- Hi all! Here's a new update to the 2020s Decade-End list for the Hot 100 chart. I hadn't updated this list in a while in big part due to lack of time, but also because it hasn't have many new entries or exciting movements if I'm being honest. Anyways, this update is up to the latest chart available (chart dated to 07/13/2024), but it's solely focused on the current top 50 (unlike the Global list, which I've managed to expand to top 70 already).
An important note: Since my last update, Billboard decided to lower its latest multiplier, affecting every song since november 2021. As a result, 2022 and 2024 hits seem to have been the most affected songs on the list.
...
This video is a prediction of what Billboard's Decade-End List for the 2020s may look like by the end 2029. As we're currently in the fifth year of the current decade, solely the top 50 songs up to this point in time have been included.
This list uses an inverse-point system, in which songs at no.1 gain the greatest amount of points, while songs at no. 100 gain the least. As a result of said methodology, this list is better understood as the best chart-runs during the 2020s, not exactly the most popular songs.
Enjoy :D

Me too, that's why I'm excluding them from here in case they don't
hahahaha last night #3
It went up lol
@@Watermelon74 we been knew
At least it won’t be #1 haha
@@landonmays9739 good because blinding lights is the holy grail of music charts
Why did "As It Was" fall below Last Night and Levitating?
@@Watermelon74 Recent articles hint at Billboard changing the multipliers to x0.65 ever since november 2021. As a result of this lower multiplier, songs from 2022 fell while songs from 2021 rose in positions. That's how As It Was fell below Levitating. Meanwhile, Last Night just had a better chart-run overall
I remember that change being put in place, it's just weird that a song from after 2022 would be higher but i guess 2023 was a more stronger year for charts
@@Watermelon74 Yeah. 2022 was pretty weak in real points too. In fact, using real points and some minor multipliers, Last Night is #5 and As It Was is #6 (I have to update that list too, now that I remember)
@@Neogaleooh, so that’s how you estimate increases in positions
@@theluckyone3212 Yeah. This list is built around an inverse-point system balanced out by multipliers, which have been cracked by PulseMusic users. So it's just a matter of keeping track of the chart history of all songs
Where is AIWFCIY and RACT?
Sorry, I don't track christmas songs for these lists. However, as of last week, AIWFCIY was at #10 and RACT was at #23
@@Neogaleokay but we need to see the Christmas song
