Galu, a Lond Daer script where rebuilding an ancient numenorean building in it since it was an ancient numenorean haven would be really cool. Like a script or something where in conquering lond daer and rebuilding some ancient barracks gives you a numenorean style unit
I always thought that Lond Daer wasnt special enough for being the first permanent Numenorian settlement. I always thought that there should be an adittional level of Port or something considering that it is literally called "Great Haven".
Why would they get a "Numenorean Unit"? What Numenorean would fight for them? Why would the warriors fight in the Numenorean style? Also... the Enedwaithrim hate Numenoreans for deforesting their lands. Can you Numenor fanbois just stop, for once?! 🤣

A good script for wildmen factions, if you are going to work on them, would be a script that allows them to steal the better technology from their defeated enemies. So if you defeat, say, Gondor you could obtain some knowledge of stoneworking and thus allow you to build a higher level of settlement. I know Enedwaith is supposed to be Neutral, but I loathe them now because of an event in my first ever campaign. While playing as the Northern Dunedain I allied to them and we actively campaigned together against the Dunlendings. Once that threat was dealt with, they started trying to pick territory off of Bree, so I tore into them with a vengeance. But they had allied to the High Elves without me noticing and the HE sided with Enedwaith over me. I was the aggressor technically since I was responding to an attack on Bree and not on myself. Elrond committed immediately to a Kamikaze attack on the nearest Dunedain village. It was lightly garrisoned, but I'm the PC, so I had to revert to a save previous to my having killed my father-in-law/member of the White Council in good standing while playing as a good faction. Now I just preemptively wipe out Enedwaith anytime I'm west of the Misty Mountains. All the sea trade from those coastal towns is wasted on those barbarous savages anyway.
Also, if I'm interpreting it correctly, you get full benefits from the Fisheries when you conquer Enedwaith. They're just rebels keeping the central western coast warm until you settle it and who then sell you fish.

Hello Galu, i have an suggestion for a video. Guilds - what do you do to get them. You can read it in the export_descr_guilds.txt file, but it would be really neat to talk briefly about the requirements (buildings, training etc.)
Suggestion: It would be a cool reward for choosing good/evil if you were awarded the ability to recruit unique units from other factions if you take a specific city. Eg; choose good, take Isengard, recruit Orthanc Sentries. Thoughts??
Does it make sense when a certain unit has a "hide anywhere" ability it should be able to hide anywhere on the campaign map as well (on condition the army consists only of units with that trait)?
1. I absolutely love Enedwaith, one of my favourite factions. 2. River elders need some love. The 10 attack on the jav is fine, but because it's not AP, it's just worse then the one of angren raiders. 8 AP is so much better then 10 normal, especially when you consider that the primary purpose of javelin units is to dispose of units you cant defeat hand to hand. Something has 12 armor + shield? 8 AP will have 60% chance to kill, while 10 normal around 45%. When you consider that there are fewer elders in a unit, they are probably the worst javelin unit of enedwaith. I know they are kinda useful as spearmen, but 7/15 wont win you anything. I consistently get more kills with greyflood raiders, since there is 203 of them and have 6 missiles instead of 5 of elders. 3. Guardians of Enedwaith no longer seem to have their special piercing javelin? From what I've seen, their javelins behave just like common AP.
i wish there is a script for the wild men to upgrade their tech and get either new buildings and units if you conquer some of the civilized factions. for example you take out gondor as enedweith or isenguard as dunland and steal their tech.
Playing the faction game: Hopefully unlike last time I don't mistake the giant hint unit and mess up. Gonna bet those are Ents, and this is Lothlorien? (Perhaps with the unit they get from their diplomacy script from the Woodland Realm?) And we are 0/2 here, guess both Lothlorien and the Woodland Realm can get Ents, TIL. Oh well, its basically the same faction.
Funnel every eryn vorn woodsmen to an advanced blacksmith and all of a sudden you have a halberd unit with 215 men, all of which have 7 armor, and the upkeep of 150. Super cheap and effective backbone for an army. Also enedwaith hunters are super good because they are incredibly cheap, have 190 men in a unit, but also AVERAGE accuracy. It is so easy to chug out hunters so from my experience you will destroy everyone.
would be cool if enedwaith had a choice that either gave them a more solid infantry backbone, or to choose a more maritimal path and get some sort of marineers/pirates and a better ship, so you could go raid !
I think Enedwaith should get a higher tier armor piercing strike unit on top of the Greyflood Axemen, the Minhiriath Warriors are a really fun unit but really lacking if you ever have to go up against really anyone other than Bree. I am firmly of the belief that Ened Waith should be one of worst factions in the game that requires sly gameplay. The armor piercing generals are useful but having another armor piercing unit would just give you another option to try to trick your opponents with. Even if it's just a second tier unit. I love Ened Waith, they're absolutely my favorite faction in the game (that I've played at least, still a good chance they're my favorite overall)
@@ilari90 I was thinking about it and I think it would nice to have the Greyflood Raiders be bumped up in stats a little bit to about a 10-9 and have a trash level lumbermen unit like the Dalesmen to fill in at the militia level of units.
Also, with River Elders stats vs Moot Keepers stats it's always better to have a river elder with ranged attack that kills 50-100 enemies before contact and anti cav spears vs moot keeper with 1-2 more attack and defense
Hey guys, Im a little bit of a DaC noob, so if someone could tell me: What do general stats (command, renown, loyalty, acumen, so 1 more of X gives what of Y) actually do? For example, i dont see a way to bribe generals so whats the point of a higher loyalty? Second, with regards to experience chevrons, is there a point in ranking a unit up from 7 (Gold I) to 9 (Gold III)? I dont see any stat changes, but maybe there is something im missing. Edit: and what does terrain bonus actually do for a unit? Does it impact combat effectiveness/morale and to what extent?
Command makes your generals perform better in auto-resolve and possibly make your units fight better, not sure about that one. Renown reduces unrest in the settlement the general is in, as well as increasing population growth Acumen increases the settlement's income Loyalty doesn't do anything, generals cannot betray you nor be bribed. It's just for flavor There's no difference between 7 and 9 chevrons, other than the experience loss when you merge it with other units I think(?) terrain gives you a tiny morale bonus. It's a pretty minor feature and you can safely ignore it
@@gaiusjuliuscaesar8450 Terrain is a quite big thing as you tire really easily in terrain malus places even when walking. Acumen lowers also the corruption of the settlement. Command gives morale bonus to troops. Loyalty can affect corruption too. Chevrons may give more morale in those 7 to 9 tiers, also there's a risk that if a unit gets damaged, it may lose some chevrons so it protects against that too.
@@ilari90 Thanks for the addendum, although I have to ask exactly how do you know if loyalty increases corruption? I remember Galu saying that loyalty had no effect other than flavor

