They sound badass. Think 351 Windsor on steroids. Badass motor for sure. All the coyote fanboys get butthurt anytime someone goes godzilla over coyote and start talking about how the coyote can make x hp with just boost stock motor blah blah the same shit we already know. They never mention how much torque they're making tho I wonder why that is? This engine is a totally different experience and the character may actually fit a fox better being that it's a pushrod.
Wow! A simple blue collar Godzilla kit! Awesome! Wait🤔 $12k for motor, cooling, k-member, etc and no trans 😳🙄 That’s a different color collar, my friend.
Huh? You don’t have 12k in the bank? That’s pretty much an average person’s monthly expenses these days bro. Sorry you’re broke but don’t attack people. I’m pissed we didn’t get to see a pull…. You’re pissed bc you’re broke 😂
@@thecrazyfamily3635 Attack? Broke? What are you talking about? You do realize I’m not attacking and you are. Also, I was pointing out that the expense is not “blue collar”. The average of $12k/month in expenses is $144k/yr which is foolish. You’re saying the average person makes $200k/yr. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You’re a fool. When you grow up, you’ll understand what adults are saying. As far as my income, it exceeds $200k/yr by double.
I have watched their videos, truly great information, even usable for other swaps beside foxbodies, like older F150 trucks. Love the video content, keep this stuff coming.
This would be a lot more appealing in a small car like a Fox if the engine costed significantly less than a Coyote, being a less complex design. I don't think it's worked out that way so far. Prohibitively expensive, just like the Coyote. As it stands now, I'd only really put one in a car that would have come with a big block like, say a '71 Cyclone. And only if I had a money tree, obviously.
I have used several of LMR Tutorials, very well done. I would be interested to know the true advantages to a Godzilla Swap as opposed to a Coyote Swap.
@@Brock_Landers I mean are folks doing it just to say they can do it (which is cool, for sure) or are there some real tangible reasons to go Godzilla over Coyote, I mean I can't afford either at the moment but inquiring minds want to know...or it could be the weed cookie I just ate....
I’m curious because I got a team z kmember for free and it happens to be an ls swap k member which is a bummer so I’m trying to sell it. I noticed the Godzilla motor mounts are similar looking to the ls mounts. Would those bolt up to a 2v 4.6??
I've never even seen a 7.3 Godzilla in anything, but the stock specs are 430 HP and 475 lb ft. The newest iteration of the Coyote is 460 HP and 420 lb ft. Granted, the 7.3 makes more torque and at a lower RPM, but what's the real upside? I'm not bashing anything or anyone, I'm just asking what the mindset is when deciding between the two engines? I mean, I really think that the Coyote is the way to go. I'd really like to see two identical Fox bodies, one with a Godzilla, and one with a Coyote with basic mods (intake, header, exhaust) run down the quarter mile. Then, I'd like to supercharge them both with basically the same spec kit and see how they match up. I realize that the Coyote is a VERY common swap by now and just like the LS, it's getting old to see a Coyote under the hood of anything, but it's a well-proven engine that is capable of some crazy numbers, but is it really worth the premium to say that you've got a 7.3 swapped Fox body? I don't know, but I'd sure love to see one in person...and better yet, drive it. I think it's awesome if you can afford to throw caution to the wind...and your cash. Meanwhile I'm stuck with a 25 year old Honda Civic that makes a measly 709 wheel horsepower and runs 9s. What do I know about Ford anything?
Torque is what gets you off the line. With the coyote making 30 more horses up top, will it make it come around the Godzilla? Like you stated, a comparison is in order. I guess it just depends on the overall cost.
There are videos of Brian Wolfe getting I think around 500 with a tune and with a throttle body swap will make more than that. From what I’ve seen the main restriction is the intake because it’s a truck intake meant for low end torque not necessarily horsepower.
The real upside is it sounds better, it has alot more torque especially down low it isn't always just about peak numbers. It has tons of displacement and you can punch it out even larger. They can make big power pretty easy as well it's just a totally different experience. Different character. It makes so much more torque than a coyote at street driven rpms its not even funny. A gen 3 coyote is gonna cost more money than a godzilla from what I've seen. Not everyone wants a coyote I know it's a shocker but it's not the answer for every person and every build. Some people like to actually be different as well. I can Def see why someone would go this route ecsp in a car that was pushrod from the factory it keeps that original old school feel.
@@jimmyvinsonhaler1653 people don't realize this thing is in truck trim making that kind of power not full blown 12:1 compression 7500 rpm mustang trim. There is a couple good intake options now that allow it to fit in cars easier those intakes ported with a healthy cam and springs is gonna make some nasty power and torque. They can make a ton of power. They make power totally different ways everyone always compares stock vs stock who cares about stock? Lol. 99% of people are going to mod them intake cam springs boost etc. It's gonna make big power and more important big torque not to mention it sounds like a 351 Windsor on steroids so it wins the sound competition too.
Love the Godzilla content! 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸. Also sad though how many haters it brings out. This is obviously a Godzilla video, but many(maybe most) of the comments are negative from coyote fans. I’d expect it from LS fans, but surprised it’s all coyote fans that don’t like the Godzilla. We don’t all have to like the same engines, but there is no denying the Godzilla has tons of potential. If they continue to build the Godzilla in large numbers and particularly if they make an aluminum, more performance oriented version, I think it will have a long and very successful life as a great performance engine platform. I’ve been a Ford fan my entire life, and I personally don’t like the mod motor/coyote platform at all. I know it has tons of potential itself, but I’ve never been a fan because of its 90 degree cylinder bank angle and huge overhead cam heads make it physically gigantic. But despite is huge external size, the tiny bore spacing limits it to 5.2 liters displacement. I’d love the coyote if it had enough bore spacing for 7 liters but unfortunately it doesn’t. That’s not a problem you can fix. It will always be physically huge with limited displacement. Again, I’d love to have dual overhead cams with large displacement but that’s not an option with the coyote. So, I’ll settle for a cam in block design with large displacement like the Godzilla any day over the coyote. That’s my personally opinion but most forms of big horsepower drag racing are still dominated by large displacement pushrod engines. Again, my opinion but it’s a positive one of the Godzilla which is obviously the topic of the video. You won’t see me commenting negatively about the coyote on every coyote video I can find. But for some unfortunate reason, that seems to be the case on Godzilla videos, coyote fans making negative comment after negative comment.

How do you alleviate the fox bodies awful steering? I remember them with the old 5.0 and they don’t turn above like 35 mph, just “plow”. Can’t imagine that heavier block in there.. must be a ball to steer.
There’s a bunch of ways! First off is deleting the rag joint and going to universal joints on the steering shaft. Second is a modern coilover setup. Third is bump steer correction as well as a stiffer aftermarket subframe with revised mounting points. Maximum motorsports pretty much exists as a company to try to get these cars to turn corners better. I also wonder how much heavier a Godzilla really is because it has an aluminum block and heads compared to a small block made of all iron.
