      Thanks for watching. I will suggest you cook 10kg of rice, that should do. To get even enough just add a few bowls of rice. I hope that helps

    Hi, lovely video. I was supposed to make Jollof for 150-200 guests an I was told to make 25kg of rice(half bag or rice). I don’t know if it would be too much tho.

    • @Honeyzkitchenuk
      @Honeyzkitchenuk  Год назад

      Hello and thanks for your enquiry. 25kg of rice is too much. From my own experience three coolers of rice should do which i would say each cooler is 26 liters. Minding you its not only jollof rice that would be consumed. So i would say 15kg, unless your client wants in excess so their guests can have takeaways. I hope that helps

    I was literally researching what the purpose of bayleaf was yesterday, because i attempted trying to cook and perfect my jollof recipe for the first time in a couple of years and only used thyme and curry.
    Some people said there's some herby menthol taste to it, some said if there's no taste it's because the leaf is old. I'm going try fresh ones, they do seem unnecessary. We can get "Herby" flavour from thyme

      It's by choice I would say. I don't use it at all. Thanks for watching

      Yes it was blended together. Apart from the tomato 🍅 puree which you would fry first before adding the blended pepper

      Yes I'm just not a fan of bay leaf at all, i dont see it's usefulness, And the clients requested no onions. So many times i don't go over board to impress clients. They can be very difficult

    Just wanted to ask, would a bag of normal longrain rice serve 400 guests?

      You havent specified the Kg of the rice

    • @Honeyzkitchenuk
      @Honeyzkitchenuk  Год назад

      And this depends on what you want to cook Jollof rice and fried rice?

  • @AdaezeKalu-r5r

    Why didn't you put onions and bayleaf

    • @Honeyzkitchenuk
      @Honeyzkitchenuk  11 месяцев назад +1

      Because I don't like bay leaf, everybody has different style of cooking. For the onions the customer didn't want.
