an opening where he can grab the bottle with his third arm and puts it behind his back!
0:380:39 you can see the bottle on the left of the napkin where it slips underneath his armpit. most likely the guy to the left of him picks it up. 0:360:37 he can see the left guys hand underneath his arm as well.
all three are in on it ! you pass the bottle off to the Asian guy to your right under your arm while the guy on your left confirms the trick in amazement even though he saw you do it ! well done ! you probably fooled most with this slight of hand ! T^i^
There's only one solution - The bottle is some sort of gimmicked trick bottle. Like it's a flexible fake bottle. I commend you on how clean you are with every trick, Shawn! And a fellow Manitoban, as well!

@@JeroenBaxexm I think the point was that you don't need an actual assistent. :p Your proposed assistent could've very well been the same one in this video, simply working from a different angle. Either way, since there are a number of ways to achieve it, the method isn't as important as the effect in this case. Real bottle, real vanish (meaning no optical illusion).
In this method he uses a stooge. You can see someones hand reaching for the bottle from behind if you pause the video at the right time 0:38 onward. You can even see bottle underneath his right biceps. Just put the video on slow motion and look ^^
Even when you can see how it's sort of done it's still hard to tell exactly how it's done. I even slowed the video down and I still couldn't really tell.

The reason you are considered one of the best magicians of tdd he world: you did it in slow motion, I did it in .25 speed, and I still have no idea where you hid the bottle. You wouldn't have involved the other guy, you moved your arms around quite a lot, and you wouldn't use a fake bottle. I know how others would almost always use this trick, but for you...

After discreetly emptying it (in my belly), I asked Shawn to do the disappearing bottle illusion, but I gave him MY bottle! To be noted, I am NOT a magician in any form. Only a great fan of Shawns. He used my bottle, stood on the yard by himself, made it disappear and then reappear! Then he gave it back to me. Yeah. Magic bottle I guess.

This is the best variation. I think wrapping it in the napkin and having the vanish happen "slow-motion" is very effective defies detection.
