I made the cornbread yesterday with 1/4 c. of sugar. I had a slice with butter right out of the bread machine. It was delicious. I'm serving it today with collard greens and mac and cheese. Thank you for the recipe.
Followed your recipe with an added 1/2 cup corn kernels. It baked kind of still soft so I baked it for an extra 40 minutes. It turned out delicious! Don’t even need to add honey or butter. Love all your videos on the Cuisinart bread maker.
Made it last night, but used the "Pearl Mill self-rising white cornmeal" as it already contains the salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Also added ~1 tbsp of honey, and subbed out the sugar for 1/2 cup of 50-50 Splenda/sugar blend. Turned out absolutely fantastic! Thank you good sir :-)
Awwww! I didn't even see those UNTIL I read your comment! lol So CUTE....but I would be so afraid they might fall. ADORABLE bunnies! You have a sharp eyes!
Thank you so much for sharing the delicious recipe video I found all your instructions, but instead of using the ultra fast cycle, I used the sweet cycle. I also added a tablespoon of vanilla, and when I was the time to add more ingredients, I added one cup of corn.
WOW - I just ordered this breadmaker, partially based on your earlier video review of the Cusinart. It isn't arriving for a couple of days, but definately going to give this recipe a try - we love cornbread! I have subscribed to your channel and thank you for the recipe. Best Wishes for a Happy New Year from Canada :)
I made it in the bread maker but I'll probably use the oven next time. edges are hard and I prefer soft cornbread 😋🌽 (I'm glad I used light crust or it would've bn worse...)
You don't have to use the full amount of sugar, I have tried it with 1/2 a cup of sugar it was just fine. I don't believe it will make a difference in texture going to 1/4
I just tried this recipe. Not good! I ended up with a puddle of goop in the center of the bread. I left the butter at room temperature for over an hour but it needs to be totally melted butter. I kept watching the mixing paddle stirring the butter in a chunk and wondered at the time if it was going to melt. It didn’t until it was too late. I’ll try it again, but with melted butter this time.
Hi Randy sorry you had trouble with it. Just be careful with the butter. It really should just be super soft. If you use warm or hot melted butter it will seep out during the rising and baking process and the outer layer of the cornbread touching the pan will char and crisp up. Hope this helps
Mr Bread Baker it worked! Delicious and the little lady said she could eat only cornbread for dinner. Great job on the video. Easy to understand and great nap while the machine did everything else. I did cut the sugar to 1/2 cup. Thanks for making the video. Randy.
@@beemor2 fantastic!!! So glad you liked it an it worked out 😃 You’re right one of the benefits of the machine is you get to relax while it does all the work

Thanks so much Marguerite, now we know you can go that low with the sugar and still get a fantastic cornbread. Thanks for letting us know!!!

I'm getting this machine and bake for someone gluten free so I'll try it with gluten free flour. Hope it works.
Good luck!!! I hope everything turns out great
have you made it with gluten-free flour?
Can this recipe be made in any bread maker I have the Bella Pro Series bread maker
Can you substitute the baking soda and powder for a little bit of yeast
So I tried this and the center of the bread was mush. Any suggestions?
Hi, why use ultra-fast as opposed to the cake setting?
Thanks!
Hi chef! I tried this recipe on the same machine and followed directions exactly to the T. But it didn't cook inside!!😞 Any suggestions?!
Perhaps your milk was too cold?
I don't want to use 1 c. of sugar. Can I reduce the sugar to 1/4 c.?

no yeast?
No you won’t need it for this recipe
I have a stroke and I would like a favor from you, can you say the ingredients and instructions?
You left out the rapid rise yeast. I also ended up with a pile of goop in the middle. It all went in the garbage very disappointed.

Mr Bread Baker oh no! 😬 I’ve got a new batch in now with melted butter. I’ve weighed everything else to the gram. 🤞🏻
@@beemor2 fingers crossed!!! Hopefully the butter wasn’t too hot. Let me know how it turns out please

A cup of sugar, sounds more like cake.
Sorry but your receipt for this bread is not good. Smells like something is wrong with bread..
have you made it with gluten-free flour?
I have tried it but it was not good unfortunately. still trying to figure it out
Sadly I just realized, I just finished baking in the bread machine, but the bread has no consistency :(
@@radhamurillo sorry about that, ya cornbread is a tricky one to make gluten free
