If anyone is going to New Zealand, please do this last. I lost the grip on that first jump and got rolling for some 10 m on the ground, luckily it was my last day so I didn't have to do everything else feeling like I was run over by a truck.

Awesome sauce. Love the little stamp on his right hand. They give you that stamp to prove that they have shown you how to brake. If you go too fast and stack it, well that’s your own stupid fault mate - you knew how to brake. There’s no suing for compo in NZ which is why such fun is available. And you do get airborne at 0:59

I went on this when I was 15 years old, although I remember there was a fork in the track at some point with an advanced section you could take that went down a steep section where you got mega speed. I'm now 46, and going back there in June. I can't wait.
Decades ago, my daughters and I rode the luge and I came around the bend at the top of the steep section and there were two teenage girls stopped at the bottom, blocking the track and there I was, coming down on them like a dive bomber. They heard me screaming and scattered, leaving just enough gap for me and my vapour trail to get through. They showed up behind me at the drop-off point and there wasn't a lot of eye contact from them. Great fun, all the same and my daughters and I nearly blew our budget on the ride.
0:56 can get some pretty good air off that small crest. As long as you take the corners before with a nice line so you can hold speed, you’ll be getting some decent air. We used to see how far we could land.
I would literally be screaming Mario lines the whole course "HERE WE GO!!!", Flipping the bird to my mate with a beaming grin on my face as I overtake him "THANK YOU SO NICE!!!!" Lmfao 😂
I was one of the folks who helped test the track when they built it my brother came off on one of the jumps they had and lost most of the skin on his right side we were in shorts singlets and flip flops (jandals) lol
Yea I also wouldn't ride in normales clothes there, it's fucking stupid. Looks like they are going pretty fast, at this speed you'll get badly injured when you crash. Racing isn't just about fun, kids.
