Walmart does have tipless bags in the arts and craft section with all the cake decorating stuff. Also possibly Michael's or Hobby lobby if you have those.
WOW ABSOLUTELY DYN-O-MITE THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I CAME ACROSS YOUR BLOG/POST. THESE ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL COOKIES. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS. YOU SPEAK VERY CLEAR, AND THE VIDEO WASN'T SLOW AND BORING. GREAT WORK !!!!!
I am here to experience the uniqueness of your presentation…..and must admit, it is fantastic……I deeply believe in our heart that all of us need appreciation while creating something with our hard work…..so, dear friend…..I am always beside you to appreciate your creations.....always think positive and keep going on.....lots of love, support and good wishes from my end.....stay connected.....stay safe
I am a novice and this is probably the most helpful video yet. Putting the sanding sugar around the edge will be a big help! Thank you for your patience and great tips! PS I know it's been nearly two years, I just found your channel and will be watching your other videos to help me get the hang of it. Hey, everyone had to do THAT very first cookie!!! THX
Oh my goodness! What a goldmine of helpful information! Thank you SO much! So many wonderful possibilities for a beginner. So easy to follow and comprehend. All in real-time. I just cannot thank you enough for the time that you took out of your personal time to make this video. God bless you for caring enough to share your time, ideas, knowledge, skill, and talent with us. Take care...
I do a Valentine's party every year for my nieces and nephews. Thanks for this cookie tutorial and ideas for cookies we can all accomplish, not just expert decorators 🤗
I just picked up baking and decorating as a hobby, so these videos are amazing and super useful. Thanks so much! I especially like how you aren't trying to push products on people, and you're addressing some concerns I have as far as cost goes. I was actually just wondering if I should just buy storebought "glitter sugar" (as I called it LOL), or if I should learn to make it from scratch. Also, the Ziplock bag thing is really great. All these fancy cooking channels never mention that, but my Mom and sister taught me that one a long time ago. Baking is hard as a poor person, sheesh. Lol
I'm trying this for the first time and I've watched dozens of videos now to learn this method. Thank you so much because by far yours is the best! You explain everything that all the other videos left hanging in the air! Even your calm voice makes me believe I can do this well. Thank you! ❤🇨🇦☃️
I truly enjoyed your video. It was very informational. I really learned allot from watching you. I loved the Heart cookie designs and think i might make these for my grandkids this coming valentines day. Thank you so very much.
I made your cookies recipe and it came out delicious. I also did the royal icing in royal blue and black. The black icing consistency was perfect in my opinion, but I probably didn't add enough sugar and over beat it and it took 3 days for it to finally dry. The blue royal icing in the other hand dried overnight, but mine was runny and it does look flat and dull. It still taste delicious and I think I didn't do that bad being my first time makinh royal mickey mouse sugar cookies with royal icing.
Love these wonderful ideas! You are very thorough with your explanations and instructions. I like the idea of having a dam around the edge to contain the icing so it doesn't flow over the edge of the cookie. Great for beginners!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It is so much easier, faster and less messy when you put the outside edge sprinkles on first! Appreciate your expertise. ❤️
I too use one consistency somewhere between outline and flood but I use 2 tipless piping bags....one with a tiny opening and the other with a larger one.
Thank you for this tutorial! I followed your advice and my cookies turned out great! Excited to learn this new technique and I look forward to baking more!
Thank you, thank you for this video! You make it look so easy! After watching it I feel I could actually decorate a cookie! Thank you also for including your icing and cookie recipes. You are awesome!
@@CookieSchool I did my first set of cookies a few minutes ago & wanted to cry....because they look so good!! I tend to have hand tremors & get scared of detailed work but they turned out so nice. The tip with the outline of the cookies being dipped in sprinkles made my outlines look perfect!! I even did the little hearts with a toothpick. I wish I could post a pic here to show you but I am so excited! Cookies aren't something I normally do but I wanted to include them in my V day boxes this year. I'm tuning in today for the tutorial at 1 pm.
I just love this tutorial. Your presentation makes me feel as if listening to a friend. I decided to weigh my cookies (after putting on the sugar border) before and after decorating to get an idea of how much icing I need per cookie. For my 3.5" cookie it came out to be around 20 grams ...still no where near as pretty as yours but getting closer
I'm glad to see you are demonstrating this without an actual piping tip so I can try this without making a big investment. But how much to cut off the tip? Would you recommend the piping tips for beginners and if so, what size tip?
Hi Rob, Please note that not ALL piping bags work well without a piping tip if the plastic is too stiff it's more difficult. I cut a pretty small hole since I need to be able to draw lines. A piping tip is not required for a project like this but I do recommend when making more detailed projects.
what brand of coloring? I'm searching for something natural...as red dye is so bad. ty. great tutorial!!! Another youtuber suggested to put water in a spray bottle...a good way to spray a little to make it the consistency you want. Thought that was a good idea. i agree! RED does not make a good pink! love that you showed your mistake and how to correct it... :). Love the two tone heart cookie...very cool.
Wow! Great tutorial! Well explained and the cookies are beautiful. I feel like I finally learned something about cookie decorating today. Thanks!
You are an amazing teacher. Thank you
Thanks Hanna

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it I try to be as clear as possible 😀 The scale is a good idea when trying to figure out how much icing to color.
