This song is proof that music can save lives, because it did for me. On my darkest days during my teen years, this was one of my shining beacons that kept me going and believing. Now that I'm reaching my thirties, this song has taken an entirely new meaning for me - experience life to its fullest, and seize the day. Live Life is one of those songs that stick with you for life. I'm glad you loved it! It is a perfect contrast to "With Me", as it rebuts the question the final boss theme raises - "If everything has an end, what's the point? Won't living forever be better?" This song has a clear answer to it - "It's because everything ends that life has meaning, so live it out as best you could!" A battle of ideals presented not just through dialogue, but through music as well.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I can relate, and reading your comment made me feel a little emotional. I remember the song and moment that saved me as well. Music is an odd yet incredible/beautiful thing. I will have to listen to "With Me" at some point now!
Yeah i feel you. This song helped me a lot. What I'm made of is another one. Now that I'm older, Number One has a special place in my heart and I heard that one before the other two. Crazy right.
Merlina….. Every world has has it’s end. I know that’s kinda sad. But………………….. That’s why we gotta LIVE LIFE to the fullest in the time we have. At least, that’s what I figure. -🦔💙 Sonic The Hedgehog.
Yeah what you saw was the final cutscene. The song itself is Sonic's message to Merlina, the girl he gave a flower to. Happy to see your voice getting better :)
So the song basically is a representation of the games overall message. But spoilery but it’s required to understand the song. Merlina (the girl on the video) wishes her kingdom to have eternal life as she knows it’ll never last and fears death, not just in general but for the sake of her home. This wish obviously goes too far and Sonic saves the day. But he also teaches Merlina that what makes life worth living is that it’s short, so make the most of it. A very obvious message but for a kids game it’s quite profound and melancholy hence why the song is as it is. It nails that melancholy but hopeful feeling that the ending of the game has and drives the message home
One song I would recommend is 'Infinite' (the main theme of infinite with lyrics) as well as the other themes that are just remixes (have no lyrics) of it that are 'battle with infinite: first bout', 'battle with infinite - second bout', and 'battle with infinite - showdown'
This was the last Crush 40 song in an official sonic game for many years until their return in Team Sonic Racing with their green light ride song. From Wii to Switch, Xbox one and PS4 was the long wait I believe. Technically last one for a while in the way it’s the credit song for the game and you’ve already heard Knight of the wind and so on and it was a great send off for the time being.
if you ever get the chance you should definitely listen to 'Never Turn Back', the ending theme for Shadow's game! One of my favourite crush 40 songs for sure
@@Queen-Of-Jadesthat's one of my favorite. Just because of cobanermani456 I miss his content. But his intro was always WHOS GONNA ROCK THE PLACE FOREVER GONNA ROCK THE PLACE
I would definitely listen to I Am All Of Me and Infinite. The lyrics go hard on those. Other recommendations I have would be All Hail Shadow (both versions, tho I personally like the Crush 40 version better), Never Turn Back, and Seven Rings In Hand (again, both version are good but I’d be inclined to recommend the Crush 40 version).
A really interesting trend with sonic music is that, in contrast with the rest of the soundtrack, the end credits themes of the games tend to be slow and mellow, and have some message pertaining to the plot. I think this started with my destiny in sonic 06, then continued with worth a chance in secret rings, dear my friend in unleashed, live life in black knight, speak with your heart in colors, light of hope in forces, and most recently they did it with dear father in frontiers.
You could try the acoustic version of 'Knight of the Wind' if you're fine with a non-lyrical version. As for other Crush 40 songs from Black Knight, I know there's 'Fight the Knight,' 'Through the Fire,' and their version of 'With Me' (the main version from the game isn't the Crush 40 ver.). I feel like I'm forgetting one more, but I could be wrong. 'Through the Fire' and 'Fight the Knight' are both pretty short, like 1:30 ish, so it might be worth doing them together in one video.
I recommend you react to the sonic song look-a-like, from the sonic ova. There is a yesmen 10 video of it and the OVA is focused on sonic and metal sonic and the lyrics try to reflect the two characters similarity even though they are kind of random and cheesy. The ova's music is all so good and it makes metal sonic look so cool, I hope you react to it!
every sonic game has two main songs, theres the rock ones that are supposed to be epic, and theres the more emotional song that relays an important message the game shows, here are a few of the best ones “dear my friend” (sonic unlesshed) “my destiny” (sonic 06) “worth a chance” (sonic and the secret rings) “dear father” (sonic frontiers) “im with you” (sonic frontiers) “light of hope” (sonic forces) if u have a chance you should listen to all of these

Best shadow ending song
I agree. My favorite sonic series song😎👍🏻
I highly recommend "Seven rings in hand"
The whole ost for Secret Rings is super underrated

Please do an entire stream covering the full osts😊

I knew it a little bit late, but the Knight of the Wind leitmotif is very prominent here

React to Sonic and the Secret Rings: Worth A Chance. It’s the ending credits song to that game.
Sonic adventure 2 Fly me to freedom if you want to mix it up with some thing jazzy or sonic adventure 1 unknown from M.E
