Chad is definitely meant to be sort of a Dewey character, someone gets stabbed a ridiculous amount of times, and still survives because he is the love interest of one of the other mains

the opening scene is so iconic to me. I think it’s my top 3 scream opening scenes.
Same it’s really creative and the 2nd goriest of the openings. The original is still number 1 and scream 2 is 2nd best opening cause it’s the first of the actual creative openings cause it’s not at a house and served us public murder.

@@Ghostface1998 OMG YESS…I love all of the openings but your order has gotta be the same for me. The original is just…perfect. Period. Scream 2’s was the scariest for me. But this one was amazing. If I had to to a top five, I’d add Scream 4 then Scream 3.
@@ChumChumSauce well it’s only 6 openings lmao. There’s no bad opening but there are better openings for me it goes 1,2,6,5,3,4. The only ones that can switch is 2 and 6 they are so unique that they can switch anytime I love them both especially 6 cause I got tired of all these house openings. The only opening to not really take itself seriously was scream 4 with the fake outs but it’s still entertaining.
Her screams too gave me *CHILLS* like I felt every scream. Which sounds weird and cringe, but the acting was amazing

The most impressive thing this movie did was turn ppl who didn’t love Sam into Sam lovers like me. We can be honest and say she didn’t sell a lot of ppl on her capability of being the new Sidney but now she can definitely hold it down as the new lead. This movie was fuckin awesome currently 3rd favorite and with some plot holes it’s still a really good movie so happy it was financially and critically successful.

For Mindy being the horror fan and laying out the rules, she nearly got herself killed. She’s lingering in back when they got into the subway, then she literally separated herself at the back of the train. Like if I saw someone in a Ghost Face costume staring at me, I’m putting myself between people or putting myself behind someone. Like I’m getting everyone’s attention. Also Sam would be an amazing Ghost Face killer, she is brutal and would go hard
She probably won't survive Scream 7.

You know, you’re not wrong because supposedly nobody knows how horror movies work, so if nobody knew how they worked except Mindy and then she became of the killers in scream 7…. It would either be a great twist since she’s their friend, and you would suspect the friend. The CORE 4 member. Or it could be one of the worst villains because she’s been with this long, why would she turn now?

The series has always found ways to be meta and slightly different from other slashers so that idea or a more fleshed out version of having it be "ghostface" hunting other ghosts faces or something would be awesome

Mendy mentioned how she was on a lot of drugs, probably morphine or adrenaline that hadn’t worn off yet, that’s why she was able to run and explain why she was so amped up. And chad survived because they stab him all in the outer torso, not in his arteries or heart.

FINALLY! Girl, this movie was fabulous. It was sooo good. The cast was everything. Shouts out to Melissa. I wasn't the biggest fan of Sam in 5. She did not emote enough for me. But in this one! She played no games. Woo. Now I am just waiting for all my favs to drop these reactions. Let's go! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Sadly we won’t get another movie with this new cast for a while because of spyglass removing Melissa Barrera from the cast for posting about Supporting Palestine on instagram and after that happened the whole cast left
I think it would be so cool if Mindy eventually became one of the killers. I mean the quote Kirby said “I wanted the monsters to be afraid of me” could apply to her situation. Maybe she gets fed up being a stab cushion but never being there to save the day lol could be a cool concept 🤷🏻♀️

Love Scream 6. Chad truly fulfilling his Dewey prophecy in this movie with a fake out death and a romance with one of the leads. Sam is so good in this movie. Great reactions girl 💙
I enjoyed this movie. They changed up several things and made it much more fast paced, which I found enjoyable. Although the kills were a lot more vicious than I was expecting.

I think Scream 6 is better than the 5th one, even though the killer was obvious (the only one i missed was ethan because i was like he too cute to be a killer) and fun fact that i had missed time and time watching scream 5 is the kirby teaser when Richie is watching a commentary on Stab 8. Looooved Still Alive and it's been on a binge on my spotify, they don't only have a great soundtrack, they also have a great score

Remember when Mindy jokingly told Amber that she was the killer in 5, well, what if in 7 we find out that she's actually been behind everything since 5. The girl is always talking about being wrong about the killers, yeah right, I don't trust it. She knows literally everything about how horror movies work and she loves them......Almost every ghost face has been in love with horror/the Stab movies. Plus, that slash on her arm was small as hell and she acted like she lost the entire limb. Also, Chad's BEEN getting stabbed and now...he's a love interest. Never trust the love interest.

I just realized the two Ghostface killers were the same height when Chad died, this means it was detective Bailey and Ethan who did it and not quin and Ethan.

That ladder scene was dumb af. Why would they leave the most injured girl to be last? 😂 Both girls could have hold the door for the Asian check who was stabbed and I’m sure the next 2 girls had enough time to cross after 😂
Now I've had some push back on this, but, I still stand by it: They're really trying to make it seem like Sam is going to follow in Billy footsteps, put on the mask herself, and become Ghostface herself eventually. However, I think it's a misdirect. I think Tara might actually turn into Ghostface. Not sure why or what drove her to it... just that she will snap.
Some reasoning - other than the way that Tara seemed to REALLY enjoy the killing part, and her smile when she stabbed Ethan that showed her pure enjoyment, and how just savored it - SCREAM 2022 (5CREAM) is an homage to SCREAM (1996) with the primary mastermind killer being the love interest, and SCREAIVI is an homage to SCREAM 2 with the primary mastermind killer being a parent of the first primary killer. SO, wouldn't it reason for SC7EAM to be an homage to SCR3AM? WELL, in SCR3AM the killer was the half-sibling of the main final girl of the franchise. Sam IS THAT MAIN FINAL GIRL, not Tara. TARA... IS the HALF-SIBLING of Sam.
That would be not a bad idea. A total twist, considering how much they're building up for Sam to be the next Ghostface, but also keeping with the formula as you said.
I can't tell what would be more satisfying though. Whereas Scream 3's reveal was a total surprise, this one is too built up. It would be predictable. However, what they've implied in both movies is that Tara is the thing holding Sam back from going full crazy.
So my theory is, if not Sam actually becoming Ghostface, and having a final face off with Tara, something that could flip the entire series is Sam facing off with Tara, who is the real Ghostface, and now that Tara has become totally unhinged, it release Sam as well. Imagine a movie ending with the heroine living, because in the end she becomes the villain. It would be so different for Scream, and probably unrealistic, but it could cool.

YAAASSSS Loved this!! this movie has great re-watch factor even if the killers/motive was a little lacklustre, but the double knife wipe and Sam going in on Detective Bailey are franchise best moments for sure! I was soo hoping Sam would keep the make too, but like I said on twitter, it makes sense that she leaves it there, as Ghostface left a mask at each crime scene, so she officially a Ghostface!
