For $450 you'd think that the company could supply a wiring kit with the lights. All my LED light bars came with all the wiring, relays, and switches needed. Do better alien lights!
@@paranormalwheelers I found these lights very early on when they had only produced a few and didnt have any in stock yet. I kept pestering SXSUSA and I finally got a set. I thought they were so cool and thought they were going to be a hit in the off-road world. I thought this video was going to be huge for the channel but they were not as popular and mind blowing as I had expected. I think the price tag really turns people away. The quality is great but they are such an unnecessary mod its hard to justify the purchase.
@FilthyKnobsOffRoad I agree. Price is important. I have baja design lights. But they are purse lights and have a solid reputation so they can demand the highest price tag. . These are overpriced . If they go down I'll get a set. But it's definitely not a necessity light for me.
The brackets were supposed to be temporary and I was gonna go back and do something nicer later. Many months later those brackets are still on there. Should have done it right the first time.
I'm interested in the Alien Lasers off-road lights. They seem to shine really far up into the sky. Do they have to go up that far? Is there a way to adjust them to shine lower?
I checked on this. The company claims “the beam that comes out of this pod is NOT a laser. However, the light source deep inside this pod uses a laser diode phosphorus combination to safely create a narrow white beam. At only 1000lumens, this beam is safe to use outdoors”.
It's illegal to intentionally direct laser light at airplanes or other aircraft, it however isn't unlawful to "shine lasers upwards." Think about all those laser light shows at stadiums and sports events/races all over the country. They would all, by your logic, be committing felonies(which surprise surprise they're not)
@FilthyKnobsOffRoad reason I ask, that's not always a good thing. But hopefully law enforcement aren't dumb enough to think we're pointing these at aircraft lol. HUGE fines and jail time for that here

You can change the angle they shine at but not the distance. They do go waaay up in the sky especially on dusty, rainy or foggy days.

They would work great. The light is super concentrated. Wouldn’t want to look directly into them. Might see white circles for a few days.

No you can see them pretty much any night but dust and fog makes them much brighter
