I’m from Nz, bought the car 10 days ago. Fuel economy 6.1L average, lowest was 4.8L and current mileage: 450Km covered by depleting half fuel tank ( Petrol 95). The only 2things I don’t like is emergency lane assist and excessive body roll at 140kmph. It’s a great value for money though 😃
@@MrPigwoods I disagree with this, I am seeing such comments but I have kept it off for days and it stays off. Every time I turn it on based on my motorway traveling requirements only.

Hello, We bought new GWM Haval H6 HEV model in Thailand few days back. Car not starting at all. Symptoms: 1. Engine not cranking 2. No display on dashboard and infotainment screen (Nothing seen on screen, its complete shutdown) 3. Able to lock and unlock vehicle using remote key (but lights not flashing during lock and unlock as expected) 4. EPB, headlights, wipers, AC able to turn ON & OFF manually
Checks done so far: 1. Measured battery voltage 11.8V (confirmed as normal) 2. Checked all fuses and relays (normal) 3. Disconnected main battery from vehicle line overnight and connected back (No change in behavior) 4. Tried jump start with other powerful battery from local technician (No change in behavior) 5. Tried by keeping the intelligent key above the mark in front armrest storage case (No change in behavior) Before this issue observed, we disconnected ADAS camera from vehicle. Vehicle Ignition turned ON once and checked functionality (worked normal) after that Ignition turned off manually. After few minutes, we tried to turn ON the Ignition, but no response from vehicle even after connecting back the ADAS camera. Please suggest what steps we can follow to solve the issue.
Love my HEV but there is a lot of power running through the front wheels. Have to careful taking off at speed in the wet - the power takes over the steering.
Hi Greg a question - I have ordered this car in South Australia - what is the petrol Octane required 91, 95 or 98 - dumb question - but seeing posts and descriptions that include all those? Thanks so much great review and one I used as my final decision making one. Demo drive was just as you describe.
I am in New Zealand, and we have 91, 95 and 98 as well, at the beginning, I use 91, the full tank is 60lt can easily travel 800km in town (I believe I only used 50 - 55lt because there is still enough petrol in the tank to let me drive to the petrol station), my technician friend suggested I try out 95, which easily travel 900km at the same condition, the 95 is about 20c dear than 91 though (my friend owns the petrol station🤣)
That's a very bold change... I can't really talk to the resale value as yet. But with the warranty and upward trojectory of Haval i don't see it doing too badly.
Resale for a hybrid isn’t bad anyway! I do own Haval h6 hybrid , use it everyday in suburban and can cover a range of 850-950km. Bought 3 months ago - still haven’t refuelled it. Pretty good fuel efficiency to me. To be honest, I will sell this car after 3 years for a good deal and go after the latest from Haval. Look out for latest Haval h6 hybrid GT.
People speak about the total power output and total torque. Are these delivered simultaneously? I mean, when the electric motor is off, do you still get anything from it and vice versa?
@@GregDennisReviews Thanks. Lack of bass is acceptable. It's when muffled bad clarity sounds that's problematic. Lots of Harmon systems in Japanese and Korean cars sound really bad. I will buy the H6 hyrbid in 2023. Already have a RAV4 hybrid. Cheers
These tubeless tires rarely get flat while rolling, the car will issue several (early) warnings for low pressure, and even if you ignore the warnings you still have a compressor with a fix to get you home... So I prefer the free space on the trunk 😊
@GregDennisReviews- What is your avg fuel consumption on long distance highway driving, I am considering this vehicle however coming from a BMW X1 18d I am concerned about the fuel consumption especially on highway long trips
I think it’ll be difficult to beat that diesel on on fuel consumption doing long trips. This is more designed to save fuel on short distance driving, but it does also kick in when coasting on the highway. Look at about 6.5L - 7L realistically.
No spare tyre and not 4WD worried me too, but it will mostly be used in or between towns. I have already got a nail on the tyre, and the warning message takes me to the garage, 20 minutes 10.00 bucks.
Can anyone here give an indication as to how the HEV would tow a trailer? I have a 6-foot Venter trailer and wondering whether the torque that the electrical motor provides will help at towing speeds
@@GregDennisReviews Thanks for the feedback. EVs are still a mystery to me. I know that 530Nm is more than ample as my X6 had 400Nm and towed exceptionally well. I just didn't know whether the electrical motor produces that power while towing at, say, 120km/h. I thought it may only be available at pull-aways. Thanks again
