I think Eddie won WSM 2017 fair and square, but Thor has shown nothing but class and maturity in the lead up to this fight, whereas Eddie has been incredibly immature and has been disrespecting Thor at recent strongman events, where he has been invited to appear, and Thor wasn't there to answer back. Fortunately, he now has real ring experience against people who really tried to hit him hard.
I remember how Thor was shrinking his head between his shoulders like a turtle in his early footage, you could see he was afraid of getting hit in the face and this made his entire body stiff too.
I was doing the exact same thing in the beginning too and it greatly hindered my progress, during my first real match the first hit I took in the face made me forget 100% of my training and I lost miserably. There was that moment of shock when I got punched, I was thinking "oh shit, I got hit by an other human who was really trying to hurt me", I will never forget that feeling.
The good thing is that it's like losing your virginity, once you know what to expect and how you will feel, it becomes much less scary, then you get used to it and it becomes a part of the experience.

I was totally for Eddie to win initially... but now, having watched both of your channels since the fight was announced I have to say Hafthor that you have shown the world that you are a very genuine strong man inside and outside. I now want both of you to win, so maybe a draw and then a second decider with you both having to lift 600kg. Okay maybe asking too much haha. Seriously, for me the real winner will be decided with how the winner and loser of the fight behave afterwards. If Eddie doesn’t show humility I think ironically he’ll swap roles and he’ll be the one people start to shun due to a result. I wish you both a good fight and hope you come out of it safely. @@rmmm6725 Well, what do you expect from a man of his size? Im a martial artist myself and Thor´s speed for his size is actually pretty good, of course he wont be the fastest, do you even understand how big this dude is? Do you even understand physics? Eddie is only explosive and fast and thats it, Thors technique is much better in comparison to Eddie´s, his guard is good, he keeps his hands up, he doesnt leave his chin too far out and he has good straight punches, unlike Eddie whos doing almost everything wrong. Consider this: Thor is like what? 33 years old, hes done strongman, powerlifting and acting and hes been almost world class in all of these, I think you have no idea how hard it is to pick up boxing as an adult, ESPECIALLY when you have been in so many other fields like Thor and if you consider this then you can clearly say that his boxing skills are solid, of course not of a pro fighter, the guy is only boxing seriously for like 2 years, your expectations are unrealistic and you probably dont even have much boxing experience, judging by your bad judgement. Thor could of course do some things better but its much easier judging people behind a screen, especially judging someone so harshly whos only trained 2 years of boxing seriously, get real man

And as a result you’ve made unbelievable improvements from where you first started! Fair play. Eddie on the other hand is a cringey egomaniac who hasn’t done a single thing I’ve been impressed with. Coach looks terrible and has only recently had a variety of sparring partners by the looks of it. And it shows in his horrible technique and lack of improvement to where he was 2 years ago. That being said he’s still a big lump who hits hard so it’s still anyones game but I lean to Thor as long as he stays smart to break Eddie down and force the stoppage.
