I watch another video showing a much more humane way of slaughtering it. That by putting in freezer for a while(don't remember how long, but not overnight) to numb they're sense of pain. Doing this still ensure it's freshness. This also works for most seafood especially lobster. I don't think it will work for land mammals(obviously). Again, squid is so great when frying it.

But just putting things into perspective, you guys know that there is no nonsense such as "stabbing them between the eyes" or "freezing them first" (they are frozen for transport but not right away), when they are caught on boats by the tonnes daily, to feed the mass demand? They suffocate on the deck, and die slowly as they are pinned underneath their fellow squids who all meet the same fate.
