- The EPIC season finale of Odd Friday/Weird Wednesday went down on December 22nd. This was a special one as it was a team effort with Beezy 430 and Myke C-Town representing the West and Feefo and Modest Media representing the East. The West Team came out on top, but The East Team put up a valiant fight. Right? Did you watch it? What did you think? What could have gone differently? How would you have played it? I was fortunate to catch this odd Friday live from the UK at about 2am UK time. It was Stella, thoroughly entertaining and a great way to end the season.
I still contend that Myke & B shoulda played a Mac Dre song in the 2000’s since they didn’t have nothing. If they couldn’t play Snoop’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot”, they could’ve explored other parts of California, not just LA
Eh, I still feel like DEHH fans wouldn't have responded well to Mac Dre because he's just such a regional Bay legend that for them to really grasp his impact they would have to mostly all be from the bay themselves. They could've played Feelin Myself and I would've gone crazy, but the chat would be spamming "L" through the whole song.
I think they would have had a better chance playing something off Below The Heavens with the type of fans that the DEHH audience seems to be.

Survival Tatics should’ve replaced Dr. brids that would’ve given Rod and Feefo the W imo. I can’t believe y’all forget about the Beast Coast movement that was going on during the 2010s. I think the channels audience are particularly the age group for that.

One song I would've switched out for Myke and Beezy would've been Vice City, I would've played King's Dead instead. But honestly you really can't go wrong with most of TDE's catalogue.

The problem with this battle is that Dehh fans love TDE a bit too much. However in the 2010s I would probably have voted for TDE, as the east coast representatives could have done better in the 2010s-2020s, like honestly Griselda are boring af, they will lose to anyone with drums and half assed lyrics will toast those guys, same thing with the Meek Mill record. I think they should have played In Paris in the 2010s, and played like any song of Get Rich or Die Trying instead of a Jay Z song. Also Asap Rocky should have played Pretty Flacko 1 better song imo, or even 1 Train because of the crowd of dehh being into that sort of thing, RTJ would have worked too, probably would have gone with RTJ, Oh My Darling hell or even El P's Full Retard for that decade.
But that Baby Keem song was bad, it's literally a c-rate Playboi Carti clone rapping over a so-so trap beat, with a painfully average KDot verse. I don't get DEHH fans at all, I wasn't 100% on the Conway record, but it at least sounded okay. Honestly I swear Kendrick could fart on a song and DEHH fans will flock to it like it's Illmatic or some shit. I probably would have picked Pop Smoke's Got It On Me instead but yeah you guys need to chill.

@@warnaoh I started to feel this way over the past few years. Like he has joints for sure, Dna, Recipe, bitch don't kill my vibe (remix), and a few others. And while I appreciate kendrick having concept/narrative driven albums where the songs are tied together, it doesn't make songs like Backseat Freestyle good.

I think Feefo and Rod kinda fumbled the last round. If they played Look Over Your Shoulder by Busta & Kendrick it wouldve definitely beat Baby Keem & Kendrick, also knowing the DEHH audience would be leaning towards Busta over Baby Keem more, since both songs got amazing Kendrick features. But other than that it was an amazing battle. Great job all 2021 guys, keep it up next year!

Get Ken and some others to do a Midwest v Dirty South battle now. Idk about the 80s. But both regions started poppin off in the 90s. Imagine a battle with Em, Twista, and Common from the midwest in the 90s vs Outkast, UGK and Geto Boys from the south, maybe a Master P joint sprinkled in. Then in the 2000s, when both regions were really taking over with Em, Kanye, Tech 9, potentially a Lupe Fiasco track thrown in vs Outkast, Wayne, Ludacris. Then fast forward to the 2010s with 2chainz, Travis Scott, and Wayne vs Freddie Gibbs, Big Sean and Ye!? Oohweee! Depending on how you play your cards right, i could see that battle going either way in every decade. Shit, i think the South wins the 90s just because of OutKast lol but man those other 2 decades can be a toss up.
But the winner faces off vs the Westcoast, Myke and Beezy. And you cant use the same songs from the semifinals.
