its a giben that people like gambling here, but a big part of the casinos in the east is their proximity to turkey, some companies even offer free shuttles to get them to the casinos

Behind the Varna cathedral to the left there is a cheap street food place. Always look for the ones showing it exposed and only in Bulgarian. Yes, smoking is a habit in all the Balkans.

Drink prices seem excessive?
Yes! 👍It depends what you buy there! Bulgarian beer is very cheap! Known spirits as the same price as in the North of England! Maybe check out my other tours for prices if you Subscribe @ Travel with Col
This is only 300 meters and not much to do at this location🤷 you should have gone from where you were the opposite direction 300 meters and you end up at the beach, 3-4 kilometers strip where all the restaurants and clubs are at! Once you are there if you go right, along the beach, you end up at the sea port, that's where there is another 1-2 square kilometers of bars, clubs and places to eat. If you go left, you walk on the strip, 3-4 kilometers, along the beach with plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs. Basically where you were is only the gateway to where it all starts with night life in Varna😉🤘
