I thought they would be facing the Nuggets in WCF and win because Nuggets traded Bruce Brown for some reason. Best believe without that mid season trade Mavericks would have been lucky to even be a 7/8 seed. Luka and Kyrie would have been sensational but they wouldn't have had enough to beat any top seed in the 1st round.

That lions thing from Perk about Luka- for a half second I tried guessing where he was going. I did not expect “6 lions” and it made me 😆. I thought he was going to say “Luka”, like he’d survive a cage with 5 lions. I don’t know 🤪
@@ChokeslamToHell why do you think he was a nut job quitter ? Because he changed teams ? Most players in the league change teams. Just like most people throughout life change jobs. Why are you calling him a nutjob quitter ?
i think the whole "best player alive" thing is kinda dumb. there are a few guys that are top players in the league and who can play like the best player and win if the right team is around him. Luka is proving that now - last year his team didnt make the playoffs, this year they're in the finals. The difference is what's around him now makes sense. You need a 1A guy to win but you need a secondary star and a team that complements them to allow them to win
Why aren’t the league in trouble if Celtics win it? They’re the ones that have shown they can consistently get far in the playoffs. Mavs went from WCF to missing the play in and now in the finals
The mavs missed the playoffs do to a mid season trade and a plethora of injuries. Why are you acting like those things didn’t happen? And if u have a slip up in the west it could mean being a 4th seed to being a 10th or lower
Mavs missed the play ins on purpose last year. I do t know why everyone act like they didn’t. Kyrie didn’t make it to the team until after the trade deadline and him and Luka only played like 12/13 games together due to injuries. Last point, the western conference is so tight and competitive, one or two games can have you a 6th seed or out the playoffs altogether!
Because regardless of whether they win a championship or not, the Celtics have a lower ceiling than other championship contenders. They don't have a true best in the world player candidate. Tatum is great but he's a tier blow that top 4. the Nuggets, OKC, DAL and even the Bucks have a higher ceiling when everyone is clicking whereas the Celtics don't.
Luka is MVP. Kyrie and Luka are the best combo. Looking at their performance of these two and their teammates, championship is almost guaranteed. Anyways, Boston is also a very good team except they always falter at the end.
I think Luka is the best individual player in the league, but it really depends on which stats you find more impressive. Scoring and assists? Or rebounds and efficiency? They’re both amazing facilitators and playmakers. Jokic has had better teams most years. Luka scored the most points in a game since Kobe and leads the entire playoffs in points, assists, rebounds, steals, and threes. That’s unheard of, give me Luka.
@@ChokeslamToHell ok, so they’re both generational offensive talents who are capable of playing solid defense when they’re engaged and when the moment calls for it. Neither are lockdown defenders but are smart with angles and passing lanes…as evidenced by Luka having more steals than anyone else in the playoffs.
Jokic had good team ( 0 all-stars) for 1 year. He played with G-league players for his 2 MVP years, who were out of NBA next year, and his next 2 best guys guys didn't play.
They said that about the nuggets too the league is in trouble they act like luka gonna win 6 more titles cut it out . The league is as wide open as it ever has 😂😂😂
I think Boston gets them out relatively easily. The Mavs can't match up with Celtics' versatile offense, and the Celtics have 5 good-to-elite defenders on the floor at all times.
Luka is yet putting together a historic performance this time in the post season and yet people still focus on staying negative and undermining his play.
Jokic was 1st, 1st, 1st in pts reb assists at the end of the finals last year, which was the first time that happened. Now Luka is the 1st to do it going into the finals. All time great stuff by both.
Wouldn't the league be more in trouble if the Celtics win it? That would mean not only did they beat the best the West has to offer, but they also live in a conference where they get a free trip to the Finals every year.
Credit to Luka and the Mavs for fostering a culture where kyrie could come in and focus on basketball. Credit to Kyrie for reminding everyone who he is. Massive Credit to the mavs for the afford and Washington trades. Kylie and Luka are playing some amazing individual defense as well. That lions thing from Perk about Luka- for a half second I tried guessing where he was going. I did not expect “6 lions” and it made me 😆. I thought he was going to say “Luka”, like he’d survive a cage with 5 lions. I don’t know 🤪
Maybe Tatum and Brown did not respect Kyrie mindset back then
That's just not true.
