Fun fact: the awnser to the question "why did every music video in the 70s have women without bras?" is actually that there was a huge movement about getting rid of the inequality between men and women walking bare chested and women had massive protests and gatherings where they burned their bras and "freed" their chest. So for a period of time between 70s and 80s alot of women didn't wear bras.

Actually the KISS video was, in the eighties, pretty important for the band. Before they wore costumes and make up. To stay relevant they decided to transform and this was the first video they wore 'normal' clothes and no make-up. It was a succes cause they had a golden record for that song. Later on in the ninetees they went back to the make up and costumes.

The more I watch the "Cut to the Feeling" music video, the more it grows on me. I like that there's a buildup and they finally cut (no pun intended) to the dolly shot in the second chorus.

Sugar by maroon 5 and Birthday by Katy Perry are basically the same song. Their videos both came out in 2014 and the idea was similar where they go to a bunch of "random" wedding and birthdays respectively. And literally their songs sound identical

Joel for Demi’s music video. Demi had broken their fibula a few weeks before they shot the video. This was the first time they wore heels since they had broken their ankle hence the lack of movements during the music video.

I don't think he ever said that women needed to wear bras, he was just commenting on the fact that in a multitude of music videos from that era women didn't wear bras. He could've just been pointing out an interesting stylistic choice. Even if he does subscribe to the ideals of western traditionalism, it's not a channel about breaking down oppressive societal behaviors, it's about a Swedish musician discussing the pop music world. (If he did specifically express an opinion that "woman need to wear bras" you can @ below with a timestamp)

I agree with TJ, It was pretty clear to me that he was commenting on the fact that more women back then didn't wear bras, it was just a detail that he caught on and described was all. Never did he say anything along the lines of "Women should wear bras" imo.
Maybe you could do a compilation of good music videos that were actually very simple, like Janelle Monae's Cold War...?

9:12…Journey gets a pass. You have to understand the music video culture of 1983. At that point MTV was not quite two years old. Everyone was scrambling to get a music video put together, and do it on the cheap. There were no templates, no big budgets, no famous directors…it was just “stand here” or “try this” or “look cool singing” in front of some cameras…it was all trial-and-error…🤷🏻♂️
I loved the video as a kid when it was playing on MTV new in regular rotation. It wasn’t until much later that it looked cheesy in hindsight.
