The coyote is a monster though. They eat boost all day without care and on the untouched internals are capable of well Into high 9 low 8 numbers. Coyote isn't anything to sleep on

Yes, we added it after the second test session . It’s night and day better with it. We needed a solution to work with the tail pipes and I’m really impressed

Cage, No Cert. But was 8.50 Type, No Window Net, And No Comp. Licence. This was probably around 10 Years Ago, I'm sure it Tightened up there. I remember going few times like that, even Track Rental days.
Cleetus McFarland just put a godzilla in a fox (all to destroy it in 2 days) with a stock bottom end, stout engine. I think they went 8.40s on 16 psi of boost. I think its good information to take in anyway, see the limitations.
Awesome! Seems like it could make more power on top end though. Sixty foots hard, 330’ is also very strong. I would expect to see more like 134 or 135 mph though. How did the fuel supply look in high gear?
Seems like you could tighten up your suspension a decent bit and pick up some 60ft time. Just seems like a lot of wasted energy with the car bobbing so hard.
@@ranware2779 you can suck the air in from the rear of the cowl scoop and run a hood at the track without starving the motor for air or buy a very expensive aftermarket intake that the throttle body points down instead of up. LS motors intakes can bolt in front or rear facing, it doesn’t matter what way the air comes from front back sides
@@ranware2779 Hood configurations as XOZ Industries pointed out, as well as piping when power adders are installed. Sometimes it’s just easier or makes a cleaner engine bay to have the throttle body at the rear.
I wonder what modifications would be needed to put a Godzilla/C4 into my 71 Maverick with keeping the shock towers only because I already bought suspension and brakes for it. I'm in CT wana do the swap for me 😂
351W/410” engine is lighter which means the car actually goes around a corner at speed and lo and behold it will make just as much power as this “godzilla” engine and you won’t have to alter your shock towers as this combination will literally drop right in

So a 3-speed auto "C4" that gets into "second gear" a second and a half into a 3-second "burnout" ALSO and ONLY gets into "second gear" during a "9 second" so-called "quarter mile" behind a "cam only" so-called "big-block"? What the hell is "third gear" for? Bonneville? What a bunch of bullshit. A "C4" in a 3200+ lb. "drag car" with a "big-block" that can't even "flash" the converter past maybe 3500-4000 rpm and has a high enough rear gear it doesn't hit "3rd" in a "quarter mile" yet supposedly runs "9s" straight up and uncorrected and on a TRUE quarter-mile. You bet. That must be what? A 150 hp "cam swap"? As if.

I think this 7.3 is running pretty Damn Good, as is most of them i see. Ain't No Stock 351 Windsor Gonna go No where close to this fast !

I think the hemi and the ls need more clamping force by adding bolts. When you boost said engines there is a limit before head lift. Love the head flow #s but I'd like to see at least 5 bolts per hole.
@@jasonmillspaw6970 so you want a sbc then. It depends on your power goals and your tuning ability. Production ls stuff has been to 1500+ hp. Most don't get near that amount of power. But when they try they usually try on pump gas and hurt it. It's all about the fuel when making that kinda power.

A "record time" that doesn't include a reaction time. Hilarious. Especially when that "9" in "the quarter mile" is actually a 1000-foot time and a "corrected" one at that. That pile is a mid-11 car on its best day and actually "strip legal" with a hood and all the other safety equipment it doesn't have and would have to have to run a time trial much less actually race in actual competition on an actual race day with an "open track".

They make a different intake manifold now so the intake doesn't point up towards the hood it just points straight
We wanted to run 9’s with the stock intake but, we have an intake on order for our next round of tests
Glad to see that Ford ditched this upward pointing throttle body for a straight forward one. Now you can put the hood back on.
Hopefully we get our BTR intake soon, but going 9’s on the stock intake was cool

We have a cage, but no cert or window net . The car didn’t even make it down the shutdown before the track official told us we were done.

7.3 running high 9s that's a lot of money for high 9s. It's definitely nice to see an all blue oval setup. Maybe one day the 7.3 will match the ls.

Fuel is on point , but we are way over the peak power going thru the traps. Stock intake runs out at about 6k, we see 6800 out the back

We didn’t dyno it with the stock cam, but it makes 450 rwhp with the @callies 002 camshaft

The engine is still NA & we run an air filter on the street. This was done to make sure it ran 9’s with just a cam swap on pump gas
