A few quick tips on how to set stakes on the beach or in sand. A few other pictures from the NC Coast. Stakes can be a challenge to set on the beach especially if you have smaller and thinner stakes to work with.

My next Black Hat Bushcraft trick on the beach. Thank you for that useful and secure demonstration.
Thanks Matt good tip.Enjoy
Simple and straightforward, and didn't use half a cord of wood to accomplish. Thank you.
Great video; amazing how you were able to transpose your stake-skills to sand-terrain; I love it. I do believe you had the best-secured shelter out on that beach. It looks like you and your family had a great time together; thanks for sharing. Rich Blessings
Self-reliance works in any environment, thanks for sharing!

Black Hat Beachcraft….I said it and I stand by it awesome stuff brother enjoy the beach
Thx for video. U & ur family have a grt vacation
Thank you so much Robert! Blessings to you and yours as well.
Good to see you out having fun ! I find that small sandbag works well at the beach. Just fill , use, then dump. Trick the kids into filling them , lol.
Absolutely! I actually have some sand bags with this shelter but when I pulled it all out, somehow they got left behind. This was my best solution to improvise. Thank you for tuning in and sharing!
Great tip! Have a great vacation! God bless!
Thank you so much Jerry! It was a great couple of days!
very nice , thanks for the tip.
Thanks Matt good to know!
Thanks, Matt. 2 of my guy lines detached themselves in the night from the gravel beach I last camped on. I'll give this a shot next time!
Looks very relaxing! Enjoy!
Thank you so much Anthony!
Great tip.
Thank you so much James!
Awesome tip!!!!!
Thank you so much my friend!
Looks like a fun trip . Hope y’all have a blast. There are some good ways to anchor but they’re not bushcraft. Thanks for tip. Have a great evening
Thank you so much John!

@@blackhatbushcraft always brother! Thank you for all you do and taking the time to always get back to me. One of my favorite channels right here I've learned a ton
Gotta love it....!!!
Thank you so much for tuning in brother!!
I dont like the beach very much, but this is definitely a useful video.
Awesome little tip. Wish I'd known this a long time ago. At least I know it for the future. I thought your ending title was cool too. You should keep it.
Thank you so much Joe! I am glad you enjoyed this one! I appreciate you tuning.
Welcome to the Black Hat Beachcraft channel ...
I came SO CLOSE to adding that!!! LOL!
I do the same thing with a tarp and some long sticks when camping on the beach, including tying something loose on the guy lines so I don't trip over them.
I can hear the intro to your new channel.... Welcome to Black Hat Beachcraft... lol
I came SO CLOSE to adding that in!! LOL!
Thanks for creating!
Could you clarify on the knots used? Think I heard bowline, toggled bowline, and unsure about the one used for stake.
I also couldn’t make out reasoning about the direction of stake and length of guy line.
I appreciate your response!
A little bushcraft no matter what your doing. 👍🏼 enjoy your time with the family.
I look for every opportunity :) Thank you for tuning in Cliff!
Thought it was a cooking video bhbc style on beach lols, hope you enjoyed the day tho.
What kind of loop is this called? To tie the hitch
Never staked anything down in sand, pretty interesting.
These stakes are definitely not well suited but they held down the fort this way. Thanks for tuning in!
wish I could add a pic of how we roll on the beach, I stake mine down with recycled 1 gallon jugs full of water buried
That would DEFINITELY get the job done! I will have to try that for sure! Thank you for sharing Bruce!
@@blackhatbushcraft I posted a picture on your Facebook Page of us on the beach on Hatteras Island NC
I was considering those huge over-priced spiral stakes, but now... screw that!
My main problem at the local beach is to stake without hitting a pebble, rock or stone but once in, they hold!
Looks like Tybee Island
Not too terribly far away...Atlantic Beach.
Hey I was wondering the four days documentary says it "contains strong language" . How strong is it?
Hey Gail, I honestly am not sure. I wasn't part of that production and I have only seen clips from it so far. I need to get a hold of it so I can see it myself honestly. Kevin Baxter or Shawn Kelly could tell you. Sorry I can't give you specifics Gail.
Well I hope you and your family enjoy your beach time. Now get back to Bushcraft in the woods🤣 just kidding BLACKHAT😂
LOL! Unfortunately the BEACHcraft is already over :( It's back to the real world. New BUSHcraft videos coming soon! Take care Troy.
@@blackhatbushcraft well I hope you and your family had a great time. Take care and I look forward to more videos.
Are you to Atlantic Beach?
Yes sir! We love Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle, Morehead and Beaufort. We enjoy that area very much.
@@blackhatbushcraft I knew a girl in emerald isle once, well maybe twice😉
I need to learn how to read better. I thought it said steaks and got hungry
LOL! I wondered if that would happen to someone :) Steaks on the beach sounds mighty fine as well!
Shawn and Josh have spoiled me on the bushcraft Ribeyes. Lol
