Wahhhh this was the JUICIEST!!! It was an absolute joy to watch this tour, and I am particularly in love with the waterville landscape & bus sketches, the cliffs of moher fineline with all of the swatching and patterns, Lucy at ross castle, and the moll's gap landscape!

I am a huge fan of your work, always beautiful always inspiring 🤩 what makes this video even more special is that I just returned from an Ireland/London trip last night- same places too: Dublin, Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Kensington/greater London. Seeing all of these sketches was like seeing my own trip- totally freaky in the best possible way!! lol. Truly amazing trip, all of it!! I think I would’ve just flipped out completely if I had seen you there!!!! lol. I think our travel timelines were literally maybe days apart- unbelievable 😊

I got my first Stillman & Birn sketchbook Zeta series! so, so excited and a full set of Neocolor IIs are arriving in a few days; so, so excited..a few tombows to try, and my first daniel smith watercolors and some winsor & newton cotman watercolors. Visited the Dick BLICK art store in person in the U.S. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the first time with my best friend, Janet, and we went on an art shopping spree!! I was inspired by your fabulous trip! Oh wow, this sketchbook is a treasure trove! Every spread is so beautiful 😍 I'm actually about to embark on a 2 week European trip (Copenhagen, various places in Croatia, and Zurich) and this is definitely something I want to do to capture the memories.

Aw, Sophieeeeeeeeee this was amazing🤩 I couldn’t wait to have a nice lazy Saturday morning to sit in my jammies and watch with a cuppa coffee before the chaos of the rest of day took hold of me🫢 I could leave a super long comment about every single gorgeous page and your cute little nose whistle (still cracks me up that you highlight those😙👃🏽) I love that you overpacked the supplies and basically only used markers and watercolors. Don’t we all do this? Your landscapes are so incredible and magical, the way you capture light and shadows and how they’re realistic yet still 100% in your unique style.
I still can’t get over that you have NO bumble bees? How? What? Why? Who is pollinating Australia’s plants? Do have swarms of butterflies and hummingbirds to do the job? How are they in Tazmania but not in AU? I can’t stop thinking about this😂Also, if you and Lucy want to come over and play at my house I have so many squirrels of all different sizes and colors in my yard and I feed them and the birds (and the raccoons and the possums😂) everyday. They’re my backyard buddies😉Toodles👋❤
We have tonnes of other pollinating bees!!! HEAPS! Hahaha and butterflies! We just don’t have the bumble bee species. The bumbles were introduced in Tasmania and aren’t great for the ecosystem, they cause issues for the native bees.

I also get motion sickness, I've found that Dramamine, ginger, and peppermints have been life savers! The colors and textures make me giddy, such a fun travel sketchbook!!
Believe me, I’ve tried it all! Ginger is my favourite for sure though! Simple is often best!!!

@@SophieMcPike Aw, I feel for you! One last thing (maybe it'll help you or another internet yucky tummy queen)...I noticed I get even more nauseated if I take Dramamine with Zyrtec. Apparently, you aren't supposed to mix it with antihistamines or sedatives. I'm glad you felt better the other days and could make lovely art! Always a pleasure to take a peek in your sketchbook. 🌈✨🍀

That little blue case is a non brand cheap thing. But if you google small empty palettes you might find something similar