(Perhaps with the unit they get from their diplomacy script from the Woodland Realm?)
And we are 0/2 here, guess both Lothlorien and the Woodland Realm can get Ents, TIL. Oh well, its basically the same faction.
Hi galu, I'm assuming that v5 won't be compatible with existing saved games
Lets be clear here. Enedwaith is the hardest To Play faction in the Late Game imo.
Spam Angren Raiders, they are much better than some axemen. They are good through the game, and shred even elite gondorian units easily.
@@ilari90 I was thinking about it and I think it would nice to have the Greyflood Raiders be bumped up in stats a little bit to about a 10-9 and have a trash level lumbermen unit like the Dalesmen to fill in at the militia level of units.
Bro,Now Enedwaith V5 have different roster,right?
Lol I literally just started a campaign with these guys a few days ago
Eryn Vorn aren't halberdiers, they are normal spearmen without shield, they have schiltrom. Greyflood Riders are same tier as river scouts.
Also, with River Elders stats vs Moot Keepers stats it's always better to have a river elder with ranged attack that kills 50-100 enemies before contact and anti cav spears vs moot keeper with 1-2 more attack and defense
what about the chariots?!
I forgot didnt I. Sorry!
Hey guys, Im a little bit of a DaC noob, so if someone could tell me:
What do general stats (command, renown, loyalty, acumen, so 1 more of X gives what of Y) actually do? For example, i dont see a way to bribe generals so whats the point of a higher loyalty?
Second, with regards to experience chevrons, is there a point in ranking a unit up from 7 (Gold I) to 9 (Gold III)? I dont see any stat changes, but maybe there is something im missing.
Edit: and what does terrain bonus actually do for a unit? Does it impact combat effectiveness/morale and to what extent?
Command makes your generals perform better in auto-resolve and possibly make your units fight better, not sure about that one.
Renown reduces unrest in the settlement the general is in, as well as increasing population growth
Acumen increases the settlement's income
Loyalty doesn't do anything, generals cannot betray you nor be bribed. It's just for flavor
There's no difference between 7 and 9 chevrons, other than the experience loss when you merge it with other units
I think(?) terrain gives you a tiny morale bonus.
Some event with the men of dunharrow could be cool. Give enedwaith or dunland a boost for late game.
Wow yayyyyy the only faction that i know so much about PLS JUS GIVE ME MORDOR PLS PLS PLS
Playing as the Woodland Realm now actually - cannot wait for the next vid to see how wrongly I've been using them haha (Dol Guldur not that difficult actually as I rushed them pretty hard right from the start. Gundabad, however .... good God they need a nerf).
Omg out of all the factions I thought emdweath would be the vaunted 4 difficulty. No faction is difficult 😅
Honestly the woodland realm needs an archer buff because apparently they are the “best archer nation” and statistically no they are not, the hin-e-daur need a huge buff too
Yes, they are the best archers. No, Hin e-Daur do not need a buff.
Hummingbird as someone who only plays the elven factions the other two outclass the woodland realm
@@jacksonperez5615 In archery, in 4.5? They do not.
Hummingbird I understand your one of the devs but I just disagree
@@jacksonperez5615 I mean, you're free to disagree... but numbers don't lie. WR archers have superiour range and damage to High Elf archers and a higher unit size to that of Lothlorien so they fire more arrows per volley. That's just fact.
I miss you
Holy shit 9 seconds ago. Nice.
I dare to say that Enedwaith is the least played faction .
Anduin maybe?
@@danisrusski6297 I would say top 3 least played with Dunland perhaps.
An absolute shame, their campaign and playstyle are quite enjoyable. Probably down there with Anduin, Moria and Dunland
hi Galu, i'm not sure if other forest textures are available, but in the middle ages it was very common to 'Coppice' or "pollard' woods- maybe you could use one of those for 'the woods harvested by the Numenoreans'?
ruclips.net/video/zVPUFMwm73Y/видео.html - here's the video where I learned about it.
Funny stuff happened wheno tested out enedwaiths power i killed dunalnd weakened isengard si rohan coild kill it (( they fidnt becuase it was turm 123 and isengard was pumping out elites)) so i went to fight in derwath to my surprise king theodred was therr fighting mootlord urdrek and it was kinda funny science the portrait is the same
