Just returning to this beautiful gem of a track/album in 2023 and I must say, I'd love to hear them make another old school/soulful track like this one in the current year... Wild to think that DBSTF are still on top of their game in the hardstyle scene 6 years after their successful Antidote album showcase/full-time return! Still very excited for what's to come from them and their music to this day ❤🔥

Real hardstyle is still alive ! A melody with a good kick and not an ugly rollkick with phat clap like raw style ..
Raw is still hardstyle, because it's not your style doesn't mean its ugly, i like it, but i also enjoy the euphoric side of hardstyle
I like raw but it was better between 2012 and 2014, now it's just a kick without synth and sounds like hardcore ..
I have to agree there is alot of that in 2017, but just listen to phuture noize, high voltage, and i can name alot more, who still maintain that raw sound with sick melodies.
BVHVMUT / Killer Traxx 2017 is the year that a lot of raw producers actually started putting melody back into their tracks.
Real hardstyle is both raw and euphoric combined, (hard hitting kicks combined with powerful/emotional melodies) since that's how it was before the genre split. Ever since it split into two genres, euphoric started becoming too soft with too much melody (lacking the HARD) and raw started becoming too hard with no melody (lacking the STYLE). Glad to see that more producers are combining HARD and STYLE again.

Okay well Andy SVGE made some amazing tracks too but all the rest was 95% fucking commercial garbage. This track has at least a vibe, a good melody and a hardstyle feeling. That's hardstyle for me.
Not some shitty tryhard atmozfears/codeblack ripoff or subzeroproject/radical/d-sturb ripoff wannabe's.
I've like the recent releases of D-Block & S-Te-Fan but this feels so "authentic" I can't even describe it. I really thought hardstyle had died but this track feels so "alive".

TycoDJ Dude, plenty of hardstyle producers went back to the roots/have been putting out quality material this year (when compared to the past few years). While this track is amazing, I find it hard to believe that you haven't heard ANYTHING remotely as good as this track during the year so far...
Dunno nothing felt as "real" as this, but you can always prove me wrong by showing me examples & I'll listen. It just felt that most releases sounded the same, boring and drive-less.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of cool sounding tracks but nothing I'd listen to after some years. It feels like the commercialism has come to hardstyle, labels forcing artists to put up release after release but I haven't noticed any tracks that "stood out" this way. It's also happening that labels are forcing artists to fit to the current hypes instead of leaving the artists in full control. It just feels so "made" while tracks like this feel like they descended from heaven itself.
The only real exception to this is Spirit of Hardstyle. That's like the label that has a continuous flow of actual quality tracks with thé hardstyle vibe I find lost in most commercial tracks. I mean walking around on festivals (haven't been on defqon1 yet though) I always hear the same tracks and same sounds. Spirit of Hardstyle has a totally different sound and insane quality actually worth listening so I'm glad at least someone else felt the "struggle" as well and is working the fix it.
Of course the fanbase is alive as usual and artists are working hard on new releases but things have changed and it just has lost part of the "magic" that used to be in hardstyle.
I mean when I party to hardstyle I go crazy every climax but I'm 100% sure hearing this live would give me shivers and connect to me on such a deep live I can't even explain. Hearing this makes me feel alive, it gives me strength, motivation and inspiration.
I literally had my biggest jawdrop ever hearing this track while I just came home from work, I stared outside and suddenly life made sense again. That's not something that happens everyday, I can tell you that.
But hey that's all my opinion and I know the hardstyle scene has always been and will always be very dedicated and I'm happy you all can still enjoy hardstyle as much I enjoy tracks like this, I mean it's about enjoying the music after all :)
