1080 ti is a true monster.. 6 years after release and still rocking... But even $400 Usd is not worth it to spend on a used gpu... I feel like the prices are never going to recover like they used to be, before the pandemic :C

Thank you for this review. It's exactly what I was needing to see. I just bought six of these 6600XT Red Devils for dirt cheap $113ea for 3 and $140,140 and 150. I still have a 1080Ti in my son's 5600x/B450 system and his Train Sim 2 game runs better on the 1080ti on Gen3 then this 6600XT. I have 1 extra 6600XT in the box that I could swap out for the 1080Ti and sell that off. Lots of power savings but his power supply and case can handle the heat. Just not sure what to do with this much newer card vs the 1080ti. Which to sell.
Love my Nitro+ 6600XT tbh, its done everything I've wanted and more at 1440p so far. Although I'm not an ultra setting whore, usually just high/medium.
RX is better in DX 12 because it has better hardware and with DX 12 you can better work with games on even lower level. I mean...yes GTX has more shaders but these are less efficient, RX has better performing cache system and it has a huge frequency difference. DX 11 works better on Pascal because NVIDIA had better software in comparison to say Polaris. So saying that higher shader counts brings better performance is similar to saying that CPU with higher core counts will perform better...and yes that's true that more core equal better performance but that's only a tip of the iceberg in CPU design and manufacturing.

Well it's all about price. I just replaced 2x 1070 and 3x 1080's with 6600xt and I basically broke even in price. Maybe $40 out of pocket if that. replaced with 6600XT Powercolor Red Devils. The 6600XT is faster even on Gen3 then the 1080. 1080ti is a closer match and for older games the 1080ti can still out pace the 6600XT. Debating now what to do with the 1080ti I have in one of the systems as I have 1 6600XT with no home. Sell the old 1080ti or the much newer 6600XT for the 5600x/B450/32gb/1440p system?

best is to use titanium 850 watts or 1000 watts platinum.. More wattage less spend of electricity bills. why ? if u take 650 watts it will will run on 700 watts sometimes and u will have not any more 80gold u will have worst power supply ever. IF u use 1000 watt supply platinum and system goes to 700 watts of usage sometimes,... it will spend less electricity. Simple. Never spend low end psu for high end gpu, 1080ti, 6600xt needs only 650 wats and u can not OC because it is already clocked to max. Better to wait for few time or buy used r9 290x it will do enough for all gaming. as you can see in my profile.

6600xt is seriously bottlenecked by it's 128-bit memory interface. It has a ridiculously low bandwidth. It's probably why the 1080ti still keeps up with newer mid tier GPU's, because even if it's an older gen GDDR5X memory, it has a monster 352-bit interface which gives it high bandwidth at the cost of higher power consumption(and more heat). If the 6600xt would be on 256-bit, it would even be a decent 1440p card.

The problem is that amd is very efficient with there cores cause if they put to many like nvidia they can't control Temps but if amd became even more efficient with Temps and had the same amount of cores nvidia cards have amd would be king right now but nvidia has the more cores more power with the Temps under control but clearly weaker cores compared to amd when it comes to comparing how many to quality its not bs this is a real benchmark

The 1080ti has a 1481MHz base clock and 1582MHz boosted clock The 6600XT has a 2359MHz base clock and 2589MHz boosted clock Each AMD 6600XT GPU compute unit is faster per clock.. it does more work per MHz VS the VERY OLD 1080ti. its the reason why it beats it.. its the same reason the 6600XT beats AMD VEGA and RTX2070/ti/Super..... because its cores are more efficient and also clock very high... AMD even reduced the 6600XT's performance by limiting it to 128bit memory bus so it wouldn't complete to much with the 6700XT that's only 20-30% faster.
