@@mygiguser I’ve been all over the internet and can’t find anything on it I’m really interested to find out though as I’ve got a chance to get a flir android cheap and I have got an iPhone
Thank you! Was able to switch the battery and the device works well again. Remember people to put a calendar reminder every 2-3 months to remember charge the device so the battery lasts longer.
I just replaced the battery on my Flir One Pro. Be careful removing the old battery as the connector to the small circuit board on mine got ripped off when I tried to slide out the old battery connector. Thankfully I am OK with a bit of micro soldering and soldered the bare wires from the new battery directly to the solder pads on the pcb. That's the only point I would make otherwise great tutorial, my fault for not being more careful.
I only charged this battery once, and i still have 57% battery left after 4 days. I do think that the original battery died, because it was discharged too low at one point. So far so good, i am going to keep an eye on this. Maybe it is really necessary to charge this device on a regular basis at least once every 2 weeks.
Hi there, did you get it to work in your model? I just acquired a pair of older IOS models used, one works, the other is dead, I assume it's the battery. I can't figure out the FLIR model terminology, all I can find is the new Gen3 variations, and Gen2. Was there a Gen1? Mine are P/N 435-0002-02-00, I think that's Gen2? Anyway, do these take the same battery?
Excellent tutorial! Just ordered my battery. Does anyone know which screw is used in flir one pro so i could order a replacement on that too? Thank you!
Just got the exact battery delivered today. And found that I also need the T5 screwdriver. Damn! Also wondering if the new battery has the same discharging issue as the old one ?
Oh yes, same issue persists. It is important to charge it at a minimum of once every two weeks, or even better at least once a week, if not in use! This is possibly breaking the battery, if it gets discharged too low, when storing this device for a month without charging.
I found my battery was discharging because when the camera is in its case the rather stiff foam insert was pressing on the power button and turning it on. I cut away the foam so that this couldn't happen.
Thank you so much for this excellent video. I thought I was the only one with a battery problem, it seemed to discharge when doing nothing, unlike other lithium battery applications. I never got any help from FLIR on this. I think my FLIR One is Gen 1, is yours? (Mine says P/N 435-0006-01). Maybe later versions fixed some battery problem?
Here’s a quick question will a flir one pro lt android work on an iPhone using an adapter
That is a good question. I have the same question. Let me know when you find an answer!

Thanks for this tip. Flir wanted $200 to replace the battery. I ordered the replacement from Amazon for $18.

How can that happen to a professor? Anyhow, thank you for your comment!

I wanted to do this on my flirone (basic model) for months. Thank you
Order the battery first, it took almost a month to get here!

My red light came on right away when I attached battery to camera and now it won’t shut off? Did I do something wrong?
IDK, hard to say without seeing it. Mine still works.
@@mygiguser literally just unplugged old and plugged in new…? Maybe camera really is pouched
I have the exact same problem...
What if when not in use we attach the camera to a power bank instead of recharge every two weeks?
Is the red (+) and the black (-)? What's the white one ?
temp sensor
This is fantastic!!! Excatly what I need 🙂
How long did the Flir last for with your 18650 battery?
Oh well, it lasted for a month without charging, as i was waiting for the replacement battery.
@@mygiguser wow, that sounds great. Now I’m not sure if I should get the CS battery or the 18650.
I didn’t use my FLIR for a really long time. When I plug it in, no light comes on. Do I need a new battery or is the unit dead?
Needs new battery!

I mention that in the video that you need a T5
