@travelwithcol4625 yeah mate it was from the warsaw central station. It wasn't even the money it was more the fact that I'd been taken advantage of (or 'had' as we call it in Australia)

How many KM did you travel for the 80 euros 💶? Sounds shocking .. there is an App called Bolt for Cheap Taxis in Poland

@travelwithcol4625 literally 2.5km! His meter said 80zl then when he finished the trip suddenly its 347zl according to him. He wouldn't let me take the suitcases unless I paid. Absolute scamming criminal.

@davidlp3019 that’s Day Light Robbery! Was he Polish ? Do the Taxi have a Label on it with a company name ? Or just a normal car .. I wonder if it had a polish registration plate ? Most of the Taxi drivers are foreigners in Warsaw

Unfortunately today they asked me for Cash. Many stalls do take card and some don’t, I was at the Christmas decorations one and it was Cash only today! I go there every day because I live here and I have to Advertise my Day Trips to the Tourists there, some days they say that the card machine is not working so Cash Only so they can make some Tax Free $ , don’t blame them! was it your first time in Poland ? @ I was with my Polish friend and not once were we asked for cash. It was my first time in Poland. Krakow was great, we did the market at night and activities in the day, yes I would go again but my friend (who lives in England) wants me to go to Gdansk next year to her hometown. I try to go to different places each year x

@abbiwells6841 Yes in almost all the Bars in Krakow you can pay card! Although used to go to a few pubs that were Cheap and they were cash only! Many of the stalls inside the Cloth hall market are also Cash. I’m just telling people to bring some cash incase they need it. Have you visited any other Polish cities? I have no problem with Sales people but I don’t approve of the Scammers who push Tourists into dodgy Clubs and then the Tourists get robbed , sales people who sell legit products are fine! Like here in Krakow we have the Strip Club Scam where people get approached Late at Night when they are under the influence of alcohol and persuaded to go into a Gentleman’s club where they get robbed. The Taxi Driver is Sicily see Tourists as being naive and they charge a Fortune, you need to Negotiate.. have you been to Sicily Nora ?

No it Did Not! It had an old fashioned bathroom! When you go to Italy unless you are at the really Top class hotels then Toilets are often Old Fashioned types and you have to put the toilet paper in the bin and Not into the toilet! The bin is for the tissues after you wipe your bum so it can be really Sickening! There was No Bidet. The Standard of accommodation is Sicily is very poor quality for what you pay, poor value for money compared to other Sunny Destinations. I stayed in 3 star hotels in Sicily that were the standard of hostels. To stay at a 3 star branded hotel such a B&B hotel in Catania Costs £100-150 per night depending on the season, in April it’s £120 per night , just a basic hotel

You made some good points Christian!! I was in Syracuse 2 weeks ago and Yes it is Dump! 😂 I checked out after 1 night! I was travelling around Sicily just now for 2 weeks and I had sun every day.. weather is crap? Do you mean because from May to Oct it’s too Hot and Humid? Did you visit any other cities in Sicily ? Which was the worst? And which was the Best?

@ Wroclaw has many more things to entertain people. Mire of a carnival

Sorry about the cut off. Wroclaw is more of a carnival atmosphere with rides way better decorated booths and just a larger market. Warsaw market are again better atmosphere with better products. I was surprised that Krakow didn’t use both sides of the huge square. Add more entertainment. Don’t get me wrong we love Krakow just not our favorite market.
