Yes the sandwhich method for tret works best for dry skin 1000% agree 👍
You are honestly one of THE most beautiful human being I have ever seen girl❤
Thank you!
@@thecarlyraye So can you use retinoids exfoliants etc. with eczema there’s nothing out there with information on anti-aging for eczema you’re the first person Ive really come across!!!
LMAO such a liar.
Definitely adding tret before anything else improved my skin faster then doing the sandwich method, I wasn’t seeing results applying moisturizer first, my guess is it doesn’t absorb into the skin that well that way
I was looking for you everywhere my saviour!!!! Thank You so soooo much!!!❤❤❤❤
Wow it’s amazing to see someone else with sensitive eczema skin doing tret lol I’m too scared
For your sensitive skin I would recommend a cream based tret over gel trust me my flaking issue went away when I transitioned to a cream textured tret
Currently switching over to the cream! At the time I was originally prescribed the gel tretinoin as it was the only option available.
@@thecarlyraye I hope you notice a difference with the flaking! 💕 I was also originally prescribed gel and then switched to cream cause my doctor realized it was too harsh for my skin
Applying a thick moisturizer or anything on top can intensify the tret. Also if you’re getting irritated around the eyes, nose, or mouth, apply vaseline or Aquaphor in those areas after your moisturizer and before your tret. ❤
can i apply tretinoin directly on my face after using for 6 months..
@@sunshinecare pls dont do that. Tretinon is drying so its not good to apply directly to skin. Also never skip sunscreen when u r using tretinon
I have sensitive skin too. I switched to a lower concentration tretinoin cream which I apply over moisturizer. My skin took a couple weeks to adjust but hasn’t been flaky for months now. I used a small amount every night, where before I was still causing irritation using it twice a week.
What strength do you use now?
I used it around my dark circles and it faded so much. But don't try it because I've been using Tretinoin for 2 years now. I have a new face now.
Dont try what?
Girl, do more videos about having sensitive eczema-prone skin, dealing with it and also acne or hyperpigmentation and try and use retinal or tretinoin or other actives trying to deal with the irritation, I BEG YOU! I have atopic dermatitis on the body and when I started retinol and using stage make up since I'm an actress I started getting eczema also on the face, contact dermatitis from those 2, but I can’t stop using make up and I need retinol due to all my acne scars, actual acne and closed comedones. It's so hard. And you would think since my skin is super dry I wouldn't get closed comedones, black heads or pimples but I DO, no idea HOW, since supposedly my skin produces no oil. Don’t get, just try to survive it
I also have eczema and I started using tretinoin and it has helped the irritation on my face like nothing else. Using a washcloth on your face doesn’t help with irritation.
I have eczema prone combination skin and it's a hell!! I used tretinoin with vaseline all summer long (it was fine cuz my area has so much humidity) but now that it's winter my skin is getting really dry. And if that isn't bad enough, whenever i use heavy moisturizers my pores look so much enlarged 😭😭
Definitely, I will use it on my eyes. That's my problem area.
This was so helpful! I also have dry, sensitive skin ( no eczema anymore, but still prone if I don’t sufficiently moisturize!). What percentage are you using? You’re beautiful, btw, as is your skin! My dermatologist appointment is in 2 days and I’m nervous (but excited!) to start tret!
Hi Carly, new subscriber👋🏼 I'm 62 been on the highest tret for several years. It's wonderful, but it still doesn't tackle my melasma. I was wondering which vitamin c product is safe to add to my morning routine. I forget which one I tried in the past but it was irritating.
Do you do the sandwich method with moisturizer? It really helps! Also, niacinamide really helps the skin tolerate the tretinoin. If too much peeling, now that u have no more pimples you could try stepping down to Differin-it’s still a prescription strength retinoid but it’s not as drying and it’s over the counter. I used it for a long time before moving to tretinoin because I had such a hard time tolerating tretinoin. You can also try switching to every other night. Or leave it on for an hour, then wash it off. Also, be sure to wait 20 min after washing to make sure skin is fully dry. Watch some of Dr. Dray’s videos on tretinoin. Don’t give up!
I think you should use a lower concentration first, pair it with a moisturiser having ceremides and next morning a hydrating gel based moisturiser and good SPF 50+
You might be prolonging retinization by using once a week! Try ever 3 nights/2 hours and see.
Ou yes short contact therapy! I've tried this. I am well adjusted now and actually switching over to the cream version of tretinoin.
Can you explain what's retinization please? I'm about to start using tretinoin so i'm very newbie in this
I find it crazy i am 50 years old, had acne my whole life up until a few years ago and started tret six weeks ago and have had zero peeling and wake with oily skin! I do use a rice fermented toner before i use tret and just this week see some minor breakouts which also may be from PMS but i think its purging. I havent had any dryness whatsoever. Hope its working!
I’m 9 months in using tretinoin and my skin is smooth and soft like a baby’s bottom. My skin has acclimatised to it so I’m able to use it everyday with no peeling. Then wear sunscreen in the day is a must! My bestie and I aka tretinoin are never splitting up ❤
Do u use it everyday?
Do you use it around your eye?
@@GeaDaya yes. Tretinoin in the evening and Azelaic acid in the day over my vitamin C serum.
