That’s not actually true. The podcast was recorded in 2018/2019 and the filming happened between March - May/June 2021. in fact, there is a small accidental reveal of the trailer from Markiplier’s stream back in 2022.
I loved the show. The problem isn't necessarily the acting, but the dialogue could have been a little bit better. Overall mark and his team did a great job.
My favourite quotes have to be "she was sleeping, thats when she died. She died in her sleep" and "there's been a lot of pain for me personally, in my personal life".
just so you know- it wasn’t mark’s team, he was workin for the director like everyone else. he’s just an actor here, while with iron lung he has more control over the project !
Marked shined in intense moments but lacked a bit in more subtle and regular conversation. There are some plotholes and some dialogue that sounds off from multiple characters, which would be my main complain, but the show has some great moments, and Mark does have potential as an actor, it's some of the writing that falls just a bit short at times. But you'll definitely have fun watching this, it's a decent show, I had fun!
I think the acting is great but sometimes it’s hard for me to take seriously because every time I see mark, I forget this is an actual tv show. Not saying his acting is bad but just that it’s hard to see mark as something other than his own internet persona
The show is based on the book, not the podcast. Mark's acting I have been very curious about since, so far, we have seen him do very expressive/cartoonish acting. Something he is very good at, but does not necessarily translate to the more subtle/down-to-earth acting needed for a series like this or his upcoming movie
I think mark did good enough. I feel like he can work on showing emotions thru body language more but the voice and facial expressions were on point. And the story was fantastic. I wish they had some more of the violent and bloody moment from the podcast though. Otherwise i give it an 8 outta 10
@@hermionetwo2739 yeah for me his acting was off but not too much, the show is very much watchable and enjoyable. im only on episode 3 but matteo's acting is carrying esp in scenes with just him and mark
I think marks acting is actually very good, the other cast acting is subpar imo, also from the jump i had issues with the pacing of the story. I hated the transition from work to the “party” in the first episode. Also why would they bother going to a party at 3am? 😅 i feel like it would be rational to just assume the party is over by then, and it basically was when they got there. Im still excited for iron lung, but this show made me lose a little faith in marks storytelling ability.
Wow, the other cast subpar? Mark's acting feels so weird and out of place a lot of times compared to the other actors who all have a very natural kind of acting voice. Not saying their acting stands out as like peak cinema, but it's perfectly passable. Mark isn't at that passable stage yet for me, but I feel for the guy
@@jerelo175 maybe subpar is a little harsh. I do think they did a great job. And i was impressed with marks acting. Normally he just plays himself in stuff lol so it was refreshing to see him play a different character. But yes i do see what you mean by him being out of place at times.
I get what you mean to some level. Mark is still very "RUclips acting" tho I honestly feel like he has very great potential. Sometimes it feels "over the top" but if he works on that I feel like be Soo good!
I thought the acting was really good for the most part. Mark was sadly the weakest link in the acting department. Like you said I don't think he was necessarily bad, but he felt a little stiff a lot of the time. I think the best scene of him acting was during the triangle incident, if ya know ya know, but he was kinda just channeling Darkiplier there so it was probably in his comfort range. I think he's just so used to overly expressive acting, which I think he is amazing at, that like drama level acting is foreign to him. That was my biggest takeaway personally
its also recorded 3+ years ago so his acting has improved since then
The podcast was recorded 3 years ago. This was shot quiet recently.

Yeah sometimes its a bit weird, but it still didn't threw me off in the moment of watching it, so it wasn't that horrible

The book came after the podcast did
@@pheonixdavinson3151 But its still based on the book no?
His cartoonish acting is just him playing himself in own YT series. This was his first “serious” acting, and for a first time experience, not bad.

Brother has not watched in space 💀
Yeah his acting feels like a really good imitation of emotions rather than a replication of those emotions. If that makes any sense.
Really?? I thought it was on point? He did far better than the majority of actors I see on screen now
@@hermionetwo2739 yeah for me his acting was off but not too much, the show is very much watchable and enjoyable. im only on episode 3 but matteo's acting is carrying esp in scenes with just him and mark
@@ayoayo1044 huh interesting. I guess to me because I’ve seen mark actually get emotional in videos, it seems on point for his mannerisms
Because when you look at him,
you don’t see Mark Fischbach, an aspiring actor,
you see MARKIPLIER, comedic RUclipsr
I respectfully think you’re wrong. In my opinion the acting is amazing
I can agree with you
kinda overreacting
I wish they kept the original intro from the podcast and made something visual to match it.

Its kinda disappointing seeing how much was changed/cut out from the original
Its more bazed on the book but i get it
I really enjoyed the show ! but the acting was a little ok mark could have done better but again its his first attempt so on that part he did great
How do I watch the show? I cant get access in Prime Australia

It's only in America
