Probably the best Lego game. But not only that, a very good game by itself. Great level design, great open worlds and of course magnificent story and music.
Definitely ranks highly in my list! This and Lego Star Wars are probably among my top 10 to go back to and play now. I only wish more Lego games paid the same attention to detail as they did in this one.

Absolutely fantastic game and a very appropriate review, thank you. Everything about this game is spot on. As a die-hard fan of lotr, this game really just immerses you into the world Tolkien built and quickly convinces you to complete the 100%. Play it if you haven't, right now.
My only complaint is the pc controls without a controller. They didn't even use the mouse like the wii pointer which I would say is the bare minimum. Other than that it's a very good game
That's also one of mine with all the Lego games I've played. I've gone back since recording this video with a controller, and had a much better time with it.
@@orangejoozman4013 It is. But it's only available via Disc. It became backwardscompatible at the end of 2021. I've been replaying it on my Series X the last few days.
I also got it from Steam, but I don't recall any major issues with it. Have you tried a refund? Steam is pretty generous with them if you've played under 2 hours.
@@anostalgiclemon7739 I refunded it after I tried everything to fix it. I just found some solutions online done them, repurchased and it's working now. Thanks anyway!

@@Ricco2I played it on my 360. I had a good time playing through the story and a lot of the side missions. Didn’t fully 100% it, but got pretty close.

To be fair, why would you even want to play a game like this with mouse and keyboard? It's definitely a game built around playing with a controller.

But what about Being able to get the DLC?
As far as I can tell, there are no DLC for the Steam version, which is where I played this game for the review.
The DLC never came out on PC, but you can mod the characters in if you really wanted to. They're already in the base game, just not selectable.
