If you color shortening, what would you use that for because it wont dry out, so painting with it doesnt seem possible

Many thanks for this wonderfully informative video. You asked all the right questions...felt like I was there asking them myself! Just bought a bunch and am hoping to be able to make a true red buttercream icing. Struck out with other natural colors from other companies. Have you been able to make a truly red buttercream? (Not some other color pretending to be red? ;-)
