Hey Patrick! Thanks for checking out Part 1! Just wanted to let you know that I’ve uploaded a Part 2, as well as a video showing my post-production workflow with cleaning up the vocals! Hope you get a chance to check them out!
Thanks Christopher. You might have to dress the mic up a bit more to create more layers and also might want to think about taping both sides to try and keep it stable
Hey Chris! I know it’s been some time, but just stopping through to let you know that I’ve uploaded a Part 2, as well as a video showing my post-production process of cleaning up the muddy sounding vocals from hiding the lav! Hope the videos help and thanks for watching!!
Make sure you have enough cushion on the mic, try a mic sandwich with gaff tape or have the subject not move as much. It will never be 100% rustle free, but you can def minimize it.
Hey Giosué! @predator productionz gave a great response! Just to add to that...along with making sure you have enough cushion, also be sure that you're keeping the capsule tucked inside the foamie. If it's exposed, then you'll have the clothing still touching the microphone on top of the capsule. Also, if it's a fitted shirt, sometimes I'll also add a strip of super stick double-sided tape on top and slightly press the clothing down onto it. This will keep the clothing from moving around a bit in the area of the microphone. Hope this helps!
Good to know! Look forward to the post production video.
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
No prob! Thanks for watching!
Would love to see part 2 and the post process!

Good video. Does this method work well with lots of movement as well?
Thanks Christopher. You might have to dress the mic up a bit more to create more layers and also might want to think about taping both sides to try and keep it stable
Awesome tip! Do you have a video with the eq of that same setup?
Thanks Chris. Unfortunately not.

3:15 yeah that's because you're in shape. Some of us have a few lbs okay 😂😂😂
Lolololol!! They’re just shaped a little different on everyone. 😂😂
Hi bro please I need your help in micing
@abahmoses3054 hello, what do you need help with?
Great Vid! How often do you use a boom operator? or do you use a boom op and lav up your subjects as a combo?
I’m usually doing it all myself. I’ll setup the boom, as well as run a lav.
Great video!! Do you use the regular foamies or the mini’s?
Hey Jonathan! So I actually use the regular foamies, but majority of the time, I cut them in half and get two uses out of one.
Hey Sean, every time i try i can still hear the mic touching the shirt. Any advice?
Make sure you have enough cushion on the mic, try a mic sandwich with gaff tape or have the subject not move as much. It will never be 100% rustle free, but you can def minimize it.

@@SeanWoodsMedia yeah man, i tried different times and seems like it always works best when the shirt is attached well to the mic. Thanks!!
@@giosuepetrone3617 No problem at all!!!