@francisisiah13 The team as a whole couldn;t have accomodated Kyrie anymore and he still took a a giant dump on all of them, what are you even saying?
Kyrie was a nutjob quitter for about a decade in multiple places. Don’t re-write history.
@@ChokeslamToHell Yeah, the MAIN of those places being Boston.
Because their best players are chokers. We know that if they don't choke in this series, they'll choke next year
The mavs missed the playoffs do to a mid season trade and a plethora of injuries.
@@AP90x Because jctslice is a bullshitter.
Remember to adjust the playback speed to 1.5 when Perkins shows up
Celtic haters dreading what’s likely to come in the next two weeks.
They’re disguising themselves as Mavs fans lol
"Title for Kyrie would mean ____"
*shows footage of only Luka* (and vice versa...)
😵💫
Y'ALL GET PAID TO DO THIS...GET BETTER SCRUBS
Bla bla bla bla the Celtics are a better team by far
and mavs have the best player on the floor and the two best closers buddy
The Mavericks ain’t the weak East riddled with injuries. Your Celtics, haven’t been battle tested. And, are in for a rude awakening.
@@Uptzayyup and i trust these 2 more
Celtics had the best team against Miami and still lost
@@HurleyGonzalez and the mavs they not met the best defense team in nba OKC weak defenders wolf weak defenders too
Luka is MVP. Kyrie and Luka are the best combo. Looking at their performance of these two and their teammates, championship is almost guaranteed.
Anyways, Boston is also a very good team except they always falter at the end.
As A Atl Hawks fan this hurts!!!
Perk’s top 5 NBA guys obviously keep changing whenever he tried to talks about them :D
Please win, Luka
I think Luka is the best individual player in the league, but it really depends on which stats you find more impressive. Scoring and assists? Or rebounds and efficiency? They’re both amazing facilitators and playmakers. Jokic has had better teams most years. Luka scored the most points in a game since Kobe and leads the entire playoffs in points, assists, rebounds, steals, and threes. That’s unheard of, give me Luka.
You’re leaving half the game out of the equation bro
@@ChokeslamToHell ok, so they’re both generational offensive talents who are capable of playing solid defense when they’re engaged and when the moment calls for it. Neither are lockdown defenders but are smart with angles and passing lanes…as evidenced by Luka having more steals than anyone else in the playoffs.
Jokic had good team ( 0 all-stars) for 1 year. He played with G-league players for his 2 MVP years, who were out of NBA next year, and his next 2 best guys guys didn't play.
@@bojan4bobo6 fair, but Luka has taken his team farther than Jokic two out of the last three seasons. Denver was clearly better last year.
Not giving luka his credit is just fuel to flame the fire.. he loves going against haters, celtic fans get ready 😎
We ready bro 😂
Glad they showed the Cuban footage and Greeny owned it and said he was wrong. Lots of others aren't.
All his numbers are down even though he’s playing more minutes
Jokic was 1st, 1st, 1st in pts reb assists at the end of the finals last year, which was the first time that happened. Now Luka is the 1st to do it going into the finals. All time great stuff by both.
Both Boston and Dallas deserve the praise this year. All these players deserve to be called the best!!
Wouldn't the league be more in trouble if the Celtics win it? That would mean not only did they beat the best the West has to offer, but they also live in a conference where they get a free trip to the Finals every year.
Celtics are the better team. Period. They should win id be surprised if they don’t. Jrue picking up Luka full court all series.
Big shout out to Tim Legler for pointing out the obvious about Dallas maverick as the trade went down. because I too saw it.
The stars will do what stars do, but this will come down to the role players! Both defensively and offensively! I think Maxi Kleber will be key!
Kyrie-Drama & LUKA MAGIC UNSTOPPABLE on OFFENSE 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Leading all stat categories is insane
Thank you espn.
I mean, people prolly said the same thing about the Nuggets last season.
Tim Legler was just praising him, if they win a chip, itll be very hard for the league going forward
Health Permitted.
Hopefully Luka is able to get and stay healthy since he is rather banged up right now and can get in even better shape to take his defense to another level for the entirety of next season.
An unbiased media would go a long ways toward making the labeling of players skill level alot more fair. Rather than flava of the moment.
