when you are in mobo sync what happen to colors when you restart your PC is it come back to default color mode or it is sync to mobo mode or you need to press again the remote mobo sync?
Hey! hopefully you read this, im pretty new to pc building and really like these fans however, i got a asrock mobo with NO argb 3 pin header on it. Do you think buying a 3 pin argb adapter could work with these? one that connects to a sata power cable.
@numbel-r8y hello bud, so just for clarity, your motherboard has no ARGB headers but it does have 12v RGB headers and you are looking to control the lighting on the fans through software rather than using the little remote?
@@BrisyTechBytes i wanna use the remote but my motherboard has no RGB header at all. So i cant connect the 3 pin argb cable anywhere, but i know you can buy a 3 pin argb adapter that directly connects to the PSU through SATA. was wondering if that could work?
@numbel-r8y ah... got you, then if you plan to only use the remote you don't need to worry about that rgb cable at all, just leave it disconnected, you only connect that if you are planning to use motherboard software to control the RGB. In my video when I'm showing all the effects I don't have the argb connect attached to anything, just a Power Supply to give the controller the sata power it needs, hope this helps
@peskingx you can't with these particular fans but there are other options for PWM fans from the same manufacturer. At the time they only did those in a 5 pack and I was needing 6 fans and that was the main reason I went for the non PWM fans. Well worth having a look on Amazon again now, they might have more options 👍
Thanks for this! I'm about to build a new PC and was going to give my old one to my Dad and needed to get some new fans, these are perfect and quite simple to use, I don't think he'd have the patience for Corsair iCUE fans!!!!
I did try that however nothing has happened at all. I don’t even see where the “eye” or sensor is on the hub that you would point the remote at. What I just did was order another set to switch hubs and see if that works. Or do you think I’m just doing something wrong? I haven’t hooked up my motherboard yet so I just assumed that powering these things up would work. Unfortunately all they do is stay on blue from the moment they are powered up.
I'm sure in other RGB related things I've tried similar the fans flashed a couple of times to let you know that it was changing from mobo to remote mode and vice versa but these didn't. You don't need to be pointing anywhere in specific for the remote to work...oh and by the way my sons desk has RGB set in to it and the remote for that used to change the colours of the fans too, only found that out by accident but then it became a proper pain in the arse that the wrong withing was changing colour. They should just work straight out the box, in my vid I only have them hooked up to a PSU and they were working fine with the remote
@@BrisyTechBytes I hooked mine up to the psu only(building a new machine) and I couldn’t get them to change, or fan speed to change or even turn off. They were just spinning and blue. Guess I’ll see if a new hub tomorrow will work!
@@BrisyTechBytes I just realized I keep commenting from two different accounts. Sorry for the confusion. I ordered another set of fans to see if they will work and if so I'll just return these.
@hightimes2117 not familiar with Razer Sypnase but their website says they are compatible with Asrock Polychrome, MSI mystic light, Asus aura sync and Gigabyte RGB fusion...if it is compatible with those it's possible it will be compatible with Razer Sypnase if that allows you to control the RGB effects over anything connected to your motherboard 5v rgb headed if if you have some sort of hub in your case with a 5 volt RBG headed that Razer Sypnase controls.
I just installed these fans and the remote doesn't change the settings or colors. They turn on blue initially. Pressing any button on the remote does nothing. The remote does light up red however. Am I missing something here? I am pointing the remote directly at the hub.
I got these exact fan, looks like my pc doesn’t detect the rpm of these fans. I can sync the rgb. I can only manually change the speed using the remote. Is there anyway to let my pc actually control the fan speed ? 6 diy fab fans n 3 are artics fan
@luckydepressedguy8981 unfortunately these fans are not PWM fans so can only be controlled through the remote control, I know they done a similar fan bundle which are PWM fans and the RGB is slightly different, from memory they only came as a 5 pack too when in most cases you'd want 6
@@BrisyTechBytes just figured it out, thanks for replying man. Im running 9 fan on my pc. When “control” the fan to max speed only 3 out of 9 fan were on max speed and it bothered me 😂. I can buy 6 more non rgb pwm artics fan for cheap or splurge more money for pwm + argb. Is there such a pwm fan that doesnt need the 3 pin argb? Or its just pwm + argb? its annoying to manually change the pc fan speed and it bothers me when my suddenly 3/9 of the can become louder with im playing some games. Had to manually speed up the other 6 fan haha
@luckydepressedguy8981 how are the other 3 fans set up, do you have them attached to seperate fan headers and rgb headers on your mobo? Sounds like your gonna have to buy a different set of fans which are PWM fans, lots of choices but for what you are looking for control wise you'll probably need another fan RGB and power control hub. Plenty of choices too for non RGB fans that'll only have the 4 pin power connection on them, just all depends on your budget of course Have a look at the Deepcool SC790 hub, that thing can handle 12 fans, bough one for my son who has the NZXT H9 Flow case so needed something to control the 10 Phanteks D30 fans we installed to it
@ViralWatchMedia unfortunately I don't have these fans anymore, upgraded my sons case and put my old Corsair fans in it, the EZDIY fans done a job though and ideal for a budget build

@@mcduffrobert hey mate, are the fans still running good? also I dont have the specific rgb connector on my mobo, can I still control the fan colours with just this sata powered hub provided?
Yes the fans are still going strong in my sons case, you don't need to hook these fans up at all to the mobo, only required to do that if you plan to control the RGB through the motherboard software (if you were to purches the ARGB ones)...otherwise you can just use the remote that comes with the fans to select the RGB effect that's built in to the fan controller 👍
You can't control the airflow direction unless you physically turn the fans around as is the case with most fans. If you are wanting your case set up in a way that you can't see the back of the fans inside your case, like if you had side mounted intake fans, you'd have to buy reverse flow fans.
These fans should do a job for you....Good thing is they ain't that dear so if you aren't happy you're not out of pocket much. Just remember these particular ones are just controlled by the remote for fan speed but you can get PWM ones for not much more
@@kett5320 have you tried holding the MB (mothernoard) button down on the controller for 3 seconds? You should see them flash and should then be able to control them using the remote
@kett5320 don't mean to sound cheeky here but have you removed the little plastic tab from the battery compartment on the remote? Or tried a different battery?
Yeah don't see that being a problem plugging the CPU fan RGB cable in to the hub assuming the CPUf fan RGB plug is compatible with the connections on the end of the hub 👍
I'm not sure if I'd want to risk trying 7 as they seem to state so many times that 6 is the max...in saying that the hub itself has connections for up to 10 fans and if you don't plan to tun the fans at 100% then it might be OK, the power draw might not exceed the limit on the hub, would be at your own risk though.