@@babdullah5025 absolutely not. Not recommended!
My eczema disappeared when I started using tretnoin I guess everyone is different
Did you use retinol or retinal before tret? If you did, for how long and in what intervals?
Also, may I ask how old are you? I cannot figure out how did you look before...maybe I should look at your old videos😊
Did I tell you that you look beautiful w/o makeup?
I use retinol for my prone to irritation skin once every 2 days after a serum and a cream and before the second cream. It works great for me, my skin is lighter and bouncier but if I do more than that or if I don't apply all that hydration it has the opposite effect.
Try using Vaseline on your off nights or any sort of heavy ointment. It’s such a game changer after using tretinoin
It's because you're using the gel formulation. Try tretinoin in a creme formulation. It's milder.
Thanks👍🏻
I had to go to a dermatologist because my skin is so sensitive with retinols etc
You should try a lower concentration of tretinoin. 0.01 % is literally 100% tretinoin. I use 0.025% 4 times a week and it really helped avoid irritation. More isn't always better. I learned that the hard way 😅
I'm using treteoin from past 1 month my skin was too drying and sensitive, now I'm feeling my skin transformed into a lot better version of clean skin .
My sunspots are gone
Fine lines and frone is less visible
A tone is lighter
Open pores got smaller 🤚🤚🤚
Can you tell us what products you’re using! I have extremely dry skin/psoriasis on my face and neeed some super hydrating products
Same please , what product works for you
They are written in the description. And I have maniacally paused this one so I could see. If you want, I can write down what I know, but as I've said, it's in the description.
Yss could you tell us ? Because i cant see it in the description @@DoraSometimes
What is that tub of moisturizer your using?
Hi I have hyperpigmentation around my mouth. Can I use tretnoin on my face on the hyperpigmentation
Please let me know I am using tretinoin crem 0.25 %
I am not having any itching , purging , or any kind of hurt
I am using from past 4 days I am having acne and some are active acne .
Ia tretinoin is working for me or not ? Please let me know.
Some people recommend tret + bepanthen. Any thoughts?
Hey can u pls send me moisturizer and sunscreen while applying tretinoin pls
Which ceramide moisturizer are yoj using?
What face wash do you use?
You have beautiful eyes 😍 😭😭😭😭😭
I cannot get the flaking to stop
The thin layer of moisturizer first might help. Then the tret, then thick moisturizer. Also, Vaseline in the flaky areas prior to the tret, if possible. Or maybe just around the eyes, nose, mouth. Vanicream is a great moisturizer. I've also been using a ceramide barrier serum nightly, even when I don't use the tret
@@kassayglass7030Hello! What ceramide serum are you using if you don’t mind me asking?
I can’t see the products you’re using..
Can you list them please? Thank you!

Hey! I have atopic dermatitis and I can't seem to find materials about retinol with eczema. I would REALLY love to hear more, yes. also about incorporating other actives, your approach/routine/experience etc. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤
You have pretty eyes
Can you put a list of products you use.
They're in the description :)
Thank you dear.
try 0.02% cream
Looks like you’re using the gel. Try the cream version instead
What’s the name PLEASE IM USING TRETNOIN too
Name of what? I don't understand... If you're wondering what she's using, you've got everything in the description. 😉
Damn. i use mine every night
Your so beautiful my dear
Thank you!
She is talking too fast. Very knowledgeable and beautiful.
I've been using tretinoin 0.25 cream (pea amount) every night for about a month. My skin has turned rough and grainy. Is it supposed to do that?
You should only be using it twice a week! Definitely don’t use it everyday
@@ava.33333 Thanks.
Are you like real ?
Your skin looks great, but from my experience, I feel like you’re over moisturizing which will lead to dry skin
Stop talking so fast
i’m a nurse who has worked exclusively and extensively in dermatology since i finished college 8 years ago and you are lying. you are definitely applying tretinoin more than once a night. you HAVE to apply tretinoin 3 nights a week at the bare minimum to see a difference. your skin looks lovely but it is not all tret. you’re also using other powerful active ingredients on your skin. i can clearly see lip filler and quite a bit of botox.
What can you do if tretinoin is clearing your acne effectively but making you darker?
I use sunscreen the morning after using tretinoin (and everyday too)
Ou a good question! Are you concerned this is from sun exposure? Because if so, I would focus on using an adequate amount each day but, more importantly, reapplying throughout the day, staying out of the sun, wearing a hat, sitting in the shade if possible etc.! I use my regular SPF as well as a tinted SPF as my foundation given that I am very sensitive to the sun even without tret :)
@@thecarlyraye thank you very much for your response. I'm not exactly sure what is making it darken my skin. But I'll start doing this more often. Do you think the darkening will resolve with time?
Use Tretinoin+ Hydraquinoin for 2-3 months. It will give you best results. But give your skin rest from Hydroquinone for 1 month in between.
My dermatologist recommend me. I have been on this cycle for 2 years now.
gosh you use alot of products
I think you're not using the right products
You are too rough with your skin when rubbing that cream in.
Too much stuff has been used on skin!
You are using way to much tret
Tretionoin is damaging to your nerves. I quit that shit was gonna give me a stroke fr
What moisturisers do u use?
I swear by a few K beauty options. I have them in my description if you're interested :)
