8:00 for longterm I think it would be better to take profit at x3 zone and enter again on next day, I don't think it was a good choice to go for x6 straight away, sure this time it worked it, it was "supposed" to but, taking 3x and entering trade you would reduce your risk by half and take profit at the same time. Now if price turn around and hit stop loss you still up 2.5 and you can enter trade and get 4, but over 100 trades this would earn better result imo

Top video mate. Was just doing some self analysis on a few trades I took this week myself. There's always a lesson you learn from studying your trades, there's usually something you could've done better when you go through a losing streak, always. And since we're not robots our job is to identify it and arrest it before it gets out of hand, and I think that's what being a trader is all about because untimely I don't think we can ever eliminate those mistakes 100%, but we don't need to, we just needs to be aware when we're straying then quickly get back on track. haha same thing happening to me rn like my max drawdown over months is 4 losing trades and literally i know that but i decided not to play the next on my funded account and that ended up being an 8r win haha , just got to accept it sometimes. Do you risk .5 or 1% tho?
Exactly! 1.5% on challenges but now there’s no time limit I’ll go back to 1%

Would’ve been so tempting to close as soon as local highs were taken after a 5 loss streak just to lock in profit. That right there is what I’ve learned is the difference between highly profitable traders and average traders.

Love it. Shows you that despite taking losses, if you have a profitable edge it should play out. Ideally obviously your strike rate is high, but every trader will go through periods where you take 3/4/5 losses in a row.

I'm currently on my phase 2 of the challenge, in a deep losing streak as well.
The coincidence is crazy, and so this resonates with me so much.
The big question is are you going to execute professionally against the market given that the last 5 executions were losses?
How I've dealt with it is remember that yes there are losses but what can I possibly do to recoup them? The best thing I can do is trade my model in the most professional way and not deviate now that I'm in a losing streak. Even willy nilly breaking one or two small rules is venturing into the unknown coz you've never backtested those changes.
As complicated as it is, the best thing to do is the simplest thing: just follow your tried and tested plan.

5 losing trades in a row would not be unusual. With a 50% win rate you can expect a losing run of 7 at some point within a set of 100 trades and a losing run of 9 within a set of 500 trades.

The timing of this video is spot on. I am currently experiencing a losing streak as well on my phase 1 of MFF. Psychology is key, and having been in the game for some time, i execute effortlessly regardless of the losing streak. Great video mate!

Being able to execute trades after consecutive losses and not getting emotional is extremely hard to do, that’s why having a plan in place to keep you on right path is a must (discipline to execute that plan) and as much as we analyse trades, trader needs to analyse their current state and control their emotions at all time. That’s why he did so well and managed to get back into game. Well done man to your success. Aslo some really goods points undroostanding markets conditions.
