Always entertaining, although I might be hard pressed to explain exactly why. Just a good vibe coming from Posy and the things he finds interesting. Keep up the good work, friend!
As someone who's been making (crappy) music for over a decade at this point, I do enjoy the insides and construction of the songs and it provides inspiration too
My old keyboard made the same sound but only when powered on. The sound was probably due to electromagnetic radiation. It got worse when I kept my smartphone near and turned on a video or by calling someone so that my phone emitted electromagnetic radiation. Maybe you can try keeping your smartphone close to the keyboard to try this hypothesis?
Your experimental way of making music reminds me of Aphex Twin and DJ Shadow. I love it! This particular song seems like it would be created by combining of both of them.
My guess for the Yamaha HandySound HS-500 is that it is a dirty on-off switch contact. I cleaned up a similar simple Casio keyboard that appeared to have been unused for a very long time. The first time I was testing it I switched it off but it was making the kind of noises you mentioned in your video. Using deoxit and exercising the power switch a bit solved the issue.
Posy, you're the best. Just (re)watched Autumn Colors for the 100th time before getting recommended this. Hope Spring is going nicely up in the Netherlands. Spring Colors video one day?
Man, I’m working and this came on youtube shuffle. This song came on with the duh du-duh hook and I was like damn. This is the best music to listen to, can we get it on Apple Music/spotify soon?
Maybe this poping sound is from the ship radar? Or corrosion (oxidation) of the power switch charged the capacitor very slowly and when the voltage increased enough to turn on the amplifier it immediately discharged creating a pop? Thanks for the unique and great videos. Beautiful quality and nice humor.
omg, i think had the same stereo system back then .... 1989, i guess? but the brand was siemens. can't tell for sure if it was the same with a different brand name, but it looks really fu***ng familiar
Where's the song? I have all your music in my Spotify libary and I can't find Scratch in there anywhere. Not on Bandcamp either. Does it have another name or have you not submitted it to these services yet?
Interesting to see you use the RX10 De-Ess in Spectral mode. To my ears it just doesn't work for the audio that I work with, either the sibilance feels unaffected or suddenly the S sound is completely gone.
I love how unseriously you take your relatively popular channel... As an old school tracker boy, I recognize that most of the things we care about now are endlessly pointless, but with age, like cheese, ripen
is pozy (not the lazy) coming back??? don`t get me wrong, i love lazy posy, but i miss your posy projects. and stop it, posy art is not boring at all. i love all of it :)
Lo-fi hip hop beats to deconstruct your stereo to
0:36 I never thought that I would be mentioned in a Lazy Posy video. Thanks! :D

ITT: boards of holland
I read your comment the moment I was about to leave one saying this sounds like boards of Canada
Cool trick with the "slow it down to keep the same note"
the song at the end reminds me of "the avalanches frontier psychiatrist"
The Avalanches and Lemon Jelly are sampling geniuses.
Grab a kazoo, let's have a duel
That boy needs therapy
You're a nut! But what does that mean?
"...still boring" - I love the comedic timing on this :D

The track at the end is very reminiscent of Mr. Oizo's Analog Worms Attack

Bandrecorder is a very nice Dutch way so say taperecorder ❤
Daa -da-da-dada daa in my head all day. My reward 😊

Thank you, I rewatched the last vid like 2 or 3 times trying to figure out if you explained why the noise was being made.

The boring stuff is in fact, not boring. Change my mind
It's boring the same way a sofa is boring. Sure, it's not the centerpiece but it's nice and comfortable.
Honestly, a really cool track!
And I do hope you never regret filming yourself, lol
stop saying it's boring!! it's very interesting :)

that bushveld mix was great! I wish there was more of that bird call, maybe used as a crash?
and as always, sir, you are a national treasure.
I like that you still use your cursors! I mean so do I, literally the first thing I install any time I set up a computer

0:24 Obviously, the reason is already known, and it is called "Radiation Detector Keyboards" on the main channel

what an intro
Maybe the keyboard has a ghost (aka Obake おばけ in it's country of origin) inside it.

(Lazy) Posy never disappoints.
By the way: Im learning dutch rightnow.
soo that said:
mooi video en mooi liedje. 🤗
your song reminds me of the song "sick dog trying to speak" by mr. oizo. i like it.
Hee Posy, vraagje... Where can I get one of those Posy stickers? Or kan joe send eentje since ik live in de Netherland?
This is how Brion Gysin did scratching back in the 1950s ???? 1960s ????

Hi Posy, thank you for the video! Do you like your PC keyboard? I have the same one for years and it's fantastic!
one question: posy what you used to do in 2000 ?
Interesting to see you use the RX10 De-Ess in Spectral mode. To my ears it just doesn't work for the audio that I work with, either the sibilance feels unaffected or suddenly the S sound is completely gone.
