That’s a good idea on the wood block wedge there. Install of the panel is very clean only thing I would possibly do differently is maybe adding a cover over the wood so it’s not as visible but that’s a minor gripe. Good job ❤
Thanks so much for the feedback, Kristopher! I’m glad you found the wedge idea helpful. Covering the wood will be a second step. The old panel died and we needed to install a new one before the holidays ASAP. We will also make some changes and move the panel a little down so people with short stature can use face recognition. I think we will plaster it and make artificial stones around it. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to share your thoughts!
Thanks for the review. At 2:27 you state that the Unifi Intercoms system has an Amazon connection so that Amazon delivery people can enter through the front door presumably without ringing a resident, but by pressing a button on the delivery person's Amazon app. Is that the case? I could not find any information on this.
Hi @s0p3z2, Amazon gave us their RING terminal, that was connected to the Kantech Access Controller directly. To the same input as a Canada Post key and UA - Intercom.
As I mentioned, it was an emergency installation and implementation into the old system. Of course, many changes must be made to finish the project. Like redoing the wiring, moving all Hikvision cams to the Ubiquiti AI Ports, adding more AI Turrets and installing the UNVR.
thanks, was trying to find the review of this system. Could you please advise how mobile call feature is setup? Does unifi access app on the console include some sort of SIP server?
Hi @MrSmilev, Mobile calling is integrated into UI Intercom. Ubiquiti uses their SIP servers for calls and voice information for different countries phones. The SIP service is included for free. You just need to put a phone number of the Call Receiver.
Yes, it was an urgent temporary installation before the holidays because the old panel died. And a lot of work must be done to clean the project. Switch the cams to UI Protect as well.
Hi. My company's building is also run by Kantech for intercom, door, elevator, and garage access. My only question is that once you install the UniFi system, are you totally bypassing those Kantech boxes in the electrical room, or do you still need to use them for something else?
Hi Evan, sure we need Kantech. The UA-Hub lock Dry output is connected to the Kantech Lobby Door REX input. As well as a Canada Post keylock and Amazon Nest gateway for the Amazon guys. So, to open the door you can use Kantech ioprox fob, keypad on the Kantech reader, UA-Intercom resident call, Identity app, PIN code, NFC card and face recognition.
Yes, we can decide with residents how they want to be represented on the panel. Some have only apartment numbers, and more people use surnames for postal deliveries. This is individually manageable.

@@Alex-sh8bb ok, thanks for the reply.
Good job but the rack looks unfinished. No patch panel, cable management or labeling done.

@@Alex-sh8bb thanks a lot, much appreciated!
This whole setup is just temporary right? Because it looks very unfinished

Wow, no data protection. This is not okay for Europe or security in general. Use apartment no only. No names.
