we have to criteria, like student should must be passed for having grades, like if a person has 70% marks but is failed in one subject thn he cannot be give any grade, how to do this with vlookup
@@geniusworldteam The first parameter should be the cell to look up the values for, in this case, it is the previous column. But you have accidentally entered the selected cell. That's why it's wrong.
THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL..

Dear,
We can use OR statement to give marks, like if he fails in any subject then 0 will mark and then vlookup will remain same
You take Column index number 2 how and why ? I didn't understand please can you tell me please 🙂
We have taken it because we need Grades and Grades are in column 2. If we select Crierta table so Crierta is column 1 and Grades are column no 2
please,can you upload this file?
Dear,
We will surely make the file and let you know. So, you can get it.
@@geniusworldteam tnx
The lookup function either results in 0 or #N/A. Why does this keep happening?
It will occurs due to data is not available or not as per format
@@geniusworldteam I got it!!! Thank you so much!!!!!
U r worng 80 is B then 80.75 is how B
We have used formula that 80 or 80+ will get B grade.
80.75 also fall in 80+
first parameter is wrong
Thank you for your concern,
Kindly share the error, hopefully we can clarify

@sigma7208 We have used the Operators for percentage rather than % to apply the formula correctly, we have tested the formula in the last as well.
