The unique, uncompromisingly raw Irish brogue of Lisa O'Neill's voice is going to challenge a few people's singer songwriter perceptions & perhaps even cause a few arguments. Couple her keen eyed, poetic reflections on nature & the human condition with some of Ireland's finest musicians celebrating folk tradition with aplomb and adding a dash of cinematic grandeur when they see fit, & her new LP for Rough Trade is quite the ride.
