While it is not perfect, ArcCW is the best SWEP base ever I've ever used. It provides more attachments and gun modifications and also less laggy when used than TFA and CW2.0.
ArcCW Takes up much more space, has more corruptions and placement glitches for attachments.

@@yousefseed1874 also addons don't effect your fps unless it uses too much particles or it uses reticles all the time
this is mostly the case with mw base.
Amazing vid, I would also highly recommend the MW2019 weapons pack to a new player cus they're simply incredible
A weapon mod that I'd personally suggest is Darken's Sci-Fi Weaponry. The weapons aren't necessarily anything special, but the custom weapon is fucking broken, you can make shit that one-shots Hulk, Mecha Godzilla, and various other powerful NPCs.
I would say M9K is still one of my favorite weapon packs. Yes, it's old. Yes, it's less advanced than modern packs. But it's simple, and adds a good amount of guns without any sort of lag or finnicky mechanics. Sad to see it wasn't included.

LFS for flying and SimPhys cars are amazing.

for vehicles, Id say an essential one is Simfphys vehicles, mainly I'd prefer it since u can customize and tune (edit properties) all of them, the hud feels nice, and drifting is good when u find the right car and tune for it
Love your videos I've been watching for about 4 years
When it comes to weapon bases, TFA Base is my favourite since it has a LOT of scripted weapons. Especially if want weapons from other video games.
Modern Warfare base its more realistic
But it has less weapon mods than the TFA

TFA weapons are also super easy to edit. I edited a flintlock rifle, and now i can do up to 500 damage and i fixed up the sights.
i would recommend:
-[modern warfare base] weapon pack, the animation feels too damn good,
-[simfphys] vehicles cuz it has really good physics on it, same as SCars but it feels newer,
-[LFS] for flying vehicles, WAC is alot harder to control for some people but both are good in their own way.
(Sorry if my pronouncing is wrong on the mod titles)
I use all of these instead of the ones he mentioned
YES lfs is the best wac is SOOO hard
in my case it would be:
-[cw 2.0] very balanced and polished weapon pack or [m9k] because it might be just enough for most players
-[simfphys] if you care about realisim or [svmod] if you like to f*ck around in sandbox making car abominations
-[LFS] WAC but much easier to fly
mw base is shit, everytime you use it, it just bugs the fuck out and you cant see it and there always a black screen when used

LFS and Simfphys mod is more simple and have more vehicle like more military vehicle. These 2 mods are recent compare to Scars, TDM and WAC still old in 2021.
You should make an updated list there’s a few new mods I think people would love. To see

LFS is the best airplane mod, and you can get some ground vehicles

This felt like a GREAT video to show someone who might be new to Garry's Mod! Some of these mods really took me back... While others got me thinking about how much has changed/been added to the workshop over the years like NPC bases and weapon bases. A fantastic "essential" addons video indeed.

sort of unrelated but anyone here remember the name of a specific realistic npc mod, in the mod you could use toolgun to create points for the npcs to walk and there was a gui to control the amount of npc's and police? i cant find it anymore
